[Dreamer -> Martial Savant]

[Can now raise Supernatural Martial Art Skills to 200]
Oh now that is just beautiful, truly Hayato has grown into one helluva fighter. Now then, wonder what we'll end up pushing this towards. I think empathy was the goal but needs must ya know.
First, we should do the Mind Walk with Yato. I'm expecting us to get Resistance Training Bonuses from him, so that'll be important for the next steps.
I think I remember the Mind Walk being stated to be pretty intense, sure we shouldn't hold off till we buff Empathy and/or Resistance more?

[X] Yes

Oh come on, like we wouldn't vote to do this anyways without the bonus.

Skills don't matter for the Mind Walk, but it is going to take an entire week.
Fair enough Resistance wise but Empathy might still help connection and story wise since it's all but been said that our partner did not have a happy ending.

And judging by how he acted about it, he did somethings he's not proud of sharing. And we've got to see those things he did and experienced, good or bad, from his own POV.

As far as I understand it, it's entirely Narrative with the mechanical involvement being how big of a SL boost we'll get. Because we've pushed for SL6(7? One of the two), IIRC we'll end up at SL10 regardless of our choices as long as we don't do any sort of breaking of the relationship.

I look forward to that Arc.

We're at SL6 and the Mind Walk increases the SL by 4, no matter what our SL level would have been. The Mind Walk is the only way for us to raise Yato's SL any higher now that we're at SL6.

Guys? I think you're overlooking one detail: Our new class boosts our SMA cap. UMT is an SMA; the only difference is that it started that way, as opposed to the mortal martial arts we've acquired supernatural skill with. Thus, I'm pretty sure that our UMT cap is 200 too.

When the idea that you were strong enough presented itself, you ignored it.
Wrong tense.
"But you'll get sick!"

"No I won't. I'm your big brother. I'm too tough to get sick,"
I believe the proverb goes "idiots don't catch colds".
"N-n-no," he says between sniffles while he tries to wipe the tears from his eyes, "It's-it's-you got wet up. Because of me. [...] I'm a...I'm a terrible-"
*sometime in the past*
"It's alright if people get wet because of you, Yam."
*present time*
Harem protagonist

Hayato really is the best role model, huh. :V
"See? There's nothing on this planet that can bring down your big brother, Hayato!"

He sniffs some more and you offer your sleeve to him. He wipes the snot and stuff off on your shirt, but you don't mind. He says in a shaky voice, "Pr-Pro-Promise?"

"Promise."
Now you are just dispensing death flags. This is exactly the kind of flashback to have during the Final Battle.

A bit sad about losing that Dark Path opportunity. Now where am I supposed to get my drama?

[x] No

We already had the scariest death flag available: We are the Bro. It's hard to get more doomed than that.

This! Is! SHOUNEN! *ahem* Anyway, a large part of our genre is us doing everything in our power to dropkick drama straight into the sun. If you want drama, you'll have to wait for our highly-likely death scene (which, being us, will probably be either an awesome and extremely flashy battle to demonstrate what Yamato's up against, or an anticlimactic assassination after a head-on attack doesn't work).

and that fact I love
I want more death flags...:drevil::coolbeans:

It is a WoG that the trip to Yato's mind has no skill checks, just that it is going to take lot of time.
It's not about the skill check, it's for the less mechanical minded benefits I.E absorbing the impact of all the things we're likely to see.

I look forward to it too but my motives to boost either is Narrative, like I said easing the burden that seeing what's likely to be a bloody and tragic end to a likely ultimately tragic life.

Unfortunately I'm fairly sure that we've established a difference.

Right now there's Supernatural Martial Arts which are Ascended Mortal Martial Arts and therefore can be relevant when combating the Supernatural and then there's Partner Arts which are basically a combination combat style between a Mortal and a Supernatural Being.

I see SMAs as being a Normal Skill with enhanced Damage Threshold and Damage Resistance piercing and PAs as basically Advanced Skills.

IIRC, our new Class also unlocks PAs to 150, but @LinkOnScepter has a preference for sharing details like that IC when it's relevant, so once we get around to Mastering UMT we'll likely see that aspect of it.

Or he may forgotten to include it or have decided against it.

That's what Elizabeth is for, swallowing her with Friendship and her struggle to stay away from The Organization.

Literally just did a speedrun of Fate UBW Abridged now. It's impossible for me to say yes to this without lying.

Quick question, @LinkOnScepter, wasn't there supposed to be a perk we get after raising three Supernatural Martial Arts to 100 that allows us to use all of our martial arts perks with any of our martial arts?
The Arts themselves? Yes, they are limited to Combat only and only work when using that Martial Art. The special perk you get for getting Three Super Arts to 100 is the one that lets you use all the Perks regardless of Super Art.
Also, loved the update. Really got the feels.
