Because:
1. It is not urgent, it is on countdown of 5 turns, see how only one word is red. For most part we can wait until it is all red, with little consequance, compared to failed cleansing
2. It is solo because we took no actions to gather allies; unless you count learning basics of tactics and strategy
3. Bare bones because we only researched to streamlining of the wards and nothing else.
Oh no, you will get your PsyTech and unlock the unavailable research options once you build the Research Station.
It's just, as I said before, that every faction, including yours, agree that the research needs to be done both faaaarrr out of Mars and with every redundancy and failsafe possible.
Oh that changes some of my medium term plans which are taking these ones before cleansing first layer of mars:
Rites: empathy and communication so we may ask MS about possible traps/abmushes and not be lied to and for easier diplomancy with factions
Wards: Strenght and/or durability and Scope Efficiency, because we need to not lose the personel and demon denile is expensive and we are in AP hell
Military: checkpoints and vaults to make sure nothing spills out and if we find tech we can't destroy and/or cleanse yet, that we have something to put it
Allies: I want to get at least 2 who can help with tunel fighting

1. There is no indication that that it is on a 5 turn countdown and it is marked as urgent so by definition it is. Missed QM post on matter
2. The Forge Alliances action seems to indicate making political allies with other factions and we are not alone as it seems we are running an entire faction. But I will consed that it can be used for military aid.
3. That is all that we know of, we are still an experienced magos and it is not like we have any options in-quest to properly improve our military capabilities that we have not already taken.

We were tasked with cleansing Mars because our miracle of discovering wards, if convenctional methods to cleanse it were enough somebody else would have already done so. I am not saying that those methods won't help but our best bet is on psychic research. Also, we are magos of a sect that has barely 500 people in it being expirienced doesn't mean as much given where we are going

Making allies could help but I'm not sure if we can expect to be able to get them to help us in time for the first layer, this said finishing the station is what will open up the tech options so we should rush it to see if there is anything that could help us more.

The Rite of Empathy works by connecting to the [INSUFFICIENT DATA] of the MS soul, allowing you to be more aware of its necessities and wants.
While the Rite of Communion works by connecting to the [INSUFFICIENT DATA] of the MS soul, enabling an inmensely clearer connection between the Magos and the MS.
You are not going to be allowed to work on Warp weapons just yet, the Warp is still in Slaanesh birthday party mode, maybe the next century when they're dealing with being knocked out and the hangover.

With the vault and checkpoints set up we're pretty prepared for the Sweep, though we don't need to do it just yet and could afford to finish the facility, maybe even try knocking out some of the Machine spirit research to.
Depends on what options crops up I guess. Once the Research Center is up and running, I do want to address the scope and durability issues of the Wards.

The sky over Mars glowed a dull red, casting long shadows across the wastelands that stretched before Magos Iomene-35. From her position on the ridge, she could see the beginnings of the newly constructed checkpoints, their machine-forged shapes stark against the blood-tinted horizon. The Mechanicum had begun to retake the quarantined zones—an effort long overdue.
Behind her, a column of Skitarii Vanguard moved with military precision, their footfalls echoing softly through the thin Martian atmosphere. The soldiers' presence was comforting, their ranks bolstered by heavy machinery. But even they, augmented as they were, would not be enough when the time came to retake the inner quarantined zones. That was the true horror of Mars—the forgotten experiments, the arcane technologies, and the abominations that had been sealed away generations ago during this Age.
"Magos Iomene-35," came a voice through her cranial augmetics, crisp and direct.
It was Tribune Darvoss-9023, his voice as sharp as the mechandrites coiled around his body. "We are approaching Checkpoint Gamma. Initial wards have been activated. We await further instruction."
"Good," Iomene-35 responded. "Tell the Magos Vehlaris--00302 to begin securing the area with Wards. Prepare for potential breaches."
Machine spirits hummed contentedly within the newly activated turrets and defense grids. But Iomene-35 knew these checkpoints were a stopgap, a precaution, but a necessary one.
"How is the construction of the Vaults?" Asked Darvoss-9023.
"Almost finished, only 173 estimated martian hours left." Iomene-35 stated.
As the hours passed, the Vaults neared completion. Massive, bunker-like structures that extended deep into the Martian crust, they were reinforced with Warded alloys and embedded with Gellar-field technology to prevent any warp-based intrusions. The Empyric Engineers had insisted on their construction after observing the anomalous behavior of certain entities within the quarantine zones.
It has not been stated yet when the full assault on the quarantined zones will begin. But Magos Iomene's thoughts were already turning to what they would find within those cursed ruins. There were whispers of ancient technologies capable of immense destruction—and worse, the possibility of Abominable Intelligences who had twisted their allegiance away from Humanity and the Machine God.
But Mars was ready.
The checkpoints stood vigilant, and the Vaults waited, their hollow depths eager to swallow whatever could not be destroyed.
Mars would reclaim its legacy.
You Have 3 [Three] Actions. [ ] [General] Establish an Empyric Research Station (2/3)
The faction could request the construction of a facility properly dedicated to Warp research, isolated from the rest of Mars to prevent potential catastrophic consequences. Within, experiments could be conducted on Warp entities, Warp phenomena, and even heretical technologies, testing the limits of the Wards' protective abilities.
[ ] [General] Forge Alliances (Who?)
Now that our faction has the respect of Mars' other Tech-Priests, the opportunity to forge alliances with influential Mechanicum factions presents itself.
[ ] [Military] Conquering the Terrors Beneath Mars
By the Will of the Machine God. Into the Depths of Mars.
[ ] [Research] Enhance the Wards' Capabilities Currently, the Wards are powerful, but they are also fragile and limited in scope. Further research could yield advancements in durability, range, and flexibility.
[ ] [Research] The Question of the Machine Soul
The Wards, as they stand, protect the spiritual aspect of the sacred Machine that reside within the vast array of Mechanicum technology. With the Magi Ætheric possessing this groundbreaking ability, the potential for greater communion with the Machine Spirit becomes tantalizingly within reach.

this should finish off the research station and give us an alliance with one of the legions. Making allies with the Genetors is more of a long term investment given they are the biotech people and can help with looking into navigators, psykers, and blanks

Are Runes different from Wards? If so, which faction in the Cult Mechanicus are the Rune Priests under?

Might as well get started on Research after finishing up the Station...
Though Forging Alliances might be nice too but then again, I'm not sure which. Genetor might be the odd bunch with the Wards and all though will be worthwhile due to the Adeptus Astartes in the future. And whatever faction the aforementioned Rune Priests are if they're not under our purview.
