Pretty accurate for what would happen with contact to Azula's blood, albeit not totally so. For one Azula's blood would cause problem way faster than that, and it wouldn't so much as degrade something as completely mutate it to the point of being completely unrecognizable.

Also Wu is just as curious on what the hell they ended up making.
 
Our blood is the cure for cancer and also there's a 1% chance that it would be successful and the only side effect would be you having a patch of scaly skin where the shot was the rest would be making you into a living tumor

I mean yes and no? Sure if her blood gets in anyone else's blood stream death would be the lucky outcome. On the other hand otherwise you could drink the stuff and you'd be fine. Well maybe a stomach ache but outside of direct injection your pretty safe.

I was gonna go with more rapid and unpredictable effects while drafting this omake up, but between me not fully knowing the extent of how utterly screwed up(tm) her blood is, plus some small narrative details, I went with a slower option.

(Plus I figured that the researcher would probably want to wait for the same amout of time it took for a sample of the Allotops to be collected)

Also Editing this to avoid double posting, but @Vault166 has Azula been able (or is she able) to mimic some of the symbols of the scientist's clipboards? (I.E scratching them into the dirt)? Probably be something that would spark some curiosity maybe?

Also, might have forgotten this / not picked up on it since it got lost in the thread, but does Morada also have Human DNA?

Kind of disturbing even. Mostly in that it is worryingly stretching the limits of what exactly you can do with biology. I mean, I don't think Nubby even ingested any of the blood, so it would have to have worked purely through absorption into the skin.

Which is incredibly terrifying.
 
We're literally the closest equivalent to one big, walking prion disease.

• Very hard to remove/neutralise (Extreme regeneration / incredibly resilient structure)
• Contact leads to an incurable and deadly condition (Nubby on exposure to our blood and the other prion diseases like Kuru or Krutzfeld-Jakob when infected tissue is eaten)
• Can survive in an environment for a surprisingly long time (we're a big, ageless dinosaur, and prions can literally survive in temperatures as high as 1,000°C or living in environments for YEARS)

The resemblence is uncanny.

(And cool)

But yeah, our existence alone would probably be the point of study for DECADES to come, and I'd be very curious to see how an alternate version of JW would play out with an ageless, genetic trainwreck possibly vibing on the island.

(I'd also love to see the reactions to our first mutation when that option presents itself)

Not at the moment, there was an option to try (I think? It was a while ago) but it wasn't picked.

Your blood actual doesn't do crap when absorbed through the skin, in fact depending on what's done to it that would be the safest way to use your blood.

Nubby died from her own biology rejecting itself and no one noticing until it was to late for them to help. Because most her organs were cancer squared by that point, and anything that wasn't cancerous was fighting her own immune system.

You also wouldn't survive in a 1,000 Celsius environment for more than like ten minutes. If you mutate right you could, but otherwise no.

Funny things is that the Power Nap interlude is the one that actually gets into that. In the general sense of Henry Wu waking up after the best (and most dangerous) power nap of his life.

Something to note about all this, but I'd reckon that the research team is gonna get even more proof that we aren't behaving like a regular dino should (including the whole, y'know, swearing like a sailor thing that's TOTALLY just from the parrot DNA)
