[X] Play the mid-range game. You'll be under more fire, but you have confidence in your ability to dodge, plus you have two shields.
Amuro wearing a mask that covers the lower half of his face: "I was wrong Char. There are some wrongs in this universe which can only be righted with further atrocities." -drops a colony on Bandai-
This guy is the head case who thinks helping the federation catch his Mobile Suit stealing, Federation deserting newtype friend is going to end in anything other than her dissection now that she's proven unfit to trust with a mobile suit. He isn't going to listen to reason, and having him on hand is going to cause Rita to have a Newtype emotion surge which will make her even harder to defeat. If you reread you'll see his presence provoke her to bursts of newtype power granting emotion on two occasions. We need to get rid of this guy before he triggers a third one. Besides, we have more trustworthy allies enroute.Anyway, the vote of the update is how to deal with Jona in the Narrative C-Packs (or something close to that). Not sure if I'm misreading this on account of him being a protagonist, but I think the diplomatic approach should be the better idea here.
Lol. This girl lives to take the shit out of others and it's really entertaining. Accepting her into the team is the best decision since we found/adopted Sicilia. To your delight, he takes the bait and continues unloading munitions in your direction, eating through his finite stock of missiles. He launches his Fin Funnels too, prompting you to do the same to counter him. The two of you blast at each other at range while Fin Funnels swarm around the area, dueling in pairs.
That's it, Luke, waste your ammunition and energy on 'Katarina'.
As for the rest, it's up to the others to pull their weight.
Okay, when this battle is over, we need to get the team psychoframe cockpits at minimum. Also, love the fed bull sees red byplay here. It's a good bit."It doesn't matter what you are, Londo Bell!" He snaps back, and with a sinking feeling you notice his backpack snap open to reveal shining yellow panels underneath while the telltale glow of Psychoframe pours from around the cockpit "Nobody who clings to the legacy of the Red Comet can defeat the Federation!"
Poor Mort, even his badass giant robot fisticuffs moment is ruined by his yandere stalker. At least he loves being on the team, and is over cybele selling his mobile suit.Yeah. This configuration has no Beam Sabers. You were going to try and be a support unit. That didn't work out. But you can still throw hands.
Your first blow connects solidly, your right arm hitting her cockpit and jarring her. The second swing puts your left Knuckle Guard through her Mega Buster, breaking it in two.
She grabs your head unit with her intact hand, and her voice comes across clearer than ever with the contact link and-is she laughing?
"Oh I knew it, I knew I was right!" She cackles in an absolutely deranged tone, "You're the true Ace of Cascadia Team!"
"Woman, let me say this as politely as I can-!" You yell at this lunatic as you wind up another punch, "Get your crazy ass off of me!"
Wow. More crazy teammates. Lorelei is the sanest person on her former team by a mile. That's scary. No wonder she jumped at the chance to bail the first time she met another Amuro fangirl.Knockoff Full Frontal? Is that what they're calling you?!
"My name is Theo, and my Mobile Suit isn't a knockoff! It's the Sinanju Cascadia!"
"Oh, is that so?" Her MS becomes wreathed in a rainbow of lights as her Psychoframe activates and an otherworldly force pushes you away from her.
"Are we having a Cool Names Party? I can dig that. You already know Luke and his Blue Wolf moniker. Wanna know mine? The other guys in the Corps gave it to me."
The light of her Psychoframe flows into her Beam Bayonets, and the blades grow to twice their size.
"I'm Ensign Acothley. Kinslayer."
You did a hell of a job with this bleachy. It communicates what happens in the flight well while capturing Rita's bird shtick perfectly. My favorite part, even if Mort and Katarina come close.
S is for Sisters who have fun together. P is for Power siblings. A is Aaaahh Jona ruins everything. C is for Can team Sherman read a map? E is for Exterminate which is the only way to handle Jona without Rita flipping out which would not be great. It's kind of fun fighting alongside Big Sis when she has a Mobile Armor too! All this firepower the two of you are pumping downrange is downright exhilarating!
Woo. Reinforcement. Neat. Who needs Jona when we have Joda Ashtray and Loofa and unnamed Ple clone enroute."I'm hitching a ride! Just follow the others!" She replied urgently. The others, who were the others?
The answer immediately presented itself in the form of what looked like a Zeta Gundam variant riding the ZZ Gundam in G-Fortress mode. The odd pair blazed past him at full burn, with tons of those MS from the Jupitris II hot on their heels.
It's his thing Cybele. If there is a terrible decision to be made that keeps Rita from being saved, Jona will make it and convince himself it was the best of two terrible choices, even if he can't tell you what was so bad about the other choices when the battle is over.Scarecrow? Who the fuck is that?! You kick him back and lay down some suppressive fire with your Vulcans. All you know is that he's made a shitty situation worse, and you can feel the rising panic coming from Argama and Alex Teams. Sicilia can only do so much in her one MA!
Amazingly, no one confirmed. Herrera may have failed to escape the Jupiterus II forces, but team Cascadia seems to be occupying the worst of the federations elites, and nothing has apparently happened to the Argama or Alex teams that any of our povs have noticed, with Rita kept occupied by Cybele and Sicilia.
It was always that. This is literally a mission gone tits up scenario. Bleachy gives us missions fresh and easy, and things get a little bit worse every voting stage they don't get picked. This is Rita mission at max difficulty.
We should, ignore them. Instead of playing catch up with missions until we drop balls, we refresh the table. Head off the other missions and hopefully stabilize our situation. It was always that. Of course, Jona is making things worse by taking out the MA that was helping keeping the mobile suit jacking mobile armor and the high pshychoframe mobile suit piloted by loopy newtype out of the fight, but Jona makes everything worse is on the verge of becoming a quest tag at this point.
Next arcs voting phase will have two missions in the critical stage, Ironically with Principality of Zeon and Minerva Republic of Zeon theming, so no matter what we vote on, we will see what a mission bad end looks like in the aftermath.
But for now, at least our first choice setup some high quality reinforcements, even if they are arriving on the late side of the battle. We'll pull through with a bit of elbow grease(go mort), violence, and more teamwork behalf of Cybele and Sicilia.
I'm hoping to take Vogel's Homecoming. We should, ignore them. Instead of playing catch up with missions until we drop balls, we refresh the table. Head off the other missions and hopefully stabilize our situation.
It's the mission to rescue Lorelei's family from where the alliance is holding them on Luna. She did her part this one keeping Luke off Cybele's back, and in Haffaway's Fall, as the one who dragged Cybele off course and let her avoid the scuffle with the republic of neo zeon. Time to uphold our end of the bargain.[][Story Arc] "Vogel's Homecoming" (Mission Status-Low Priority)
Not to mention the fact that he got weird experimentation done to him like Rita and you can count on one hand the number of Cyber Newtypes that don't have their reasoning compromised on one way or have incredibly indoctrinated attachments to others to the extent of ignoring basic common sense.Considering how Scilia who's relatively stable openly talked about murdering another Lorelei because it looked like she wasn't getting enough attention it does make sense for the significantly less stable Jonah to have issues surrounding Rita.Add some Psychoframe into the mix and you've got a disaster in the making.Honestly, the colony destruction may actually not be his fault? Remember that in Narrative his Gundam was equipped with a NTD without him knowing about it and it activated on its own.
No, Rita is the one who blasted the colony with her ship destroying NewType wave, but he is the one who set up the double betrayal that triggered the emotional outburst that powered it. The best intention laying the destruction of millions at the hand of a victim. Regardless, he is going to set Rita off on a murderous frenzy if we team up against her with him, and Lucretia is in the ship with us and may foul negotiations regardless. It's a big gamble to take with lives on the line.Honestly, the colony destruction may actually not be his fault? On the other hand we don't have the time to fight him.If we don't end this then our buddies might get killed by Lorelei's crazy ex coworkers(Mort especially considering his yandere stalker just powered up the Newtype power BS).In addition we really need the firepower and Rita will probably hyperfocus enough on killing Jonah that we can set up a kill shot. No, Rita is the one who blasted the colony with her ship destroying NewType wave, but he is the one who set up the double betrayal that triggered the emotional outburst that powered it. His cyber newtype stuff is a good reason to expect him to not listen to reason, just like he made the poor choice to take out the fiver which could see Rita coming in for killing spree against fed and londo bell both. I trust Cybele's skill in a fight more than I trust Cybele's ability to talk a half crazy cyber newtype fed collaborator down from a fight with a zeon republic fanatic in the cockpit. Not to mention the fact that he got weird experimentation done to him like Rita and you can count on one hand the number of Cyber Newtypes that don't have their reasoning compromised on one way or have incredibly indoctrinated attachments to others to the extent of ignoring basic common sense.Considering how Scilia who's relatively stable openly talked about murdering another Lorelei because it looked like she wasn't getting enough attention it does make sense for the significantly less stable Jonah to have issues surrounding Rita.Add some Psychoframe into the mix and you've got a disaster in the making.
The goal is to take Rita Alive based on the mission brief. We don't know Rita will make it past Sicilia before Reinforcements in the form of another MA and the Jupiterus 2 dessertee mobile suits pilots arrive. If diplomacy fails, we have to fight him anyway and lose more time, and we have to carry it out with a zeon fanatic ple clone as backseat negotiator. Better to just fight him from the get go.On the other hand we don't have the time to fight him.If we don't end this then our buddies might get killed by Lorelei's crazy ex coworkers(Mort especially considering his yandere stalker just powered up the Newtype power BS).In addition we really need the firepower and Rita will probably hyperfocus enough on killing Jonah that we can set up a kill shot.
