[X] Plan suffer not the Xenos
I won't lie, the relatively slow government and plethora of threats is a bit concerning. However, I think it's fairly well compensated for. There's a lot of groups willing and able to act significantly more quickly than the Sector government in this Sector. You've got the Admech (along with their Titans!), the Sororitas, the Astartes Chapter, the Deathwatch, and the Ordos Xenos Conclave.

Now, it's quite possible that a threat too great for these forces to fight arrives. This is 40k after all. However, the aforementioned independent forces, Steel Line, Fortress Worlds, and Elite Guardsmen help ensure that the Sector will have the time needed to get reinforcements going. All the valuable resources of the Sector along with the lack of an old rebellion means that the Imperium will likely send no small amount of aid as well.

The use of both Squats and the more negative Votann options also gave me some pause. However, unlike Argenten, I think the more democratic government helps counteract that fairly well. It's not just that a more democratic government will give us more room to maneuver politically.

The Sector government will be more capable with regards to economic matters. As such, they should be far less likely to support pogroms that will cripple their economic output, which helps protect both the Squats and the Beastmen. Sure, a major Tau-supported rebellion could do some serious damage, but that's what all the Inquisitors, Ordo Xenos and otherwise, are there to stop.

My only other complaint is that of the name. The O Prospero Sector just doesn't sound right to my ears. Any way we can change it? It's not a deal breaker obviously, especially since the plans are similar enough to use some of Argenten's excellent worldbuilding, but I'd like to have a more appealing name.

Hey hey people rerv here to advertise to you my plan .

Storm of faith refers to both the primarch and the emperor before being here which mean the ecclesiarchy, the sisters of battle, and the inquisition having a strong presence in the sector so i didn't see the need for deathwatch or the inquisitorial fortresses
(And the populace will be pious so that's a plus in my book)

Tsunami of steel pretty much mean there is just such an abundance of manpower and material to throw at the enemy. who needs space marines when you can flatten any opposition with tanks, planes, shells, titans, and knights blasting the enemy to dust with experience and martial tradition to back it up.besides we do get Sisters of battle as replacement for the marines as a special unit along with the inquisition.

Maelstrom of blood i pick this name on purpose because a majority of the enemy is external with what i hope minimal hostilities from the internal like that rogue trader which i hope will be countered by various factions that have their own interest via the democratic rule.

As for the enemies i pick those that are pretty much ones we could engage on our terms like the xeno which is a stalemate, the orks are a threat sure but they can be culled since it's a remnant not a full blown empire, the mutant active front are already being engaged , the craftworld and the demiurge are fleet based but aren't enough to be a major threat on it's own to the sector with diffrerent priorities for each.

With democratic rule sure they act slow but we have such a population, material, and industrial advantage its not even funny combined with the calm warp, navigator houses , fortress worlds, civilian shipbuilding industry, steel line, punching above the sectors weight in economics, and other factors make this a very wealthy sector, great industry, very good military that is experienced with the ongoing active front and other threat that we can send our psykers to gain experience and lower chance of a revolt happening.

Huh you know i just realize i made this plan with an outlook of the sector not as a payker but i'd say we can build up our fief to able to buy technology and exotic material anyway what with the sector being very wealthy and advanced technologically with trade with other sectors.

Well that's it for my advertising folks this is just my thoughts and opinions on the matter and sorry if i made a mistake writing this on the bus right now and english is not my native language.

Edit:And by engaging the enemy on our term i mean we can come to them for the active front since they're not going anywhere

Yeah, the name is something I'd also prefer to change. I can always just propose a plan that's exactly the same with a different name if people want it. Unless @Andmeuths does it himself?

You're also assuming that imperial factionalism isnt going to add to the problem, especially when the sector lord has to play nice with the committees. Yeah they aren't going to be incompetent all at once...but if you have factionalism + lack of effective and coordinated leadership + several fires to put out + unreliable and constantly raided transport...you have a situation ripe for priority and juristiction squabbles the imperium is known for.

as for you @Hunter531 this is why i stopped adjusting my plan per your complaints. Not only did any changes i make not matter but you voted for a plan that makes those same errors and essentially make excuses.

Not only is it a plan with greater risk of jealous factions arising if mc succeeds as you claimed mine would have but you think those factions having more free reign will be less likely to cause trouble for the squats and not lead to disasters.

It really undermines your complaints.

Why does every leading plan have DAoT? How does it help in creating and running a psyker school?
More old school psy tech foe example

Can we all please calm down? No one's being convinced here, so I think it's best y'all let the argument go. People will vote how they want to vote. Simple as.

I am loving this vote, and am in no hurry to finish the vote. Please take as much time as you need in order to design the sector you people want, and ask me whatever questions you have.

I am skeptical about democracy working in wh40k. The lack of strong leadership and factionalism is one the greatest reasons for the decline of the empire. The recovery of the imperium during Era Indomitus is only possible due to Robutte Guillaman's leadership.

That's your choice, we are still left with the issue that yes, the threat of the 'democracy' option is that we essentially have the sector lord being advised by committee and in suffer not you got those committees not only rife with factionalism, but also regionalism and each with their own fires, needs and threats to deal with but a trade and transport situation that is just this side of a constant hassle of orkish, human, eldar and other pirate raids.

The abhumans are infiltrated and can lead to it not total shutdowns, then at least massive blockages that can cause major damage combined with a civilian government that not be able to deal with said blockages quickly as they will still rely on the same threatened transportation to get all the nice military assets to the various fires.

You got squats that the sector depends on but have at least 2 major groups of the Administratum actively trying to, if not purge them, then give them enough grief that there is a legitimate risk of of intercene fighting...with a group that can eat PLANETS...

I am skeptical about democracy working in wh40k. The lack of strong leadership and factionalism is one the greatest reasons for the decline of the empire. The recovery of the imperium during Era Indomitus is only possible due to Robutte Guillaman's leadership.
And it's not even a democracy, it is at best a faction ridden oligarchy council of advisors that will be pushing the local autocrat to give them priority and favor.

The big threat of the outright autocrat is that it depends on the autocrat...the 'democracy' option is just making the risk of disunity and disorganization and more odds of trying to shaft each other. People are assuming way too much about how well the 'democracy' option will go and assuming too much about how easily the threats, especially the underhanded ones, can be dealt with.

The sector government is not fully democratic, mind.

"Three millennia ago, the Sector Governor brought together an assembly of merchants, intellectuals, priests, and representatives from all the major planets. Their assistance in organising the sector economy has led to a sector economy that punches far above its weight.

This Sector Parliament is largely an advisory body, but it reserves the rights to veto military appointments and can even impeach the Governor, although this has only happened to the man who followed up the founder of the assembly. He was promptly convicted of treason and shot.
The sector government is slower, but there's less chance of revolt, and it is unusually well informed and capable on economic matters."

What this means is that the Sector Parliament is an advisory body for the autocratic sector governor. Said council exists to ensure that the autocrat can always hear the newest and most relevant information from the power blocs in the sector. It also means that if the Sector Governor is wise, they can subordinate power and transfer it to people who actually know what they are doing. Where a purely autocratic governor might not know how to improve the shipping industry, the one with a parliament can with the snap of his fingers, immediately hear what the merchants, admech, shipbuilders, etc all have to say about the problem at hand.

There is a lot of potential for negatives with this option, it can go absolutely wrong, incredibly so.
But it also has a much higher peak than the purely autocratic governor.

Fantasia,Odium and Malifica are the three I've come up with so far. All latin derived, as they should be! :V

Fantasia it is. For reasons, first of all the fantastical and seemingly endless mineral wealth of the sector.... and secondly, due to the possible nature of the Xeno horrors that the Emperor had to shatter and quarantine during the Great Crusade.

which is why i chose it for my plan, overall, with the exception of the abhuman population, you basically got a sector sieged and besieging. a sector where the threats are identifyable and focused, so you want a leader that can direct the forces at hand to ensure that the enemy at the gate is kept out of the gate.

Why does every leading plan have DAoT? How does it help in creating and running a psyker school?
Personally I'm less excited about the possibility of newly discovered technology. I'm in it for the high population numbers and relative availability of FTL travel, as it allows us to expand our recruiting pool beyond our planet relatively easily.

I won't deny that this plan has problems. Like you said earlier in this discussion, all of these plans do. While I appreciate your willingness to change your plan, I just think the additional positives of Xenos versus yours are worth the added concerns. It's a matter of opinion.

Feel a bit late to the vote, but Knights are Knights.
Worry not! For Plan Free Market also has Knights that are blinged out from how much money we'll get in the sector of Hanzamuse!

Dude, Mayto said you can't double up on the Orkz. It's either the Greenskin Presence or the Orkoid Empire.

doesn't change the fact that you made demands of me and my plan and then showed those demands and concerns weren't actually important enough to stick to your guns on when you vote for a plan that still has them as a factor. I will not be taking your feedback into consideration in the future as you cannot be trusted.
