Gundam SEED Rebuild - Time Travel Fix-it Quest

[] Depart for Heliopolis without notice: Heliopolis was where everything fell apart. You might want to arrive earlier for preparation [Cost 2 days & 1 Budget. No DC, Automatic.]
- [] Draft a message during flight: 2 letters of conflicting information. Uzumi gets a letter in regards to Cagalli finding out about Kira and running off angrily to find him in Heliopolis. Erica gets an anonymous letter delivered by a friendly political entity regarding the fact that ZAFT knows about the G-project, Astray's and are sending a commando squad to steal them.
- [] Find Kira: You are quite sure he was somewhere near the campus? He doesn't know Cagalli yet though. [Cost additional 0.5 half-day; Intrigue DC - 20/22/24]

The awnser? Let's have everyone do our work for us. I'm hoping for Erica to panic and try to get the Astray's shipped off early. Having Cagalli hijack Orbs own products is less politically bad. Then have Uzumi actually break into sweat finding out that his daughter is heading straight toward a political incident/potential conflict. He will most likely send Kisaka right after us. So probably a free day to find Kira hopefully before Kisaka finds us.

This is a very interesting plan. Not saying that it would work as intended. :V But yeah good thinking.

Please note though there will be an Intrigue roll in your plan for impersonating "friendly political entity" should it be chosen. Also, your current plan will mean the message will only be sent after landing(?) docking at Heliopolis.

And sorry for the confusion. I was unclear on the naming of plans with variation suggested. You may keep the action name this time if you want. For others who want to suggest other plans also involving departing for Heliopolis now, please use plan vote format.

SEED gives everyone a cleaner 'third option' in the form of Orb and I guess Compass which is a better name than Three Ships Alliance. And that answer is to be Celestial Being and run around enforcing peace at gunpoint while preaching a peace/understanding message. As much as I dislike it as a cop out faction I think we should still try to rebuild it. If for nothing else than for one simple unfortunate point...

Three ship alliance being a cop out faction is a really great point. I'm thinking if seed would be much more desperate without it when compared to other timelines. There are genocides after genocides in almost all Gundam timelines.

One thing about CE is that the ideological differences can potentially be somewhat harder to overcome due to genetic differences. There are millions of GM human. It feels like it's easier for people to fall into the trap where there's only two sides based how they're born.

Though I'd wager with the upcoming movie they'll have to build up another global faction as a credible threat, since I really, really doubt they'll make Lacus morally gray despite effectively conquering the world by the end of GSD.

Also I'm very excited for Seed Freedom now. And yeah I don't think they're going to make Lacus the villain side, but still a bit worried about the plot based on the trailer. Sounds like they would be confused and I just want to see a competent Lacus ;_;

Compass was jointly organized by Orb, Atlantic Federation and PLANT under Cagalli and led by Lacus. Kira, Mu La Flaga, Murrue, Shinn and Lunamaria are members of the organization.

I think only those 3 powers existed left.

The last battle GSD last battle was framed to be ZAFT vs Orb in the anime. But from the background I think a lot of the forces on the anti-Destiny plan was the Earth Alliance forces and mutinied ZAFT forces, at least, those remaining after the first hit of Requiem. It also sounded the most logical for Durandal to hit the target with the highest risk first

[x] Convince Uzumi Nara Athha - Investigation: You have no evidence, yet. Convince him to provide resources and personnel for proper investigation. [Cost half-day. Diplomacy DC - 27/29]

The last battle was a "Speak now or forever hold your peace for all remaining coherent military forces able to reach the battlespace. Absolutely EVERYONE's military afterwards was gutted but Lacus barely had to "coup", she was the only option left at that point for PLANT. Also she had Kira, in an intact Strike Freedom, go ahead, show me who was left who could challenge that. (I dislike the Jesus Yamato meme, but i understand where it comes from. I hope we can rectify that in this quest)

Hell, i wouldnt be surprised if realistically, Orb is the last nation on Earth thats not fallen to chaos. Which means Earth IS Orb...

Also who wants to try amd convince Lacus of the supremacy of catgirls amd foxgirls and the CRIMINAL negligence that was having THAT level of genetic, prosthetic and cybernetic technology, and NOT going truly FULL anime to heal all of humanity!

We could have had FULL on macross idol wars in Gundam!

Good we have done a search for the picture with Depart for Heliopolis or would it have been it's own option?

Fun story idea

It would take extra time before flight, and a very very difficult intrigue roll as Cagalli doesn't know where her father put it. It is a tightly kept secret by Uzumi and the Yamatos, and only they personally kept the copies of the photo.

Re: the letters, I thought about the logistics. If you send them after arriving Heliopolis, it takes 2 days to physically delivered to Orb. Based on your intent, I'm assuming the letters will be sent via electronic means with nearly no delays.

If there's another approach you want (sending scheduled mail before departure/the delay is intentional), please write in a new plan.

Securing another G Project Gundam aside Strike would be useful. Either the Aegis or the Blitz that uses the Mirage Colloid System.
The buster would actually be better than the blitz. While the technology is less revolutionary, it's easier to apply to anti seiges tactics to defend Orb if the federation comes knocking, and functions as a better support option to assist Kira in battle at range. The Aegis with it's transformation abilities and main cannon is probably best though.

That's fair. Buster or Aegis would be what Cagalli would go after and take it before Athrun and his teammates hijack them.

She will need Kira's help to improve the OS for Natural use as she's not a Coordinator like her brother.

Hmm... After thinking about it, do we actually want to change the attack against Heliopolis too much? Honestly the archangel's crew that survives is potentially the better parts of EA's forces. Most likely a dice roll on everyone else being normal or dreaming of a blue and pure world.

Rather we need orb to be able to respond. Honestly positioning more Orb forces might not do any good. At least until we've gotten our hands on mobile suits. Worst case scenario it causes enough FUBAR to have Orb break it's neutrality.

I would suspect quite a few of the crew that got killed were Blue Cosmos or had sympathies to the ideology. Maybe not the original Captain, but his XO would make sense...its always the XO. Badgeruel doesnt count!

It is ridiculous that Blue Cosmos is everywhere for a bunch of schmucks controlled by LOGOS. And also that Blue Cosmos acted so cartoonishly evil to the point even Zeon tells them to chill.

And i agree with you 100%. But apparently CE humanity trends lawful evil at best, so...yeah. Seriously, it shows how Seed was written before social media took off. No way BC would have numbers it has now, it would have alienated most because they cant shut up abput their pure amd blue world! Imagine BC on Twitter or facebook.

Yes BC would have more radicals, because thats what social media does, but overall their numbers would be fewer. IMO ofc

And that Blue Cosmos acted like a cult, parroting the same motto repeatedly like a bunch of barely functioning lunatics.

Especially their hypocrisy of hating Coordinators for having better genes and abilities yet made their Biological CPUs (Boosted Men and Extended) that artificially enhanced them to be like Coordinators all but in name.

Seriously, BC is the best PR for coordinators ever! Hey, we hate those guys because they are everything humanity could hope to be! We hate them because we suck! We wanna pulled them down to our level! Because being better ourselves takes too much effort.

Sure the fertility this is an issue, but Kira is the answer to that, im sure. Also by this point the "half-breed" population is surely a sizeable minority, especially in Orb.

Blue Cosmos have ties to the old religions though. And old religions may fade but the blocs of interest they represents can be quite powerful still.

I'm way less optimistic about that. I think there are some form of real world parallels already. Don't want to name anything specific as I don't want to offend anyone. But echo chambers are powerful and terrifying. If (and it a very likely if for a huge state promoting genocide) combined with widely enforced censorship and only state-approved patriotic education, I'd say it very possible to spread hatred among the population. And hatred does not have to be rational. :(
