i'm sorry to say, comrade, but that's a horrible trade policy. if we sell any drugs they're going to wash back on our shores, there's nothing we can do to stop it. as well, opioids and meth are a line that we don't really want to cross. extensive exports gets us plenty of trade income without dipping into deleterious substances. we want egypt to be a grain/cattle pinata, not bronze age qing, as funny as the memes are

Not gonna take it obviously, but actually going to the Central Committee and selling them on this is quite the thing to imagine. This is like, beyond realpolitik. Methpolitik.

Pretty happy with Moderate exports as the drug option, but I think we've overlooked some potential consequences to the New Washington deal; specifically how it will look to the CKE. I'm a little concerned that the CKE might decide that the Crete-NW-PRM alliance might be dangerous enough that they start thinking about allying with New Monthan to keep New Washington contained.

New Monthan is a zealously American Dominion Theology nation that enslaves any Downtimers in its territory and treats non-military Americans not much better. The CKE and Vanguard Christianity is like, Warhammer 40,000 Imperium level Heresy to them.

the alliance is also pretty obviously in response to new monthan fucking plowing through the people north of them, i don't think the cke's going to think that new washington's engendered enough goodwill with us and crete for us to fight for them

Extensive exports are the way to go IMO, since we got a nat 100 that makes it politically popular we should absolutely do our best to maximize trade income. Every single bushel of grain that we can get from the Egyptians is one more worker we can loot from the countryside for crash industrialization. Becoming the meth and fentanyl barons of the Mediterranean is definitely too far, if only because it will backfire onto our own population when it inevitably leaks out into domestic markets.

But 2C-X research chemicals and MDMA still aren't going to kill anybody unless they take obscene amounts, and getting the peasants rolling face in their off hours is still better than alcoholism tbh. If we're willing to make vodka, that's already the most destructive substance we could possibly export short of meth/fentanyl, so I don't think there's any particular moral line being crossed with Extensive Exports.

And if it feeds the industrialization machine then we absolutely should not leave the money on the table for New Washington or Rhodes to pick up, and our PS is in danger of getting too high so the extra 5 points of PS for Moderate Exports is kinda worthless compared to the extra trade income from Extensive Exports that can fund more machine shops and steel mills.
