Round 10 Start - Game of Chicken
This is a Quest.

That is perhaps the one thing that can be definitively said about it - of all the Quests that could be played, this is definitely one of them.

In good news, the weather has mellowed out and outright direct conflict between Quest and Naysayers has been averted, at least for now. Also, Quest progress at least on paper appears to be picking up momentum.

In bad news, current peace with the Naysayers was achieved through multiple concessions and the Council is a bit of a wreck trying to pull itself together.

In neutral news, a group of four Naysayers show up on your doorstep. Two you recognize, the leader and the woman with the build both muscular and curvy. Two are new, one that looks like he has seen somethings, man and a guy who somehow you can't tell if he's remarkably healthy or on the verge of starving to death.

"We're here to collect the Chicken you agreed to get us." The woman said.

You again feel as though the world places a sudden emphasis on her eyes.

"I want that chicken."

Even before anyone can bring up any questions about why they're here now or why they just showed up on your doorstep unannounced, the leader speaks up.

"Don't look at us like that. We told you we'd be back the last time we left."

So add that to the 'bad news' - Naysayers right outside that are insistent about guaranteeing you get them a chicken.

Someone should probably do something about that.

@thatguy99998 , you get the feeling there is a task you should do on behalf of Reality.

You know that nebulous Project about 'Manifesting Edge' that's nearby that gives everyone a bad vibe to anyone who goes near it unless they're an edgelord? Your bad vibes are off the chart simply by both you and it existing at the same time. You can't escape the idea that Reality would really like to see that thing go away.

Are you a disappointed enough minion to make that Manifestation of Edge that hasn't actually happened yet stop existing?

If @thatguy99998 complies, you will gain both unlimited advantage to your roll and will get double dice for your roll - meaning you'll roll 2dX instead of 1dX and you'll continue to get advantages on your rolls for the action for as long as the action keeps rolling rather than just the first roll.

Signup Votes (Which half of this quest do you want to be a part of?):

Those who Sign up as 'Council' usually get two votes below; Including 1 [Council] Vote and 1 [Riot Boost] Vote.

[ ][Signup] Rioter
-[ ] Password?
-[ ] Nifty Identifying Quest Name, quippy phrase, or brief distinguishing feature for flavor purposes (Keep it short!) (Optional)

Those who Sign up as 'Rioter' get a single vote below; They can vote for 1 [Riot!] action.

Council Votes (What does the Council want to do this turn?):
- Council may choose One (1) Council Vote; Majority Wins
- Due to @Ergosum having been struck by lightning, if the winning Round 10 vote result that shows Ergosum as the first person voting for it, the winning option will be ignored in favor of the runner-up.
- Due to a combined Rioter-Naysayer Beatdown, members of the Council may only vote for options listed below for Round 10, no write-ins allowed.

[ ] Make or Change Rule
-[ ] "Allow for role changes, in exchange for the loss of a round of action, rioters and concil members can now switch thier roles" (Grant Rioters and Council Members means to change their role in the Quest)
-[ ] Establish Council Action Vote (After a beatdown like that, perhaps it's time for the Council to learn to get their own hands dirty; will enable Council to make group decision to take Riot!-type actions)
-[ ] Disband the Council (While the Council has been fun - and extremely entertaining - declare it to be a failed experiment and convert the quest to fit a more standard RIOT style. This will result in the Quest undergoing a retool and relaunch with a new thread that preserves as much current progress as possible while adjusting the rules and system to fit the change from Council-Riot Hybrid to Riot only.)

[ ] Implement Policy
-[ ] "Popular uprisings should always be opposed by a army of loyalists to the council to be an official rebellion. The Council reserves the right to conscript any player to the loyalist army up to the number of dissidents try need to quash. The Council will reserve the right to beat up, fine or send strongly worded letters to anyone not not fulfilling their duties." (The Council shall not be defied! If it needs loyal Rioters to do its bidding to stomp down on rebellious Rioters, it shall do so!)
-[ ] "Rioters can veto wars if a majority vote against them," (Surrender Power in the name of Checks and Balances.)
-[ ] Make official the terms of the deal made with the Naysayers (Currently, the deal made with the Naysayers for peace is on the honor system; this would make it enforced by the rules)
-[ ] Declare War on the Naysayers (The Naysayers crossed a line, and they're getting too friendly with the Rioters. You take that personally.)

[ ] Projects
-[ ] "Start Project Tool Creation" (Begin an undefined project for creating tools)
-[ ] "see if we can get more entities representing concepts to interact with us or if the only one is reality." (There's been so much entertainment had with Reality, try to add to the fun!)

[ ] Actions
-[ ] "Put together a scouting party for chickens" (Naysayers want Chicken. Contribute to making sure this happens.)
-[ ] "see if we can get more entities representing concepts to interact with us or if the only one is reality." (There's been so much entertainment had with Reality, try to add to the fun!)
-[ ] "Create a basic Bow, afterwards, mass produce it for the rest of the Rioters" (Somehow get your hands dirty to try to 'create a basic Bow', Rioter style(?))

[ ] Establish Win Condition (What is the actual Victory Condition this Quest is trying to accomplish?)
-[ ] Vanquish the Naysayers (The Quest is won when the Naysayers are no longer a threat.)
-[ ] Naysayer Diplomatic Victory (The Quest is won when the Naysayers are no longer Naysayers but true friends and allies - note that this means that anything else, including the Naysayers ceasing to be, will result in losing the Quest)
-[ ] Domination Victory (The Quest is won when all threats to the Quest have been overcome and there exist no more real challenges to achieve other than 'get more good')
-[ ] Ship Victory (The Quest is won when you have the means to build a flying ship - be it by magic, technology, or some mix of both - that allows you to depart these lands and travel to other worlds - or perhaps other quests.)
-[ ] Victory - Rioter Choice (The Rioters will get a special vote where they decide what the Quest Victory Condition should be)

[ ] Misc.
-[ ] "Bad brain effects fix faster." (As this reads a bit like it was written under the condition of a bad brain effect I'll mostly figure it out if it actually passes.)

You know the drill - Will stay open about a week with Last Call before closing.

[X][Riot!] Work on Project
-[X] Longhouse
--[X] Third times the charm - try and craft tools for the Longhouse project, or at the very least try and make progress towards making crafting easier.

I can't roll a 1 three times in a row, right?

[X][Riot!] Address Problem
-[X] Naysayers Want Chicken (How?)
--[X] Reality has denied being a chicken, therefore chickens are not par of reality. Thus it logically follows that I must dive into the realms of fantasy to find chickens.

[X] Make or Change Rule
-[X] "Allow for role changes, in exchange for the loss of a round of action, rioters and concil members can now switch thier roles" (Grant Rioters and Council Members means to change their role in the Quest)

Get me off this council so I can make a hoe!

[X][Riot!] Address Problem
-[X] Naysayers Want Chicken (How?)
--[X] Wild chickens sleep in trees, right? Search the forests for poultry. We won't need to tame it if we're just planning to give it to the Naysayers as an offering, so a wild chicken should do... and if I can't find or catch any birds I can at least get a few more sticks on my way back, right?

[X] Make or Change Rule
-[X] "Allow for role changes, in exchange for the loss of a round of action, rioters and concil members can now switch thier roles" (Grant Rioters and Council Members means to change their role in the Quest)

Yeah, I desire INDUSTRY.

[X][Riot!] Work on Project: Manifest Edge. Sharpen my claws and teeth and malices against a tree.

[X][Riot!] Assist in the collection and delivery to Naysayers of a chicken.

I don't want this peace to immediately fall apart, so I'm helping.

[X] Make or Change Rule
-[X] "Allow for role changes, in exchange for the loss of a round of action, rioters and concil members can now switch thier roles" (Grant Rioters and Council Members means to change their role in the Quest)

[X][Riot!] Crafting
-[X] Primitive Axe
--[X] attach a sharp stone to the end of a stick using vines or maybe strong grass.

@Half Moon , I have a proposition for you. If you stop trying to manifest "edge", I'll use my action to do most* anything you please. This action is undeniably better then yours due to it getting unlimited advantage and it doesn't even stop you from using your action.

As for Why you should stop? Have you even gotten anything out of it? You could have edge by now if you banged two rocks together until one is sharp. Work with me. You can be more then just edgy.

*the action must be somthing not completly stupid that would piss reality off, and your action has to be somthing that doesnt put you further on the bad side of reality.

Also, @Space Jawa have I not done the two turns worth of labor that I promised reality? Or is this a Darth Vader talking to Hondo situation

Edit: here, how about instead of trying to make yourself more of a monster. I help you in shall we say... finding edge.

Creating more teeth and sharp edges seems beyond you. But can you absorb the teeth of animals? Hell, we can check around the council area and see if there are any Human teeth if that's what you need instead!

-[X] Missing Sod (If the Naysayers weren't behind the missing sod, then someone or something else must be. I will muster all of my shenanigans and spy on the sod 24/7 until the cause of the disappearance is found.)

Oh, maybe. But reality would not hate me for it if I weren't on to something.
Thus do I offer to all who are interested: help me and share in the spoils.

[X][Riot!] Work on Project
-[X] Quest Lab
--[X] Now that the Naysayer threat has been... mollified, best to get back to building up the Quest Lab.

[X][Riot!] Work on Project
-[X] Other (What?): Magic, i have sticks for a fire, ihave water I have the air a piece of ground, now time to put all together with a drop of blood and start bringing magic to the world.

I was thinking of escorting one (or all) of the Naysayers to our hunting group, but they probably won't want to help.

I'm so interested in this last one, not only does it sound fun but it also seems like we could get some use out of that quest lab in construction.
