The biggest advantage for Sanctioned Psykers is their access to implants.

Every time that Kai notices his implant heating, the cooling vents spitting boiling coolant, or sparks erupting from the implant?

That would be a deadly event for pretty much any psyker without implants. Just a nice big pop and their brain bursting from containing too much Psychic power within their brain's tissues.

Simply because the "phenomena and manifestations of the Warp" have a very different nature. If, due to a small leak during a tense cast, gravity suddenly becomes 5 times stronger or suddenly everyone around starts sweating blood and getting cuts from the wind, I want to have the most durable character to counteract this.

Regarding the Pariahs. If one of the Inquisitors can pass the Ordo, which is literally busy checking the use of Assassins and sends a Culexus against us, we are narratively dead and a miracle will save us. This is not even the level of just powerful Warp deniers, the Culexus are cybernetically and medically enhanced in this direction, literally being a thing that kills with a glance. And the stronger the psyker they concentrated against, the bigger the explosion.

Oh, yes, they are also capable of punching us with such force as to tear the soul. They don't carry weapons because their body is a weapon.

In order of preference. Honestly,given that we are a Beta level and have an item that makes us even more powerful, but does nothing for our safety, and that we are going to spend most of our time in the forceeable future around rookie psykers, I consider not picking psychic wards to be extremly risky, bordering on suicidal.

improving our physical health and mental defenses are critical, especially considering the added attention our power and psi-focus draw

Commissars who don't learn quickly don't stay commissars for long. If a Commissar starts shooting telepaths for post-battle headaches, the Telepathica will ruin their career.

The radical part is him outright not considering Psykers to be humans.

Yeah, that's the thing. What our unlamented boss got was likely the nice outcome.

Odds are commissars who start doing that shit get themselves reassigned to the local Catachan regiment, or some other place where there's no psykers. Because if not, they also start getting all their messages downgraded in priority. Or the Commissar "mysteriously" goes insane one day.

People are majorly sleeping on the sister of silence, these arent just any blank, its some of the most powerful blanks there is, if we can stand them. We can take blanks in for our pyskana. We can train them, and use them. Wether that be creating a new form of black sentinels. Or having... verified inquisitors be allowed access to them.
 
Ohhh there is a timer now, barbarian wizard is in the lead let's see if body and Mind can retake it. 3 and half hours to go.
