Solar Auxilia Officer Quest. A 30k Early Great Crusade quest.

[X] Plan: Born in the Void

It is good to see you back running quests. I look forward to seeing what insanity we have to fight.

@Mayto

How would you describe the differences between the Ring of Iron and the Jovian shipyards, besides shape of course? The level of production, which is better at producing which, etc?
Mass production of mars compared to Jupiter's higher quality construction and their ability to maintain pre-Age of Strife relic ships.

But most importantly.

Crews.

The Jovian Void Clans are the ones whom actually provided the bulk of the crews for the Imperium's early great crusade. It took a decade or two for the Imperium to set up new naval academies and integrate the naval traditions and fleets of other human worlds into the Armada Imperialis.

For those interested in what little Frenc lore exists in 40k, I would check out The Last Church. The last ruler of the Frenc rebelled against The Emperor in the city of Avelroi and died fighting at the Battle of Gaduare alongside thousands of militia and Uriah Olathaire, to Thunder Warriors. Interestingly, the proto death guard (aka Dusk Raiders) was also present, which could explain the birth of 7th Verdun Chemical Engineer Detachment. Personally, I think Gaduare or Avelroi would be more appropriate than Verdun as this would be a reminder of where the squad could have originated from since the Dusk Raiders were some of the few legions who actually used destroyers and chem weapons.

Shouldn't you take Planetary Landing instead of Void War if you want Helldivers? Or am I missing something here?

Looks like
French is ahead at 21 votes (22 if you count the vote for chemical warfare), Born in the Void is at 20 votes, and Blessed Defiant is at 9 votes.

I am currently writing all the things I can without needing to know the results of the vote. When I am done, I will end the voting, unless we're at a tie.

[X] The Revenge of the French
-[X] [ORIGIN] Terran Nation
--[X] Pari (Paris, France)
-[X] Chemical Warfare
-[X] [LEGION] The Purgation of the Neptunian Deeps
-[X] [NAME] 7th Verdun Chemical Engineer Detachment

The image of a Solar Auxilia officer sharing a piece of ultra radioactive cheese with a proto-Blood Angel amuses me greatly.

Name has been changed from "7th Somme Chemical Engineer Detachment" to "7th Verdun Chemical Engineer Detachment" to maximize French energy.

Thats just kriegers
Lmao

I am ending the vote so I can get to work writing the update.

We are at 20 Votes for Into the Void
We are at 21 Votes for Revenge of the French

The third biggest vote is Marine Support, a very unglorious job that is closest to Chemical Warfare in terms of rank or status, and it shares Purgation as the preferred option for the first battle.

So I feel confident enough to say that Revenge of the French is more closely in line with the wishes of the thread, due to the focus on going to the Neptunian Deeps.

Mind. If people feel different about this and the majority of people choosing Blessed Defiant ask for Into the Void, I will declare that option the winner instead.

Please consider me asking for Into the Void as far as that is concerned.

Just to keep in mind. Cohorts change due to circumstances and the like. You are not locked out of ever getting Volkites or nice stuff just because you started out by pumping nerve gas into mutant dens.
The reason there was no Armoured option is because the Auxilia does not have any tanks yet. The Leman Russ won't be found for at least three decades.
