To be honest, I have no idea why the vote timer was set for so long. There's not a whole lot to dissect and discuss there.

There is a timer stating how voting won't be open for several hours yet in addition to the original mention and other people explicitly reminding people of such.
Personally, I think that there comes a time where if people are just that committed to not paying attention to anything other than the absolute bare necessities to the point that they miss out on information such as that their vote isn't going to count if they can't be bothered to wait to make it, then it doesn't matter how much you try to tell them and you just have to accept that their vote is going to be a lost cause.

The options with colors determine how Azula will develop (both in personality and physically/biologically).
For now the focus has been mostly on Azula (king) and some green (prototype) options.

Sorry to spoil your fun, but there isn't any zombie fungus, I like the creativity though.

This is the reason, colored options won't have any immediate effect but they will 'color' the researchers opinion on you. Also real life stuff, but mostly the effect it will have on the story.
If I were to take every post in the prologue into account so far, you would be heavily leaning towards King at the moment. A minor leaning to Prototype for some of the stuff you've pulled but mostly King. I'll also be updating the some of the information posts at some point today so keep an eye out for that.

or maybe the dna of dinosaurs dont help much against new aggressive types of fungus that weren't in existence in the time period

Yeah blue is the king path, it leans towards bestial nobility and fair judgement without being absolutely insane and brutal like the skorpios Rex or indom.
... Part of me wonders if we could use King path points + our parrot mimicry to take over the velociraptors.

To be fair to Indo Rex, that is quite literally the *textbook* case of them just Horrifically Fucking Up taking care of the Animal and it is explicitly called out as such by Chris Prat the Dino Expert, "This creature has a better relationship with the crane than any of us", and that's before getting into the fact that the Indo was extremely intelligent, to at least the point where such solitary confinement can cause disastrous issues in the Psyche of the animal.
A better example would be the Indo Raptor, which really had only 2 states 'Creepy Ass Horror Movie Monster' and 'HYPERVIOLENCE', but that's also because InGen horrifically fucked up the creature and then trained it to be a weapon.
It's almost as if the Movies are trying to say that playing God with life itself is probably a bad idea.
So ive been looking at the informational and saw that we a a - on adaptation does this mean that we couldve been highly adaptable but couldn't have mutated through omakes. (on highly stable) and are omakes the only source(prolly for now it would have to be heavily balanced) could eating other hybrids give a discount on specific mutations

You could try and convince them yes, but that wouldn't really have much to do with king points. That would be more a prototype thing, or Tyrant if you were trying to convince them to just go full murder hobo like the indominus.
Sorry no zombie plant, and you could technically get bonus's to mutation by eating thing aligned with it but I'm still trying to figure how that would work. As for DNA stability, adaption would have let you adapt to your location over a span of time.
Meaning you could have eventually adapted to become a deep sea creature, or if you wanted to be ridiculous, swim in lava. It would have taken a long time, but you could have done it. If you had picked an option without Mutation, than yes the Mutation points system would have been locked.
As for eating other Hybrids... I wouldn't exactly recommend it since they don't really have any mutations worth it, also one of them is probably not safe to eat.
Well now this is definitely a thing I wish could happen.

Swimming in lava is pretty hard. Lava flows are usually too shallow to really swim in for something decently large, and it's dense and viscous enough that it's hard to actually swim instead of ending up walking on top of it, or doing something closer to burrowing than swimming.
Oh and there's also the heat and toxic fumes.
