Considering this background's ambition would a long term goal of being made a rogue trader be on the table (likely to be played out in a sequel quest) , as once the Imperium expands rogue traders to act as pathfinders for the imperial crusade is are going to be needed in massive numbers doubly so since at this point in the timeline rogue traders tended to drop like flies as these are 30k rogue traders , in 40k being a rogue trader meant your were part of the Imperium's 1% , have an entire protectorate empire within an empire to your self with all the resources there in for whatever use you decide , have thousands of years of accumulated generational wealth and you dynasty owns assets across the galaxy from business, shipping routes , to properties to whole continents and your family likely has connections everywhere from marrying all its extra children into every powerbase that would take them for thousands of years, as a rogue trader you also have the backing and protection of the Imperium of man the undisputed galactic super power and hegemon
but in 30k a rogue trader has none of the above, it's just you plus retinue, your ship plus crew and that warrant of trade in a hostile unexplored galaxy that you have to path find for the imperium's war machine while staying alive to make a profit, so it's up to you to make your dynasty's fortune but on the bright side the barrier to entry to being made a rogue trader is the lowest it's ever been and will be , granted that is because of the sheer mortality rate as the emperor sends out anyone and everyone with the slightest ability to do the job out into the hostile galaxy as if they were fire and forget exploration drones
