040.30M | To Measure without Fear
In the dimly lit observation chamber, Magos Iomene-35 stood at the heart of her research council. She watched as the readings from the newly installed Warp Geiger flowed across the display screens. The device was sleek, its psychoreactive alloys glinting under the green luminescence. The Warp Geiger's needle-like arm moved with mechanical precision, reading ripples and distortions from the surrounding void. Every subtle twist in the Warp, no matter how small, was captured, analyzed, and processed.

"The Machine God's gift made manifest," Iomene-35 whispered, her mechanical eyes blinking slowly as she regarded the machine.

Beside her, Enginseer Gheron, now outfitted with enhanced warding protocols, adjusted his gauntlet, transmitting data directly to his neural cortex. He nodded approvingly. "The Warp Geiger will protect this station from the unseen. It is our first true defense against the perils of the Empyrean."

"Not the first, Enginseer," Iomene-35 corrected. "But it is our most refined. With it, we can monitor not only the anomalies within the Castellum but the very edges of Warp space surrounding us. This station is no longer blind."

As if on cue, a low rumble echoed through the chamber. Battle-automata of the Legio Cybernetica, massive and imposing, marched in perfect unison through the Castellum's Sanctum Militant. Their sleek, cold frames gleamed with freshly installed Wards, while the subtle hum of Gellar Field projectors pulsed around them like an aura of controlled energy. Each automaton had been modified by the Empyric Engineers, their chassis now inscribed with the newly redesigned Wards that the Magi had perfected. These machines were no longer vulnerable to the Warp's corruptive influence. They had become its wardens.

Archmagos Thanek, his plasteel body towering even over the largest of the battle-automata, continued to oversee their integration. His voice came through the station's vox-network. "The Legio Cybernetica stands ready. Your wards have fortified their machine spirits. They will serve as the eyes and fists of the Castellum."

"May the Machine God watch over us," Iomene-35 whispered, her eyes scanning the void outside the station. "We are ready."

You Have 3 [Three] Actions.
[ ] [General] Expand the Castellum

The Ephemeralis Astra Castellum, already a beacon of knowledge and defense, can evolve into an even greater citadel of power and discovery.
- [ ] Infrastructure (0/3)
- [ ] Military Stations (0/3)
- [ ] Research Domes (0/3)
- [ ] Voidship Dockyards (0/5)
- [ ] Starlit Observationis

[ ] [General] Forge Alliances (Who?)
Now that our faction has the respect of Mars' other Tech-Priests, the opportunity to forge alliances with influential Mechanicum factions presents itself.
- [ ] Hespherstari
- [ ] Provender
- [ ] Explorator
- [ ] Genetor
- [ ] Logis
- [ ] Vulpaxis
- [ ] Metallurgicus
- [ ] Lictanex
- [ ] Dominus
- [ ] Cordantor
- [ ] Mhalagra
- [ ] Alchemys
- [ ] Myrmidex
- [ ] Lachrimallus
- [ ] Munitoria Logis
- [ ] Macrotechnia
- [ ] Lacyraemara
- [ ] Bonded Cybernetica
- [ ] Autokrator
- [ ] Basilikon Astra
- [ ] Legio Titanicus
- [ ] Ordo Reductor
- [ ] The Skitarius

[ ] [Military] Conquering the Terrors Beneath Mars
By the Will of the Machine God. Into the Depths of Mars.

[ ] [Research] Enhance the Wards' Capabilities
Currently, the Wards are powerful, but they are also fragile and limited in scope. Further research could yield advancements in durability, range, and flexibility.
- [ ] Durability
- [ ] Scope Refinement (0/2)
- [ ] Strength
- [ ] Denial of the Warp denizens (0/2)

[ ] [Research] The Question of the Machine Soul
The Wards, as they stand, protect the spiritual aspect of the sacred Machine that reside within the vast array of Mechanicum technology. With the Magi Ætheric possessing this groundbreaking ability, the potential for greater communion with the Machine Spirit becomes tantalizingly within reach.
- [ ] The Truth(Fact) of the Soul (0/2)
- [ ] Rites of Empathy
- [ ] Rite Overhauling (0/2)
- [ ] Rite of Manifestation (0/2)

[ ] [Research] Develop New Warp-Related Technologies
The Warp Drive and Gellar Field are merely the first steps in the exploitation of Warp energies. With the Ephemeralis Astra Castellum built, the Magi Ætheric can now seek to develop new machines, perhaps even ships, that interact directly with the Warp in novel ways within a... safe-ish environment.
- [ ] Integrate Wards into Voidships
- [ ] Metamaterials (0/4)
- [ ] Psy-Matter (0/2)
- [ ] Psy-Tools and Psy-Machinery (Primitive)

Having means of detecting the Warp at that level is really impressive and useful.

Proper defenses are great to have.

Starlit Overvationst I assume is an array of many Warp Geigers used to measure warp activity on Mars and around it. So it may help by finding where warp corruption is for us to fight during Conquest.

Lets integrate wards into voidships as next Exploratory Fleet should be soon going out so help them out.

And if we will be doing Conquest of Surface we will need an actual army to put boots on ground in numbers.

If 012345 is right about Starlit Observationis being a Warp Geiger array it will help with pinpointing threats and threat levels. increasing ward durability should help prevent them from being broken off.

...wait, what? Did all Ward Research barring Scope get decreased by 1? Huh... That changes things.
There are two possible (non-typo) explanations for this. One is that, since Scope Efficiency is a fundamental efficiency tech, it makes the other aspects easier to improve. The other is that Scope was the last category to go from Non-Existent to Primitive, and raising the baseline makes further progress easier.

Basically getting our Wards up to Crude across the board (possibly barring Scope) and then finally doing the thing. We want that loot, and letting things escalate seems like a bad idea.

I guess this is the same as my plan but I wonder if the change in order makes a difference. I do like the idea of doing the ward improvements first.

This makes the most sense to me.
