Ah, that would make sense, my mistake.

Unfortunately we're still at Starving on Day 44, and having used all our Nat 20s, there's not much chance of being able to forage enough to prevent ourselves from dying.

This was asked on the last page, and no, we can't.
The vote tally program has a problem where it sometimes merges lines of a vote that are the same string as another line in the vote. For this reason it is advised to make every line of the vote unique in some manner. Adding x2 to the end of a vote is a shorthand to say "this is the second time this line appears" so the vote tally does not eat it.

Otherwise it is easy for the second "use nat 20" vote line to simply be erased and for the QM to miss that this happened.

[] Thing
[] Thing

becomes

[]Thing

When the vote tally is shown. To get it to show right you need to do something like

[] Thing
[] Thing x2
- [] Stuff
- [] Stuff x2

You didn't roll for the events on day 44, Tam.

Day 42-44: A brief respite
For now, you decide that you don't want to summon more cultivating predators. You absorb the remains of the Ladybug into the hollow space within your gut, the Qi within circulating the remains through your meridians.

Absorbing the Ladybug this way also causes the Ladybug's poisonous Qi to surge within you. It's potent, but nothing you can't handle at your current level of Cultivation. However, it might be prudent to start purging your body of the poison, as you're approaching the point where your body's normal circulation will cause the Poison Qi to become more potent.

You have 1 > 4 Poison Qi flowing through your Meridians
Initial 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 32/60 > 92/60 > Early 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 32/70

With the Ladybug gone, you focus your efforts on removing the collapsed debris in your lair. Using special enzymes produced by worker ants, you successfully repair your nest, such that it no longer lets in the scorching heat of the day nor the freezing cold of the night.

Fix the Collapsed Area 0/?? > 20/20

You are wounded and will consume .1 more food per turn. You have 60/70 HP and will recover 7 HP per turn REGARDLESS of your hunger level.
Your Fungus Farms produced 1 food, bringing your total to 1.9 food. Your Fungus Farm will produce food again in 5 turns.
You consume 1.1 food, bringing your total to .8 food.
You have gone 3 days without Churning your Qi. if you go 4 days without Churning your Qi, it will disperse and set you back to the Early 1st Realm of Qi Gathering.
You have 4 Poison Energy coursing through your Meridians

With your shelter in proper order, you move back to the surface in order to cultivate. Cultivating in open space is a risk at the best of times, but you find that you don't have a choice as the toxins expelled from your body is making it impossible for you to cultivate within your lair.

You're luckily left alone by the predators. The Poison Qi within you is warding off predators slightly. It almost seems like a shame, at this point. Most ants' natural predators are child's play for you to dispatch at your current cultivation level.

It wouldn't do to be hubristic about it though, lest the heavens decide to strike you down.

Early 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 32/70 > 48/70

You are wounded and will consume .1 more food per turn. You have 67/70 HP and will recover 7 HP per turn REGARDLESS of your hunger level.
You have 1 Fungus Farm, which will produce 1 food in 4 turns.
You attempt to consume 1.1 food, but only have .8 food. Because you do not have enough food, your hunger level remains Normal.
You have 4 Poison Energy coursing within your Meridians.

Your larder is empty and you won't receive any more food from your farm until it's ready, so you decide to spend the day digging around for food.

You're lucky that you found a fragment of a seed roughly twice your size, which should be enough to feed you for two whole days.

The seed is dense and heavy, coursing with potent Wood Energy. However, being a mere fragment means that you won't actually get any cultivation benefits from consuming it. Still, its heaviness requires you to use Qi Burst, locking you out of the technique for another 9 days, pretty much soon after you'd gathered enough energy to use it again.

Try to salvage food from the ruined colony 1/10 > 24/10 > 4/10
2 Food has been added to your inventory, bringing your total to 2 food.

You are no longer wounded.
You have 1 Fungus Farm, which will produce 1 food in 3 turns.
You consume 1 food, bringing your total to 1 food.
You have gone 1 day without churning your Qi.If you go 4 days without churning your Qi, it will disperse and set you back to the Early 1st Realm of Qi Gathering.
You have 4 Poison Energy coursing through your Meridians

Select 3 actions to be taken over the next 3 turns

[] Try to salvage food from the ruined colony (4/10)
[] Try to expand your meager shelter (10/40)
[] Work towards expanding your fungus farm. (5/40)
[] Try to get a feel for the mysterious energy surging within you (Early 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 48/70)(You cannot cultivate in your lair without first getting rid of the black tarry substance)
[] Cultivate outside your lair (Small chance of summoning a predator)
[] Purge the Poison Qi (0/?)
[] Cultivate the Poison Qi (0/??, costs 10 Cultivation XP per attempt)
[]Seek out Qi Vein (0/???)
[] Deposit the black tarry substance just outside your lair (0/??)
[] Deposit the black tarry substance far from your lair (0/??)(Medium chance of encountering ??? Level predator. Predator encountered will fight to the death)
[] Train the (QiBlood) technique, Qi Burst (Initiate 0/???)
[] Train the (Lightness) technique, Beetle Charge. (Initiate 0/???)
[] Try to integrate into a new colony (0/??)
[] Take over another colony (0/???)

Predators are not a bad thing, even if they get a cheap shot off on us. We have the HP to absorb basically any cheap shot and predators are just lootboxes waiting to be cashed in.
I agree in general, but we want to space them out enough to avoid a death spiral. Attracting one while still injured and it gets a free shot, then another free shot every time we have to cultivate will add up quickly.

Ok, so cultivating the poison QI no longer has the "Are you suicidal?" tag. That means I suspect we can actually pull it off now. Poison would be a potentially really good element to use.

Still, things to do to avoid death spiral.
[X] Plan - Work work!
- [X] Deposit the black tarry substance just outside your lair (0/??)

We won't starve as the food counter will reset in 3 days and we have 1 day of food. We should clear out the gunk ASAP. If we clear out the gunk early and invalidate the second action or fail to clear the gunk by turn 3 it should trigger a plan end and we get to reassign the actions.

I think the general plan should be to clear out the gunk then work on the farm so we hit food stability where we won't ever fully starve unless something goes wrong. Then we should ether integrate or purge the poison QI.
