Ahhh. Crud. I thought we would have figured it out IC due to the prohecy's unusal wording. Personally i would go with plan to crush the xeno if i didnt know IC, but i'll edit my plan once i have time. Work is busy.

@Oshha would it be possible to potentially delay the Dark Angels I'd rather not fight a chapter who may still have access to some of the stuff the had in the Heresy.

Would it also be possible to misdirect the first? What action would it be?
Unfortunately IC we don't know it's DA we are assuming it's Orks.

So all preparations are done with us expecting orks. we can still bring as much as we can but we can't try to do spoiling raids or anything like that.

closest we get to that is suprising the Dark angels with EVERYTHING we have .

I say Keep plan survive just replace mentions of DA with Orks.

we still know this is a force that will destroy the knights completely without assistance and such a force would require our full attention anyways .

Nobody in-character knows about the Unforgiven. Edit: The term at least as he knows about the Dark Angels and their successors. Osmadiel and his Fallen were out of the loop while the Dark Angels keep the term in-house like the existence of the Fallen.

Noooooo.

The Dark Angels don't tell anybody about the Fallen, including Junior members of their Chapter. This is their prime secret. They have disappeared Inquisitors looking into this shit.

We will not know in character until they literally attack us.

just to confirm if we remove the mentions of the Dark angels from plan Survive it'd be okay still?

Just say that more Orks might join in for a massive Waagh that could destroy the Chapter and most of the Sector.

That's something that often happens with the greenskins. Buggers just love to appear anywhere they want.

Well unless we get a sudden appearance of Pokemon Trainer Trayzn looking to add some rare Dark Angels DAOT warships to his collection or the Lion wakes up and asks WTF is going on and puts a stop to this it should be interesting in the Chinese sense.

Trayzn doesn't exist in this universe.

Look this is bad and is going to be costly.

But the DA are almost certainly not going to be prepared for 2 and a half ish chapters of space marines a tau battle fleet and whatever else we can muster. They didn't come here at the head of an imperial crusade this is a " private" vendetta. we muster properly and we can repulse them and loot their shit.

as bad as this will bleed us it's worse for them because they're expected resistance just quadrupled, they are attacking a dug in peer foe, they are a LOONG way from the supply lines and the longer the fight goes the more we can bring from the sector.

we will win this fight it's just a matter of how costly it will be.

Wait what? what happened to him?

Don't forget Battlefleet Asgardia, the Asgardia Auxilia, Vanaheim Valkyries, and what the Order of the Sacred Storm has available. Remember, we're out crusading and about to hit the Orkz so the Dark Angels are going to run into the biggest concentration of military might in the Sector.

Crap, well… guess we better hope the plan works

It'll work the question is how much blood are we going to need to spend to make it work.

As dangerous as the DA are they're going to need to trade almost 3-1 (or 2-1 if they're bringing successor reinforcements) on space marines against a dug in opponent without even factoring in the Tau fleet .

The Gloriana makes up for a lot of that but it's not all doom and gloom

Iirc those forces are already committed I don't see them being able to pivot quickly to deal with the DA.

By the time they are able to reinforce us it's likely the battle with the DA will be decided. Either they've overwhelmed us or we've put up enough of a fight they they'll dip before we can bring the sector down on their heads.

They have no reason to stand and fight against long odds they aren't here for the sector they're just here to kill the knights.

I'm quite certain that the angels of redemption are joining with the DA since their quite fallen crazy that they left an entire Hive world undefended. Also in an earlier turn we found their first company ship and took their stuff.

For the moment we know it's the Dark Angels but nothing else, we also don't know if they know about us or the IS. For all we know they probably don't even know the full strength of the KOC, only that a large group of Fallen are here, I mean they have deployed their full chapter strength after even a few Fallen before so it wouldn't surprise me.

Also, we don't know if the Angels of Redemption are here either, though I'd say it's a good possibility one way or another. The dice Gods are fickle being after all.

Also hopefully it isn't the invincible reason Gloriana but the spare that is the truths razor cause it's atleast less conspicuous that the da lost the their spare Gloriana rathert than their storied flagship.
