After several hours of internal debate, we've finally voted for this plan instead of awakening now. 5-4 split, though, so it was close and it's not impossible that we might change our mind again.

Changed my mind, gonna vote for this. I don't see half-shifting being on the table any time soon (if only for Ryza's safety in the aftermath while being in enemy land). It'll hopefully let her dragon-self settle down even more from all the half-shifting, and allow for a proper little celebration to happen.

Normally I wouldn't throw in a splinter vote this late unless I felt I had good reason, but we were explicitly told it wouldn't split the vote so I'm okay with it. It's pretty similar to the prevailing "set the stage" vote I'm just adding in what I consider to be the priority tiers of gathering people.

I was tempted to end up naming every named character Ryza has had a positive interaction with but trying to hold myself back. ...somewhat. Basically, Artemis, Kelton, and Belle I feel are non-negotiable. They're pretty much the most important people in Ryza's personal life and mechanically it's reflected in that she has support levels with them. Sypha is a borderline case and I think if she couldn't make it it would significantly affect Ryza's willingness to perform it without her but maybe it wouldn't be a dealbreaker. The following two tiers I think are more of a "Ryza would like these people to be there if they could, but it's understandable if they can't because wars are terrible." The medium tier grouping I think have had a bit more prominent roles in her life and the direction she's chosen for herself. The lower tier is for people she's traveled/worked with/will work with and where I drew the line before I started including everyone (sorry phoebe i did not forget you.) I'm well aware several people on the medium/low tiers are very likely to be unavailable (like Lacroix) and that's okay.

tl;dr: If it's easier to think of it as Artemis/Kelton/Belle are the musts, Sypha is strongly recommended, and everyone else is invited too you can think of it that way LOL.

I do think it's important to hold it at Ryza's home though. It just feels right to me. Plus I don't know if it means anything on the ritual side of things but I think there's meaning in having humans come together in a manakete's place and for it not to be because of war or looting and serving as a first step in what Ryza hopes to achieve for the future.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but "Southlands" refers to the part of the Empire that Lacroix is from, not the part of the Kingdoms that Artemis and co. are from, right?
