Just a thought, but thinking about our tattoos that allow us to pretend to be in a specific scenario for the purposes of charm activation.

So, we're building a super-manse and we need, say, a hundred successes to finish it. We use our tattoos to pretend to be imprisoned with the release condition being finishing the manse within the next turn or whatever our craft interval is. At Essence 4 we trigger CCP at as a Shaping effect we succeed at the challenge with a threshold of one, I.e. just over the bare minimum required to succeed. As a result we generate 101 successes worth of progress and complete the manse.

I am not sure if Lorgar actually has access to Celestial MAs. Terrestrial, 100%, but Celestial might be out of reach. Primarch seems to not map perfectly to the Terrestrial-Celestial-Solaroid system, because they are not really Exalts.

A Primarch should absolutely be able to do Celestial Martial Arts with a teacher. Space Marines are more dubious.

Demons can learn celestial martial arts so if we build a demon that can merge with him using the relevant spirit charn that shares charms then the merged entity should be able to learn them, even if he can't.

Also, for Lorgar, Infernal Monster Style's divination blocking is particularly useful. He's presumably not outside Fate.

His dad might not appreciate that.

That instant-manse combo looks neat, btw.

His dad didn't him pledging his soul to the Primordial Annihilator, so…

Instant manse (or arbitrary world building with CCP) would have to wait for Essence 4 even if it's possible.

Ah, then Fan Morgal should awaken Lorgar's Essence as soon as possible and begin teaching him martial arts.

Fan Morgal should also reinvent the various Terrestrial and Celestial Martial Arts style as soon as is feasible, the better to teach them to Lorgar.

Ah, to think of Lorgar performing the katas of Dreaming Pearl Courtesan style and Violet Bier of Sorrows style.

One would be very interested to see how the other Primarchs react to witnessing Lorgar performing katas of various Celestial Martial Arts styles.

This does not work? Here is the text.
Infernals with Essence 4+ may spend an additional Willpower when activating this Charm in order to ensure a threshold one success on the enhanced action as a Shaping effect. The character can't use this effect to destroy magical objects, but she may augment actions that circumvent such barriers nondestructively. Using this effect to escape a clinch breaks the hold immediately.
So you suceeded on the roll but not ALL the rolls of an Extended roll. Because that seems WAY too broken.

If I am wrong, consider this as a House rule. Because Instant manse and instant Iron Ring is too far for my liking. It applies per roll but not the entire action, unless the action only has one roll.

Actually, we're thinking about the martial arts in completely the wrong way.

What matters in the long run are the native charms only Fan can learn, as he can pick up and teach both of the styles' basic charms.

Not really. What you pick now, you can natively learn. The rest? You will need to research and that is a Main Quest for CMA. Minor Quest for TMA.

Although obfuscating fate would be good for Lorgar, sociopath switch would be not (Infernal monster style was made to corrupt exalts by the demon that invented it).

And wouldn't actually prevent Lorgar selling his soul like a chump, which is what happened anyway.

A terrestrial martial art would be good for the tribe\legion.

That's why the release condition has to be that the Infernal only gets a single roll. Think of it on a small scale. The Infernal will be released from prison only if they paint as masterwork painting of the queen right now in front of the court. Usually a masterwork requires five success's, so when you activate CCC they succeed with a threshold of one, generating a painting with six craft successes.

Fair enough to disallow it though. It's a hack that is immensely hard to arrange without the tattoos, although I saw it in a PbP game once and as impressed, where one PC summoned a third circle demon to keep another PC imprisoned on those terms.

The post game ruling was that in future this could be used to generate no more than twenty successes, although it was still Shaping so allowed reality warping to compensate for lack of tools, etc, and that jailors were allowed to set incremental milestones that allowed release.

Ah, that's good to know.

So unlocking the charms will allow us to spend exp before turn 5 correct? And turn 5 is us complete ông preparations and getting ready to start to settle the wound?

What would be better? defenses to survive, stealth to hide or offense to fight demons?

Ah, best get started as soon as is reasonable for researching martial arts, then.

One dearly wishes to teach Lorgar the Celestial Martial Arts styles.

One wonders how it would shape his Mythos. Perhaps an aspect like martial philosopher.

Perhaps Lorgar would be reciting the sutras. Once, there was a maiden. It would be amusing to see how much it would confuse the other Primarchs.

When you enter the Wound is up to you. You can enter at the end of Turn 3 turn 4 or even end of turn 5.

But yeah. End of each turn, you spend xp.

I'd say the choice of Yozi should be between Ebon Dragon for disguise charms or Adorjan for getting strong low level combat charms that build towards being able to create clones.

Malfeas really isn't useful for us at all that I can see with the challenges we face that I can see.

Hm, one supposes that the charms of the Ebon Dragon are too useful to ignore.

That said, having to touch anything related to the Ebon Dragon feels so... unclean. It is the principle of things. To know the Ebon Dragon is to hate the Ebon Dragon.
