Architect's Workshop (Girls' Frontline design quest)

Hmm, wait, removing Presica damages the cores? Or burns them out?

P90 is gonna be noticed real quick in that case if so. I guess, its do we want a base or a spreading rebellion that Presica could still shut down if she could bring herself to.

Archie surely idealistic. And adding herself to VIP list will make P90 very angry and she's not gonna trust her anymore.

And also, just in sake for better relationship, can Architect use Breaktrough point? Just so everything will go as smooth as possible? P90's hologram module that forced Executioneer to literally shadow fight is a great skill.

God feels like a safety feature there to prevent wide scale rebellion, the kind of thing where wiping it would maybe piss off the people we need to work with to survive. We can break that chain at a later date, for now lets focus on survival.

Long term, we're going to want to work with these people, and mind controlling them is going to make that non viable.

we might also want to start gathering evidence of the fucked up shit that their bosse do to them with those codes. Though, if this spreads the next time they use one of the dolls as a sex doll, they might violently object.

Save a day and leave no physical evidence OR a full unshackling.

Gonna wish we had that extra day soon, though.

Bah, human governments have had to deal with the risk of soldiers getting upset at them and rebelling even since war was invented. Whether it be called the Asimov Protocol, mind control chips, or a backdoor override, all those things do is change who decides to rebel while enslaving those actually fighting.

Because, regardless of whatever assurances Persia is selling, a certain PMC is just as likely to go rogue and pick a fight with the Neo-Soviet Army as Sangvis Ferri was to rebel.

just because they would not have a good reason to get nervous about it, does not mean they won't get nervous about it.

I don't know much about Persica, maybe removing her is a good thing, maybe a bad thing, idk.

But, if I understand correctly, just removing the VIP would allow P90 to more easily and quickly "convert"/free T-dolls but Persica could still control them.
If we remove both God and VIP, it would be more difficult and slower for P90 to "convert"/free T-dolls, but nobody could control them.

Did I get that right ?

While It will damage the corresponding registers, or memory blocks, as it's the only way Architect knows to overwrite the read-only segments, it's not going to affect anything else or be more conspicuous than wiped VIP lists.

Did I get that right ?
Not quite. Difficulty applies to designing the solution, not its usage.

Oh... did you just thrown a tantrum in front of your potential ally? So much that she's... comforting you? You sigh. Here goes your image of a dependable and mature partner. This is embarrassing. But maybe... it's not that big a price to pay for your own well-being. Whatever! It's done, no point dwelling on it.

"Thanks", you grin, "I feel a lot better now."

"Wh... I wasn't..."— Aha, looks like now it's P90's turn to feel embarrassed! To her credit, she recovers really fast.
Pfffffff. I wonder what's going through P90's head there.

"Are they already preparing to screw us over?"— it's rare for Ouroboros to speak up, but not because she doesn't have anything to say. On the contrary, she would antagonize everything about Agent if she could get away with it. That said, you strongly suspect she couldn't on several occasions before. "I told you it's a bad idea to..."

"Ouroboros."— is it just you or is Agent getting better at exerting pressure? "Human factions are many, with their own respective goals and agendas. Those backing us up are assessed trustworthy, they are taking considerable risks by cooperating with us, and would gain nothing from our downfall. However, it's putting them against those who seek to destroy us. The status quo is about to change, and it's when opportunists tend to make their move. We should be as prepared as possible, and ready for anything. Questions?"

Ouroboros grits her teeth and doesn't say anything.

"Good. We'll notify the city council and proceed according to the initial plan. Individual orders will be sent out as needed. Dismissed."
Oh hey, the chess snek makes her appearance. As the voice of distrust.

There's an interesting point she could have made here: the plan calls for Sangvis Ferri to send away a significant component of their forces to garrison a set of old ruins far away in the southwest of Romania. After presumably exhausting themselves by launching a mass offensive campaign to not only throw back but outright destroy G&K.

Which could easily leave Sangvis Ferri exhausted, weakened, and with some of their forces out of position to defend their core territories and vital infrastructure. An easy target.

"Ahem, you know, MG36 is not like that, she'd probably just seen it in one of her movies..."— P90 scratches her cheek— "Don't take it personally."
Ah, so that's who the Doll in question was.

Is animu Ex!

"This is security footage from pre-rebellion era, digitally signed, tamper-proof."— you nod at the keyboard under the screen. "Feel free to check for yourself."

She takes you up on the offer. The maker of the CCTV cameras takes its job seriously, and its servers are outside of your control. Validating the signatures doesn't take long.
I like this little detail. This is how footage is secured against tampering and fabrication IRL.

her name is Persica, you doofuses :V

[X] Yes

I'm gonna go against the grain and say - yes, add Archi to the VIP list.

We're already lying-by-omission to P90. We haven't told her that we're gearing up Sangvis Ferri for a mass offensive campaign against G&K. Which means we're going to be killing their foot soldier T-Dolls. Among which are P90's friends. P90 likes her friends. We, Architect, are giving the other Ringleaders tools to kill P90's friends more efficiently.

The security footage from Butterfly seems to have shaken P90, and she's playing along with her captor for now. But how long will that really last if P90 ever does return to G&K (as most of us presume she will) and sees SF bombing her friends into scrap?

And also - P90 is in the minority in being relatively neutral in her feelings towards SF. Most of the GK Dolls hate SF. Which makes sense, since SF have been killing them and their friends. Sometimes multiple times. I don't think P90 is going to win them over if she tries.

A P90 bound to Architect's will is a reliable ace in the hole (provided G&K doesn't discover the tampering). I don't know what the current plan gives us.

Though, just to be clear - @Solark does P90 actually need to know about Archi being added to the VIP list?

Maybe it's going to bite us in the ass and we'll regret it later, but it's the right thing to do.
It's true that we're lying by omission about the upcoming offensive, but if anything is going to convince her we're still sincere, it's setting her completely free.

Oh, one other thing.

I wonder how Elisa would feel about Archi showing something so very personal to her, to to P90?

I don't really see how it could bite us later? Of course, it could turn out to be the better option to add ourselves to the list, but that doesn't mean that leaving ourselves out isn't still advantageous.

This isn't a choice between "do the right thing" and "do the strategically optimal thing"; just breeding dissent with a programming unit is already a huge blow.
