Meetings of A Scholory... and Deadly Pursuit
[X]You ride with Alexander and Ptolemy as you look for Books and Scrolls: Ptolemy has roped Alexander into looking for scrolls from the city's elders, many of them works that may be lost forever
You look at the horses of your brother and companion and wonder just how much they intend to dally. "Why are we stopping, the next village isn't for another league. We are wasting daylight."
Ptolemy was squatting by a tree, looking at its broken and hollowed-out inside as he looked it. "They said it was hiding in a tree, the scrolls they hid, we must keep looking at every turn." He stated as he looked away towards Alexander, who was trying his best to hold his companion up.
"Ptlomey as your prince, please hurry, my arms are getting tired." Alexander struggled to say as he looked up to his companion, who was standing on his shoulders. He tried his best to keep his friend balanced, but his entire body was shaking and he looked ready to fall over from a stiff breeze.
"I have something!" Ptolemy shouted as he reached just a little further into the hollow tree and then there was a great crack. And then Alexander shuddered, his arms giving way and both fell. "AH!"
Both boys screamed as they tumbled to the ground, taking a piece of the tree with them as Ptolemy rolled, while Alexander was where he lay, flat on his back, as you moved closer, trying your best to not laugh. "I warned you."
"Well, then, guess what, there was something in there." Ptolemy proclaimed as he looked at the broken tree in his hand.
Alexander grunted in anger. "Next time you will be holding me!"
"It would have been easier if Neo was the one who was on your shoulders, he's tiny enough to get there without any of the…" He then looked at the scroll. "Hey, look at this."
Alexander and you both traded a glance, before walking towards Ptolemy, who quietly and quickly opened the scroll… it was a map. A crudely drawn and otherwise unremarkable piece of parchment that was stamped with ink and sand…
Yet it was a small map of Thrace. One that you looked at, had a few brief landmarks, with dots with city names next to them.
And in the middle, was a mark… a symbol of gold, and Treasure and scrolls.
You smiled. "Well it may not be a scroll, but it is… something useful." You looked at the map closer and pointed to it, and looked at several of the small markings on it. "We just passed that."

Then you heard a scream and all three of you looked around before you saw several horsemen and soldiers appear from the bush and the shrubbery. There were over a dozen of them, all armed and all prepared.
You and Alexander and Ptolemy all looked at your horses, and then towards each other, and saw men walk towards and take the reigns of your horses.
You were trapped. "Look what we have here boys… princelings!" The leader walked out of the woods with a bow in hand, and you saw just how young these bandits were. They were all barely older than you. They were not soldiers, just as you were no… true prince of Macedon.
They were children or teenagers… But they were ready for battle, if not for you, than to look like one, to dissuade any further investigation.
The armor on them was ill-fitting, or just tied on with rope and extra leather strips. Most moved with sluggish and slow movements, but they had weapons in hand.
That was more than what you had.
All of them were relaxing now, as the leader walked forward. "I am not what one would consider a well-versed man in diplomacy… but you are surrounded."
You blurted. "You're barely older than us!"
That earned a ribbing from Alexander who stepped forward. "It would be well that you leave us be. Our guards will move quickly when they realize we have not returned."
The leader then smiled. "You're guard? Do you mean your boys who play at Soldier? The men whom you ordered away, because you did not want to see your… journey interrupted? Those that did not come with you because they found your little… jaunts boring, or because it was not safe?"
They must have been watching the camp and column from afar. "You say we are princelings?" Ptolemy spoke. "Let us be, and you will be richly rewarded?"
"And what would I gain from that, other than the scorn of Philip?" He spoke. "I hold his sons after all?"
The boy soldiers were moving quickly, and the leader spat. "Now, you will come with us, or you will die, that simple. For you will help us find that treasure."

You arrived at a cave, and you saw the children hug their siblings, the younger ones that stayed behind, as they marched victoriously.
What do you do?:
[]Stay by Ptolemy and Alexander: The two of them would be at ease if you did not move or wander far away from them.
[]Talk to the Leader: You want to know what he wants, besides treasure.
[]Try to Escape: You are going to get out of here and get back to Father.
AN: Enjoy.
