Rebirth Of Man: Unification Of Terra

Question how, relatively speaking, expensive is terraforming
It would be roughly the same cost as a high tier army to do it once. Basically, each action is terraforming the entire nation to have more resources and defenses and so on. So its a massive upfront cost, every time you do it expect to empty the bank. It unlike many things requires both Basic Resources and Production to fund and as such using it will sharply limit what can and cannot be done outside of it.

This is where the long term nature of it comes into play. In the early game it is very much debatable on whether you should use, but as time passes each usage becomes more and more worth it.

Are you willing to spend enough money to fund several legions or upgrade them on improving the land to a higher level, that is the question that this technology asks you.

[X] Terraforming
[X] Tall

Let's not piss off most the rest of humanity with tech heresy. Also impenetrable mountain bastions (eventually) for the win.

Um, quick question to the thread. When you are picking the Terraforming option are you considering biosphere creation/terraforming as well?

I am concerned that I failed to properly explain the limits of terraforming as a tech path. To clarify once more and sorry for this, the option only covers the Geologic alteration aspect of terraforming. You don't have the biosphere or genetic parts in this option.

Again I reference my hope for impenetrable mountain bastions.

Good, just got a little worried due to the more standard definition of terraforming including the biosphere creation/alteration part.

[X] Terraforming
[X] Wide

Wide seems more useful for terraforming. Why bunker down when we can convince our neighbors that they're better off joining us?. Others may fight for glory and shit. Us? Our nation's goal should be to make Terra blue again. Imagine: A nation expanding as city after city willingly (and happily!) submits in return for restoring their land.

[X] Artificial Intelligence
[X] Tall

The only way to restore the glory of the past in my opinion. Too much of the old tech base was build around AI and automation.

I will say that in this quest, AI is not required to reach the levels of the Dark Age. It was just one of the many aspects of the age, but it was still just an aspect that had an overly high presence in the military areas.

Looks like Tall and Terraforming win.

I will note that this both a synergy and an anti synergy, in that it will grant better city defenses in exchange for less overall infrastructure upgrades.

Wide would have been the other way around, with more income buffs vs lower city defense bonuses.

Well those are certainly some rolls and it seems something was cancelled thanks to the blank. Also how the dice decided to roll only one male hero. I wonder where this'll go?
well unless I misread something.

granted there's also apparently one who's insane.
