Well, almost everyone voted for it, but that was less out of chasing the Sun, and more just... Doing no gym at all would've been real dumb for progression aha. (Especially since, IIRC, there was something about the action "To Train Them Is Your Cause" being tied to Badge somewhat?)I find it funny in some ways that almost everyone voted to keep chasing the sun, and then a large chunk are changing their mind.
I made the mistake of thinking the compromise option that we might actually succeed at would be popular. In a Quest, of all things. More the fool me.I find it funny in some ways that almost everyone voted to keep chasing the sun, and then a large chunk are changing their mind.

I just disagree that embarking on a course of action that's definitely going to fail is necessary for roleplaying here.If this was most other MCs then I would have gone for the middle ground. There is so much we need to do.
But Mary has already shown a disregard for her own mental health, and she has committed to this. I can't vote for moderation and feel like we are doing her and the path she is on justice. Moderation doesn't feel in character for her yet, in this regard.

Like, we barely, by the skin of our teeth, beat Katie in a 1-badge fight 2v3. Doing Both here means that we're doing a 2- and 3-badge fight with an absolute maximum of 4 training/Renne Bond actions before 2 and 6 before 3, and that's if we, as players, force ourselves intentionally ignore every other part of the quest. We are going to lose, and badly.
Now, I don't like losing on purpose (hence my voting the way I am), but if we do take this course of action I guess I will take it as an opportunity to decisively end this subplot with some appropriate self-reflection and character growth instead of continuing to bash our character's head against the wall for the sake of roleplaying. I just kinda wanted to save that for a couple FEs and actually get a third badge sooner than later.
If anything else, we will get to see what Iono will come up with as a way to both test us and boost her viewers. Since, you know, we kinda need to pick Iono as our second gym to have a chance.
I think Renne still could teleport us? Nothing about the Bond 3 requirement seems to impede on her ability to do so, and she knows the move, the only problem is that we haven't been to any Gym locations before. (Well, did we stop at Iono's town on the way to Mesagoza?)such as Renne being able to Teleport us or Roland being able to fly us.
I get the impression that Mariana wouldn't yet feel comfortable asking Renne to help with something that's just a simple time save. Making things more convenient.I think Renne still could teleport us? Hmmm, perhaps...I get the impression that Mariana wouldn't yet feel comfortable asking Renne to help with something that's just a simple time save. Making things more convenient.
After one more bonding event probably.
Larry could work too. Especially with Ruby having the surprise electric attacks. We would just need to train up our rail gun.
She'd be willing once she masters Teleport. She'd think having time without one of Leaf's Pokemon looking over her shoulder would be great.Hmmm, perhaps...
But this has me curious enough that I wanna outright ask Arvis. Hey @ArvisPresley, would Renne (even if Mary wouldn't want to, so specifically Renne) be okay with providing a teleport service, or would that need a higher Bond first?
