[X] Variable Coil Nacelles (Prototype) (Experimental)

Probably unwise, but... Extra impulse engines...

Higher cruise, maximum, and extra impulse?
YOLODYNE IT IS
[X] Variable Coil Nacelles (Prototype) (Experimental)

The advantages here are a lot more compelling than we typically get from a prototype nacelle. That's what convinced me in the end.

Even if it increases the manufacturing cost... we went bleeding-edge on the Ambassador, and that became a solid heavy cruiser for the fleet as the technologies became cheaper to produce. So it might be a more longtermist option.

So higher warp and Impulse speed/Maneuverability if we take them. I mean see my collage of yoyodyne products we have used what is the worst that can happen?

We get some really impressive torpedo designs.

I would rather test it on a class that we have enough coverage from other ships in the same role than on the Sovereign which already has quite a few prototypes and is something we want to perform well and be produced in enough numbers to make an impact in any conflict

Grrrr. Curse you salient reasoning!
[X] Endeavour-type Nacelles. (Prototype)

It isn't like I hate Yoyodyne, but Carol, she I don't like.

No quad nacelles? Shame.

Yeah, I ain't touching Yoyodyne any more than I have to on this ship, we've still got any tactical Prototypes in the Phases and Quantum Torpedoes to worry about. We sure as hell don't need to slap an (Experimental) on this ship two.

I'd like this ship to be a actually produced in some numbers please, give the SDB another Excelsior-style win on something that's not the dinky little ball of murder and not much else called the Ushaan.

I'm still surprised it managed to get a third production run, myself.
