Earth Bet: House of the Sun (Cultist Simulator/Worm)

Do we have to be so definitive with this? Can we not be a little more polite in asking what it is?
You can, the default options are just Micheal's feelings about things (in this case he wants an explanation on what the hell attacked him while he was dreaming). The write ins are for if you want to say something else or phrase it another way. I won't be taking the exact terminology you use, more as a guiding point. Like how the current options are just a summary of what Micheal would say

[X] Plan: Pleasant truth and gentle questioning.
-[X] On the Endbringers
--[X] You learned that they react strangely, almost as if they are picking and choosing what attacks to react to. In addition they seem to plan, or have some sort of intelligence behind their attacks (This is the full truth for this report)
-[X] On the Manus
--[X] Anything else? (Something is hiding in the forest, it is hostile, and perhaps the Master knows what it is?)
-[X] On your job
--[X] You're in the running for Director, with some aid you could possibly claim that position
-[X] On the minions you've trained
--[X] You've trained the broad base in simple combat
--[X] You've inducted a handful into Edge
-[X] On your aid
--[X] You have nothing to report

We need to give the Master more reasons not to kill us and convince her of our usefulness, which, however, is the same thing.
And of course it's better not to spoil our relationship with the inner circle.

We should ask the Master if they have an interest in parahumans. Either for recruitment or... study I suppose.
It's probably better to clarify in the next individual lesson. After all, now there is a report on the work done and not a discussion of abstract topics, and it's one thing to ask a question about your topic, it's another to start asking about things unrelated to the report.

---[X] Politely ask the Master to share any intel she has on this strange enemy in the Woods, so you can more effectively remove the threat and fulfill her will.

Pretty much the same as the other plan, which I'll vote for as well. Just a different way to guide the question.

"The workers will be done in ten minutes or so. I expect she'll return shortly after."

"Yes, they will be gone in the next ten minutes or so. She will likely return shortly after," he replied.
This is a rephrasing, probably meant to remove one of them.

[X] Plan: Report only our official goals

I like this, but i have to wonder, should we tell her that along with everything else, we are running for the director?

1. We are martial build and being director seems intrigue heavy

2. Have you noticed what others reported? They may be jealous of our success.

Also, no one reported any Mansus things, and in the end, is the question even important enough to ask? We know they can be killed and how to do that, which in my opinion is the only information that matters in the short-term. I think this question is better asked in one-on-one meetings between fellow cultists. Maybe Arch would know something or at least we would get him intrigued with info he didn't know.

So my plan is as follows:
[X] Plan: Report only our official goals

EDIT: I removed reporting training the broad base, since I realized that's probably also not important.

Probably best to be the reliable one, things going to plan makes the Wolf-Long, well, not happy, but less volatile.

Eh, Piggott never cared about intrigue, this city will reward the kind of person who can stare Lung in the eye without blinking. Edge rules conflict and my goodness is there a lot of conflict in Brokton Bay.

I think it would be intrigue heavy not because of our job, but because we would have to keep doing cult stuff while keeping cult stuff secret. And subverting local branch would require more intrigue while keeping that fact secret from the greater whole.

We have a moth for that. It is enough for us to reach the second level in it to get a +10 bonus and, taking into account our basic characteristics, we will have +18 for stealth actions, this is already at the level of world-class experts.
The same can be said about word games, but in relation to the Grail.

It is foolish to assume our cult is the only faction to have bonuses to actions. We would have to contend with large institutions that will have more resources than us. Also, you can't forget about parahumans. How much Moth do you think we need to avoid detection by thinkers like Lisa or seers like Contessa?

EDIT: I want to say that being equal to world class experts is not good enough. I don't want chances of our success be the same as coin flip.

While I like your plan and accept your reasoning, the Mansus is now different from how it should be. Either she knows why, and can tell us or not- which would tell us something important- or she doesn't, and she'll be made aware of what is likely a major problem. It's too important not to bring up.

As far as the other cultists. If they explored and didn't meet a creature like it, they'd likely have nothing to really bring up. Unless we want to play like Mike thinks that creature must be normal in the Mansus, he should all now. And it certainly didn't feel like it belonged there, of I remember the update correctly.

As for Director? We're in Houston. We have a chance at becoming a major political power- the PRT Director of the same City that one of the Triumverate is in. That's BIG.

Even if we struggle a lot, it's too good a chance to pass up. Just means we'll need to focus on more Moth and Grail alongside Edge. Possibly get some help from our fellows- and help them in turn.

We wanted to build camaraderie betwixt the inner circle? This seems like a good project, and lets them feel like it's more of a two-way street than an imbalanced owing of favors.

Overall, it feels important and far, far too important not to go for it. Plus, that level of authority means access to information and security levels that would be a nightmare to get through otherwise. As well as communication and relatively frequent interaction with Protectorate members- enough to potentially start bringing some Parahumans in on this.

That's- again- BIG.

Too many opportunities offered by this to risk not trying for it. At least as far as I'm concerned.
