The Malleus lore is probably the hardest thing we could get. That shit is normally locked TIGHT. It's also lore on daemons, which are our toughest enemy, and that knowledge will certainly help save our students lives if they ever encounter one. Besides, it's also the coolest one, hands down.
For Joe Schmoe the lore is locked down tighter than Fort Knox. It's a whole lot easier to obtain if you're a high ranking member of the Scholastica Psykana with a demonstrable need to know. It definitely helps that the Ordo Malleus has a practically unlimited need for psykers we can use as leverage.

Now we could use said leverage to obtain forbidden tomes or tutoring from a scholar of forbidden knowledge, but I would prefer to obtain a Malleus veteran psyker as a member of the faculty. That way we get more people to train our students and get to benefit from the knowledge at the same time. If we go that route we might even be able to obtain Sanctic Daemonology, which sufficiently restricted knowledge that I don't think we'd obtain it without being a Malleus field agent. Something similar would work for gaining the knowledge. We just favor trade until we can add a Hereticus psyker specialized in witch hunting to the faculty.

Also, I will fight you on adding forbidden daemonic lore to the general curriculum. That will just bring the wrong sort of attention to our students, and I don't just mean from the Imperium. Daemons tend to be attracted to those who know their secrets. I'd accept it for students already destined for the Inquisition, but that's it.

Question @Mayto

In regards to us working with the guard...will our students saying they trained under us *matter*? I can see it helping MC when interacting himself but other than giving our students an idea of how the wider guard works im not sure itll affect too much.

Id be happy to be wrong but i dont want to assume either way.

And to frame it in context before someone throws a hissy over me 'dismissing the option I don't like'.

I'm seeing this as the equiv of a staff officer fresh mint basically saying they've served under...let's go with cain, to someone that hasn't actually served with Cain.

Yeah you'll be impressed by the name but...this minty *ISN'*T that name, they're just someone trained by them. So without having met them personally or having a personal connection, I can't see it actually making that much of an impact other than giving psykers more pressure to match our record, or making them look like they're riding on our name. Neither of which is a good thing.

That being said, being able to give our students accurate mind lessons of life in the guard and working with them, the good, the bad, and the HOLY SHIT WHY?! will be helpful I have no doubt...just like being able to handle enemy psykers or how to handle daemons better. all options are good ones, I just want to clarify that point before things go on.
Them saying they studied under you will only mean something to those who actually know about you.
Hey @Mayto , does the imperial guard pick actually improve our battle Psyker abilities? Or is it just the reputation?
None of the options improve your general combat skill further.

A sector PDF regiment is 3000 men? That's, tiny.

Their attitude is Professional: The Black Sentinels are confident about the state of the fortress and are therefore less prone to stab first and ask questions later regarding matters like Psykers sneaking out of their rooms after dark or other juvenile antics.
The greater our fortress, and the less incidents, the less kids get ganked for being curious, folks. We can allow them more time to be a kid the greater our understanding of and ability to handle psykers.

20 Suppression: Newly arrived Psykers that have not gotten their powers under control are liable to go insane or cause warp incursions. When the first possessions or psychotic episodes occur, the Black Sentinels put them down with brutal force.
Does Hereticus help with Suppression @Mayto ? Alternatively, would our knowledge of handling them be passed among trustworthy subordinates/staff?

Being experienced with the guard and passing on that knowledge is still very valuable.

But they can't just use the fact you taught them and expect it to get them everywhere.
Exactly what I said :p
at best it'd get them a 'thats nice, now get to work' at worst they'd get scut work or hazing for trying to pull contacts.
