The fact that the starving could have been avoided if the government were less...you know, monstrous doesn't seem to have occurred to that many of them.

Okampan Crew – the crew are bright, perky, cheerful, and incredibly psychically powerful. Individually, they're all better than Vulcans, and as a gestalt? Who knows!

so... just caught up to this and it is brilliant.
I love how weird is our normal starfleet is, even from the get go (one of the thing that sometimes turns me off of Star trek fanworks is the cult of the Enterprise, sure it is the protag ship, we get a lot of milliage and it sees a lot of weird stuff, but I personally prefer it to be 'more weird than average' and a good ship and good crew than some of the stuff some fans end up doing)
I like this Janeway, she is for one consistent and can be quite interesting, as the crew, larger than life, and what not
Also, think Harry should be up for a field promotion? he really Kirked it up in the last ep, and keeping him an ensign after that, dunno, feels a letdown (also since this is a fix it quest for Voy, promoting him sooner than latter should be a thing, right?)

Not sure about the vote, yet, think I'll have to think about it but how much Heist movie are we willing to go?

The only problem is no one believes it actually happened...

OR DID THEY!?

But yes, more votes please! I am going to be resuming writing quests soon (I'm still on break from writing my novel.)

Well, I mean, they are Starfleet, weird is their business and improbability their bread and butter, plus our friendly orion can vouch for his sexcapades (is that the right word?) which would be the more improbable bit in his log

Anyway, congrats on the Novel, and kudos on the break (didn't notice the post)

But all these votes are really complicated. I'm tempted to just vote for whichever one calls the Doctor the Emergency Crime Hologram.

Hey, I'm happy to have the Doctor get ECH (Emergency Criminal Hologram) protocols. Let's extend his functionality and turn him into just that, with the knowledge of some of the finest Criminal minds the Federation and cardassia have to offer.

Anyway, if we have access to all sorts of data, and personalities, I don't see why not use it. If we can have an Emergency Medical Hologram, which can become an Emergency Command Hologram, why not an Emergency Criminal Hologram, or an Emergency Engineering Hologram? At long last, we can no longer say "I'm a Doctor, not a ________."

I am sure that won't bite us in the ass, no siree
Eh, Cardassian crime probably includes things like breathing without permission(no matter how un-difficult it actually is to run a ship or station's life support with some margin for error). And we have the most sympathetic of Federation criminals, the Maquis, right here.

He's an ECH, keep it on brand.

Emergency Culinary Hologram? Let's give Nelix some competition?
Emergency Cartographer Hologram?
Emergency Choreography Hologram, for when you really need a dance number then again, its Star Wars which has the musical specials
Emergency Cardassian Hologram, for when you really want to ask 'What would Garak do?'

Plenty of things that would fit ECH, other than Command and Criminal!

Well, the ECH movements aren't restricted by physics or pesky biology, so... killer moves that one

--[X] Part 1: The Inside Man
---[X] Like any overly intricate heist we're going to start by getting an inside man. For that we're going to need Harry and his lovers three. Having 'stolen' a Type-9 shuttle Mr. Kim will arrive on Sikaris with his three partners. His three pre-Warp partners. Citing his violation of the Prime Direction Mr. Kim will bemoan how his indiscretion resulted in him being demoted to Ensign Junior Grade and that he was ordered to return the women he loved to the regressive society that they came from. Frustrated, he took them and the shuttle and left with the intention of asking the Sikarians for help in getting away from Voyager. In exchange he promises them his technical know how and the technologies held within his stolen shuttle. Little will the Sikarians know that planted within the Shuttle's systems will be the Doctor who, once they hook it up to their systems, will infiltrate their internal network. The Doctor will look for blind spots in the security network, steal passcodes, and spoof surveillance footage as needed. Harry and the girls will also help with what systems they manage to gain access to.
--[X] Part 2: The Team Arrives
---[X] Aboard a ship with all the proper accreditation, the infiltration team consisting of Danara, R'lash, Lindel, and Seska will arrive. R'lash stay with the ship as a uniformed chauffeur. Lindel will play the part of the actress on a downward spiral, the death of her husband leading her to become a careless gambler intent on throwing away her money at The Star Chancers Gambling Tourney. Danara will play the part of her advisor in truth and as a cover. She'll be helping Lindel stay in the game and win big to draw attention. Seska will pose as a beleaguered assistant who will slip away when no one is looking and begin an infiltration of the teleporter facility. She will be guided by the Doctor and much of the job will involve sneaking through vents.
--[X] Part 3: The Flash Mob
---[X] At this point the MRSS Val Jean will arrive and begin disgorging its crew and causing minor havoc up until the point that management is brought in. At that point V'orak will beam down, having morphed themselves into the most intimidating Gorn subspecies and get into a heated face-off with the staff, one tense enough to bring in those guards that would otherwise be assigned to defend the teleporter. This will provide Seska the opportunity to slip past the final layer of defenses and get her hands on the Sikarian teleporter tech. Once she has what she needs she'll sneak out to a point where Harry has access to and drop off the device. Harry then will pick it up and sneak it into the shuttle.
    --[X] Part 4: The Finale
---[X] The standoff with the Val Jean crew would get rowdy until management starts pushing them out. In the chaos a bunch of Okampa will end up getting pushed close to the drone which they will quickly cover in an active camouflage tarp made using the same technology that powers Starfleet's isolation suits. The Borg drone now rendered invisible will be carried away by members of the Val Jean crew. Meanwhile, Amy, who has been surgically altered to look more Okampan will Change into a duplicate of the drone and go 'berserk.' Someone will shout the Borg drone is active and before the Skiarians can do anything Amy-Drone will be tackled by a number of brave Okampa will be 'beamed into space' by the Val Jean. The heist crew will take the opportunity as an excuse to get to their ship and leave. Finally Voyager will return to the world having finally 'tracked down' Harry and immediately beam him, the girls, and the shuttle up to their vessel. Playing the part of Psycho Janeway, our dear captain will shout down Gathorel with threats of quantum torpedoes if he tries to get in her way, telling him there is nothing she will not do in service to the Prime Directive, a tenant of which is keeping Federation technology out of the hands of those that would misuse it.

--[x] Kes (Clairsentience & Psychic Gestalt Coordinator)
--[x] The Doctor (to bodyjack the Borg Drone via downloading his program into the Drone's Cybernetic Implants - ala Body and Soul)
    -[x] The Plan
--[x] Phase One: MRSS Val Jean will arrive at the planet, flooding the resort with the majority of Okampan Crew for shore leave (and leaving the wreck of a fighter at a useful spot in orbit). This both adds a lot of new people to the resort for security to split attention between, and gives us access to a potential psychic gestalt to use in the heist. Also, since Okampans are described as natural telepaths, it probably wouldn't be too hard for them to nudge people towards thinking "Everything is fine" and to let down their guard.
--[x] Phase Two: Amidst the chaos, the field team enters, with Danara Pel & V'orak entering the gambling tournament, and R'lash entering the Hoverski Pan-Oceanic Race Circuit, with Seska (carrying a EMH backup module containing a copy of the Doctor) and Nelix, serving as her "support crew." Field team takes the opportunity to scan the area surreptitiously, with sensor vests disguised as clothing, getting a better picture of conditions on the ground. Kes is among the Okampans, coordinating her fellows in using their psychic abilities to help everyone at the resort, security included, turn their attention to the ongoing events. The ongoing spectacles becomes more, while the work in the shadows becomes...less. Subjectively speaking.
--[x] Phase Three: Once the events are underway and people are distracted, Seska and Nelix will find a way to slip away and download the Doctor into the Borg Drone's cybernetic implants, giving him access to the capabilities of a Borg Drone for the duration of this mission. Seska and Doctor of Borg will proceed to compromise the sensor systems, using the drone's functionality and Seska's technical know-how to do so. An assimilated bioneural gel-pack being wired into the hotel's computer center may be involved, creating a small "collective" that the Doctor would have control over.
--[x] Phase Four: Once Doctor of Borg has gained control over security systems, Nelix will meet up with Kes, and they take the quantum computer and clear the route to the secure facility and disable the guards and force fields through their sneaky commando ways (which may or may not involve Anesthizine gas, psychic suggestion, or other such). Following that, Seska and Doctor of Borg will enter the secure facility and locate information on the desired transporter technology (as well as whatever else may be useful that they keep in their secure computer of theirs), and acquire it, as well as a working model of one of the Sikarian transporters. To make their escape, they will use said transporter system to beam to a "lightly used" Kazon fighter in orbit, from which they can be beamed aboard the Val Jean - where an isolation chamber has been prepped in one of the shielded boltholes. Doctor of Borg will, of course, turn off the Collective search signal (if possible) before beaming up. Depending on whether they need to return to keep cover, Kes, Nelix, and Seska may return to the resort or also be beamed out, with Seska leaving behind a virus that wipes the system so there's no record of the beam out or at least so that records are scrambled entirely. Meanwhile, our gamblers and pilot are still doing their thing, with the Okampan psychic gestalt covering us / tilting the odds ever in our favor. V'orak will assist as needed, with Danara keeping track of how everything is going.

Just barely pulled ahead!

Now, to read the plan and see what it actually DOES!

"but dragon, you-"

Bleh bleh bleh, I do what I waaaaaaaaaaant, you're not my real daaaaaaaaaaaad!

PRIME FACTORS (1.4)
"We could try invernting the nutrino flow in the teleporter buffers and just yank the entire building out of its foundations," Harry Kim said.

"Inverting- do you want us all to die?" Torres exclaimed. "We'll have to flunt the entire C-Spec interdynamic plexers, and...I...am not doing that without at least six or seven backup kidneys."

"I want to avoid anything with flunting," Janeway said, her voice grim.

"I believe, Captain, that we could skip the flunting of the C-spec interdynamic plexers if we simply rely upon a biomorphic gel pattern. The Doctor could-" Tuvok started.

C'nola slammed her palms onto the table. "Oh my fucking Emperor, shut the FUCK UP! ALL OF YOU!"

Everyone at the table gaped at her. Even her girlfriend, Amy, gaped at her. Janeway blinked, then opened her mouth to speak, but C'nola was already on her feet, glaring at them. "We're not going to be wasting time with your stupid fucking technolinga jibbering! I did not get dragged across the galaxy and through a dimensional rift and backwards in time to deal with a bunch of...of...of...COG BOYS!" She shook her head. "Listen! This is the plan!" She thrust her finger down on the table, then laid out, with breathtaking speed, shocking elegance, and a quite remarkable string of Cadian, Catchean and Necromundian profanity...her plan.

Once she was done, she sat back, panting softly.

Torres pointed at C'nola. "I like that plan," she said. "Lets go with that."

"Agreed," Janeway said. "...you're on cleaning duty for Neelix's kitchen for the next week."

"Bu-" C'nola started.

"Two weeks." Janeway said, flatly.

"Yes, my lord," C'nola muttered.

"Three."

***
There was one person who didn't like his part of the plan.

"What's wrong, you love hanging out with the ladies," Tom said as he and Harry walked towards Harry's quarters - to make their first part of the mission seem a bit more believable, they were going to be bringing non-replicated clothing from Harry's closet. It wasn't a huge risk that the Sikarians would scan Harry at the level of detail to puck up that his clothing was recently replicated, but when there were this many moving parts in a plan, it was best to make sure all of them got greased.

"I...I mean, yes, but...the...the...Danara is not a the ladies, neither is Seska!"

"What's wrong with Seska?" Tom asked.

"She's a Cardassian!?" Harry asked. "A Cardassian agent who spent three weeks hiding in the Val Jean's air ducts, then tried to blow Voyager up with a disruptor cannon!"

"Harry, stop living in the past, man," Tom said, clapping his hand on his friend's shoulder. "That was, like..."

"It was three months ago, Tom," Harry said, frowning.

"Exactly," Tom said. "If it's really an issue, I can be a go between for you two."

Harry tried to picture Tom Paris talking to Seska about his concerns about working with her. Concerns? His terror of working with her. The next image that resolved was one of those 20th century firearms that Seska had become obsessed with manifesting in her hands, then being leveled at his face while he was tied to a post, sans blindfold or cigarette.

"And Danara's a nice lady," Tom said.

"Yeah, she's a nice lady, it's just...I'm...what if I trigger her or something?" Harry asked. "She's been through so much truama. And R'lash..." He paused. "Okay, I don't know much about R'lash."

"Oh, R'lash is great, you'll have love R'lash," Tom said, smiling. "Ah, here we are."

Harry, who had been trying to think of how to get Tom to leave him alone before reaching the room, realized he'd been so completely flummoxed by everything else that he had nothing left to do but to step infront of the door, laughing. "W-Well, uh, Tommy, I'm going to, uh, just, uh, get some clothes from the room and you can go and get the rest of the team together-"

"Tommy?" Tom asked. "No one calls me Tommy."

"I didn't call you Tom-" Harry yelped as Tom grabbed his shoulders, pushed him aside, then stepped to the door, cocking his head.

"Is that giggling?" Tom asked.

"What? Giggling, no," Harry said as Tom frowned.

"I hear giggling in there-"

"I left a holobook playing!" Harry felt like a genius for coming up with that so quickly.

"How!?" Tom asked, brow furrowing. "They shut down if no one's around them."

The door opened and a pink skinned, winged girl in a nightie that didn't cover her hips stood there, leg kicked coquettishly up behind her, her elbows propped against the doorframe. She had her panties dangling from one finger, and her eyes glittered lustfully as she purred. "Sir Harry, I- oh!" She exclaimed, seeing Tom. "Shit!" Then she vanished with a spray of glittering sparkles. The other girl on the bed - a raven haired, athletic woman in nothing at all, also vanished with a muffled curse.

Tom blinked.

The door to the bathroom opened and a woman made of glittering synthsteel and shimmering chrome stepped out, wearing a long white bathrobe that just barely covered her breasts and her nipples, but swept wide around her hips to expose the gorgeous expanse of her literally mirror smooth abs. She held in one hand a bottle of wine and a glass, and looked about to speak as well, before she saw Tom.

"Drat!" she squeaked.

Then she also vanished.

"What was that!?" Tom turned to face Harry. "Wha...ab...but...Q?"

"Please!" an ensign walking behind them said, turning to face them. It was Q, looking annoyed "As if I'd fuck Harry, even as a woman!" With that statement dropped, he turned and kept walking, shaking his head, muttering. "Really! Harry Kim, of all the..."

"Okay, well, that...if it's not Q, what the hell is going on?" Tom asked, turning to face Harry.

Harry looked mildly hurt, then shook his head. "Well, there's a very simple explanation for this," he said, thinking furiously.

The plan has hit its first hurdle.
[ ] "They're holograms. I have been programming holograms."
[ ] Harry tells Tom Paris the truth: They're Harry Kim's three paradimensional alternate universe girlfriends from the split off universe created when a dilithium core on a planetary body was struck hard enough to shatter the timeline into a technological and magical universes. One of them is a Pegasus, the other is a Princess, and the last one is technically two people - a magical construct and positronic brain held in two nearby universes, able to merge and split at will. So, uh...technically, they're...four...girlfriends...

I find both of these ideas very funny.
