I'd like to point out that my plan outright ensures that we have not only access to the Segmentum solar in case of trouble, but that the presence of ALL THREE navigator houses and our location on the branches will ensure that we become a trade HUB for not only the sector but the Imperium in general.
This also means that if something happens, local and imperial reinforcements can arrive much quicker than the leaves option, albeit not as quickly as the trunk option. This makes a difference in my mind.
