    I would have expected atleast temporary delay in their expansion as they try to 'digest' inclusion of Asgardia sector.

    To both include tech developments they gain in(reverse engineer) it into they wider tech base while also helping industrialise it to help any further expansions.

    I can't even tell anymore which way this tally is going for the vote, feel like it could go either way, though both votes have a lot of good argument points either way so I guess we'll see

    Once again I plead with my fellow questers to see reason. We have a golden opportunity to make ourselves not just an invaluable asset to the Tau, but to become a major power broker within them with the power to dictate policy. And with them, we could strengthen each other significantly more than if we were just mere allies, and the Tau would be able to encourage development and a growth of standard of living among our people much better than we could if we were on our own.

    If some of you are afraid that becoming part of the Tau would make conflict of the Imperium inevitable, we're already well past that point of being able to prevent that what with the Dark Angels inevitably wanting our head due to us knowing about their secret and working with Fallen and the QM said we'd be able to keep the Tau's expansion controlled if we become Supreme Commander.

    And personally, I think it's much more interesting to see a Space Marine chapter joining the Tau than trying to do Badab Sector 2.0: Electric Boogaloo. There's already quite a few stories about the latter. I don't recall there being something where the former happens.

    So I been wonder how that psyker academy we started is going after decades without sending psykers to Terra but keeping them and training them?

    Or didnt we just lost a company in Warp and were going to try scrying their fate/location?

    Would like for it to be this, but if not that is fine, have simply read more and with some clarification from others in the thread I realized this may be a better option. I mean we're going to be at war with the Imperium anyway and they already hate us, having full Tau backing like this means a better situation for us. Also we need to deal with the Inquisition Fortress whose location we still know of but haven't done anything about yet.

    Does having an Astartes on their ruling council make the Tau Empire acceptable Xenos allies/protectorates or even more vile enemies to the Imperium? Short of committing species-wide collective suicide there's not much more a species can do than that to show their openness to alliance.

    I'm gonna counter that that if we become Supreme commander of the tau empire by the time That guilliman awakes and finds us we'd be pretty much there rulers since it's been 500 years and tau don't live long but we do and we can dictate polices by that point now and guilliman is likely gonna be confused but impressed that we managed to get an empire far more advanced hopeful than the imperium is now.

    Also since Oshha said that the tau are gonna super expand soon which we really don't need cause they are close to the realm of ultramar which for us the Storm avengers is a big nono in trying to takeover our ancestral empire and it will give us an even bigger target in our backs if they do expand their so a Supreme commander that can mitigate that would work and we can expand somewhere else not ultramar. Maybe choth system where cousins in Carmine talons live in.
