I will note that in this quest that aspect of the Imperial Truth is actually correct. Denying religion enmass would reduce Chaos' power over the course of millennium. If Emps managed to get that hammered down for 10k years it would start knocking Chaos' power down overall, if the dominant species refuses to let their faith go to anyone real it will not go to Chaos and even if Chaos is mostly self sufficient, it still has a tad higher operating cost than what it can self generate.

The issue is that any form of religion tampering would work just as well. In other words, banning religion is just as effective at stabbing Chaos as having everyone worship say Odin once again as long as you can keep Chaos out of the thing. That is the largest issue with allowed religion, it is incredibly easy for Chaos to sneak in a few sermons or what have you and presto all of that faith is heading right for them once more.

So Emps decided to not deal with that aspect, and so just got rid of religion as a state thing and made the state legally atheist. However, this is simply why he choose to do that. There are other ways to achieve similar results, such as having only Blank preachers, or to have only preachers that are truly faithful to whatever religion they have.

Yeah, chaos is unfairly good at infecting religions with its stupidity. One chaos cultist gets into the priest hood and suddenly at least one church is going to be weaving in chaos nonsense into its sermons, and with Chaos backing that one cultist is more likely than not to become the effective pope of the religion. If that happens the entire thing is basically a write off in terms of being able to be purified. That also only assumes that Chaos is trying to co-opt the entire thing. To get the faith generation all they need is to make a single meme or infect a world with a general idea of one of their domains.

For example, a world that worships a pantheon that includes a warrior god? For Chaos to get that faith they literally just need to make people think that said warrior god likes fighting. Warrior God then becomes an aspect of Khorne and all of its faith is dumped into Chaos' lap.
 
I do wonder about that since with the tau (in cannon) it proves that warp gods other then the chaos gods exist (as in created post eldar gods) does that in quest those other gods are at risk mean like for example at one point the lear had a god that become part of sleanesh?

the issue is that the Tau are basically a race of near blanks and are a very small empire. They have what a handful of sectors to their name and maybe a grand total of a few trillion people. Compared to the Quadrillions of people, millions of worlds and massively more potent souls of humanity they are a complete rounding error to a single human world in the eyes of Chaos. Corrupting a single human world will give Chaos more immediate power, better options for continuation, more people in total. Overall, the Tau got their god by being so unpalatable that Chaos just didnt want to spend the energy for pitiful returns.

The issue is one of scale and practically for Emps. With religion outlawed as the norm then any upcoming religion is going to be noted by the bureaucrats and is going to generate a slew of reports that would reach all the way to Malcador and him, at which point he can take a short hop over there to check out the planet. Overall, Emps would rather have underground cults than deal with the hassle of de-chaosing an interstellar religion, he has done it before and it was a pain then and would be even more of a pain in this era. Its a matter of ruthless calculus of war in Emps mind, its better to sacrifice billions to save hundreds of trillions. He knows full well that there would be underground cults, religions and what not, that is part of his plan. His goal in truth is to simply prevent any interstellar religion to keep everything world locked as best as he can. Most people are also not going to be so fanatical about their beliefs as to challenge the rule of law. All of this together, means that he will only learn of the religions that are an actual threat to his plans. After all, what is more dangerous; a cult of 100 or a religion that holds sway over 100 worlds. The former Emps would shrug and let fall to Chaos, the latter could doom entire worlds to Chaos if it became corrupted. So, his solution is to just prevent the latter by outlawing religion and trust in the absolute crappy interstellar transit capabilities to keep the things from growing across worlds.

The above is why he didnt even really do anything to the Ad Mech and their proto religion of worshiping ancient technology. It was too well entrenched to be removed and it had too many adherents to be dealt with. So he instead tested it and found no corruption and thus it become approved.

The issue with God Forging is that Chaos has a massive say in how gods form, Emps would have to babysit the forming gods for thousands of years to be sure that Chaos wouldn't infect them. That is the issue with God Forging and why the head canon I am using is that he instead went with the Apotheosis route with the Primarchs who were meant to ascend to become Gods over the eons. They would be weaker at start, but when they did ascend they would be anchored to reality to prevent Chaos from infecting their domains the moment he lost focus.
 
Can Emperor not use narrative to use Template of Omnissiash to create a God? It is after all a interstellar religion. Maybe something like Autochothan in Exalted.

Yes, he could over the course of millennium, but honestly the Ad Mech isnt a good faith for a god to be made from. Part and parcel of their faith is the idea that all machines have spirits which separates bad tech from good tech. This means that any hypothetical god of them would be spending 99% of its energy to give every las gun in existence a personalized daemon.

Also if it ever got corrupted that means that every single piece of Technology it touched would instantly become Chaotic. So if it Fell to Chaos then the Imperial Army would also instantly fall to chaos due to their Las Guns making them fall over the course of a few years.

I don't think the emps at this point is powerful enough to do something like this (remember in cannon its after the worship of the imperium he is able to influence things like burning nurgles realm)

Narrative is subordinate to Chaos as a whole at the moment. There is a reason that only through conflict does warp Narrative form and empower things and people. You basically can't use narrative to protect something from Chaos without exceptional effort and furthermore it can only be done by the thing itself. Emps can not give chaos immunity to other gods, they have to have that themselves.

In Emps presence any and all low level daemons are instantly and permanently killed. If Emps walked into a Chaos God's realm they would find their daemons reduced to only the 10 or so most powerful and all the others reduced to golden ash as they tried to fight Emps. The issue is that Emps is but 1/100 of a Chaos God in terms of power at the moment, so if he did that he would die. This is how he works in this quest

1) Aeldari have over 65 million years of information backlog and cultural practices, traditions and general knowledge that Emps lack. Asking why an Aeldari can do something with the warp that Emps can't do is a self answering question. In other words, Emps doesn't even have a flicker of the understanding that the Post Fall Aeldari have of god forging and the mysteries of the warp. Before the Fall it was even more lopsided.
2) Emps didnt really invent much psi tech for humanity. Gellar Fields, Null Rods, phase iron, psyker hoods none of them were inventions by Emps but by normal humans over the course of the Dark Age. Also the Hammer thing was made by Vulkan in a fugue state with only minimal influence by Emps so that is more to Vulkan's skills than Emps.
2a) The Angel is a total failure for what it was meant too do. It was so bad that Emps himself locked it away and threw away the key to never unseal the thing. Its actually by all measures an anti feat for Emps' skill with warp creation.
3) That is the problem right there, the closer a God is to its origin mythos the easier it is for Chaos to influence it and also the worse the effects are if it Falls to chaos. To protect a God from Chaos you can't have the god be only anchored by its myths it requires a actual mind and soul of its own distinct from its origin mythos.
4) Again different type of god, the Omnisiash is very much a God In All Things type being rather than an actual being to the Ad Mech. They see Emps as the highest amount of the god in any place but he isnt the majority of the god. He is only the largest representation of it in material form. In other words every machine spirit also counts to them as avatars of the Omnisiash
 
In regards to the Eldar gods should point out that said gods were likely made by the Old Ones who were extremely old and the best race at manipulating the warp that ever existed and likely had a far easier time making them in their time thanks to the warp not going to shit from the WIH yet.

The Champion's Mantle: a suit of powered armor that includes a micro void shield inside of its ancient construction that can absorb all but the worst hits without issue. Even beyond the power of the shield unit, the armor of the suit is nigh unbreakable and enhances the wearer's strength and speed greatly. (Relic Power Armor: +50 to duels, triples wounds, grants buff of 4 wounds that regenerate at 1 per round, Inviolable)

A man that bears the mantle of secrecy as a friend. Little is known about him and even less is confirmed to be real, what is known is that he is a great fighter if not close to the level of Alax, but technology is where he shines.

Reliquary
???: A strange obelisk that Thule prays too often enough to be notable. It is a simple pillar of black marble and covered in green lighting and festooned with sigils that make one think of glyphs of forgotten languages. It seems to have a las cannon in the tip of it, but that is unconfirmed as for now

???: a suit of power armor built by Thule himself and it is better by far than any other one barring the one that Alax uses.
