That's true that MC is like a dangerous live weapon to those people, so he need to be taken care accordingly too! The next Commisar wouldn't be any different if more discreet. So let it be the lesson for the cadet.

Skills to find and subdue psykers is especially valuable, when training young ones. Less fatal incidents and runaways can be found more easily, also no demon summoning inside the school!

By the way, the desperation shown by the rebels in this opening is pretty grim and dark. Just going full suicide bombers and car bombs. You know when all hope is lost when it gets that bad.

And with them having to seek powers from the Dark Gods and earning the ire of 2 ordos +11 years of fighting from the Imperial Guard their fates are sealed. Most of the population will die or be used as forced labor.

Kai: Aaaaaaand my sympathy is gone. I have to live my entire life trying to not let the voices get to me and these guys go for Chaos? Yeah, desperate measures and all, but fuck that.
 
Fight smarter not harder when it comes to psychic powers. Why try and shove a several thousand ton mecha over when you can crush enough important parts in one leg.

In regards to us working with the guard...will our students saying they trained under us *matter*? I can see it helping MC when interacting himself but other than giving our students an idea of how the wider guard works im not sure itll affect too much.

Id be happy to be wrong but i dont want to assume either way.

And to frame it in context before someone throws a hissy over me 'dismissing the option I don't like'.

I'm seeing this as the equiv of a staff officer fresh mint basically saying they've served under...let's go with cain, to someone that hasn't actually served with Cain.

Yeah you'll be impressed by the name but...this minty *ISN'*T that name, they're just someone trained by them. So without having met them personally or having a personal connection, I can't see it actually making that much of an impact other than giving psykers more pressure to match our record, or making them look like they're riding on our name. Neither of which is a good thing.

That being said, being able to give our students accurate mind lessons of life in the guard and working with them, the good, the bad, and the HOLY SHIT WHY?! will be helpful I have no doubt...just like being able to handle enemy psykers or how to handle daemons better. all options are good ones, I just want to clarify that point before things go on.

The Malleus lore is probably the hardest thing we could get. That shit is normally locked TIGHT. It's also lore on daemons, which are our toughest enemy, and that knowledge will certainly help save our students lives if they ever encounter one. Besides, it's also the coolest one, hands down.

it's not only about the battle experience that fighting with the Imperial guards give us but also the status of being a hero of the Imperium, A Psyker on a motivational poster is rare. it will boost kai's prestige and give him an advantage in the diplomatic game.

Is the battle experience and the fame better than getting more experience with Psykers or Deamons and closer relations with an ordo. I am not so sure but that is another advantage that battle with the IG gives.
