I'm on the Sherman train. She's got the best qualifications for all the locks and dams we're building by far, and presumably we have enough vetting that she won't deliberately cause a dam collapse to own the reds or something.
Indeed, it's very alarming how wide a web the Nazi pirates of Rhodes are weaving. Yet that same web will make ending slavery a pain- it's something that could well escalate to occupying the entire boot of Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean coast. In the short term, we'll need to be content with having our ironclads sink their navy while we spread the revolution to the rest of the Aegean and Anatolian coast. This omake makes me really want to focus on ending slavery once and for all. John Brown's body is yet to exist but his soul goes marching on!
Well, at least that will mean a little less frequent maintenance and that it will last for a long time (though monuments we'd like to last will probably be few compared to minimalist quads thrown up on short notice). Building stuff from concrete but without rebar is something of a lost art, the rediscovery will be interesting. At least it will wean the few surviving civil engineers off of their rebar addiction. Seriously guy you don't need to put rebar in sidewalks, it's not like concrete has the consistency of rotten wood without it!This promises to vastly reduce the labor required for many construction projects, and while the lack of rebar hurts, it can still be worked around for the time being.
