Gods of Chaos: a Riot God Quest

I'm thinking about giving the Sea Spirit a hand. That said, it seems like everything done so far has marginalized them to the point I suspect they'd either turn on the land creatures or the Makers themselves.

Not... that I'm opposed, but still.

Underground sea maybe? Maybe something that goes down towards the core of the world.

or maybe a Dimensional Sea that they can reside in? might be worth thinking about, if only for the fun of it.
…We could connect the spirit to the sea of magma thats makes up alot of the earth, could be neat to make lava creatures and stuff that live down there. Would also mean that the personification that eventually comes out of the sea spirit would be a pretty near water/lava combo.

Wait. What happened to the "beings don't die, they just get reshuffled and reincarnated" thing?

Shouldn't that mean that everything that passed in the Seen and hasn't reincarnated is still in the Unseen somewhere? i.e. Voidlings?

The Outer Gods are not naturally living beings and do not reincarnate. The same applies for other immortal divine entities such as the Custodians and Abraxas. Doesn't mean new lifeforms can't arise from their remains, though!

Hmm, well, deep-sea biology is actually really interesting. Some undersea caves would be an interesting new biome to introduce.

[] Create the soul of The Divine Hero, A Demi-God soul embodying the concept of heroism who is born among the races of the world as one of them during times of strife to live out its life before being born again during the next time it is needed. (Grand Act)

I think something like this would be cool, the merchant was a step in the right direction but I like stuff like this too.

Askr and Embla, the First Humans:

Nice seeing this come along. By the time they finally break free they would have broken a shell of divine wood specifically noted to be invulnerable.

The World-Song Stones

Hmm. the wall of reality are fraying around them. If they do cause an opening I can already envision those stones being engulfed by Yggdrasil's roots, which will probably lead to bad times for the people who are around. They are not gods after all and thus can't simply overpower the roots.

So I have been considering this caste
Create the Questing Beast:
From the flesh of the slain Outer Gods a maker spins a new thing into being. A creature of myriad forms save for its hide of purest white and black bones and horn and giving of a light that beguiles all who see it.

The questing beast is a living tale as much as a creature. Guided by the Law of Narrative Satisfaction it appears before figures of note in such a way as to entice them to hunt them. The form the Beast takes during this hunt is settled and should the hunter prove successful the beast's corpse will always provide a grandiose solution to the issue that plagued them. A hunter desperately seeking prey to feed their starving village might fight a drink and bite of the beast's flesh sates them for years and gives perfect health besides, an outcast warrior prince hoping to reclaim his lost kingdom might fight that the blood that drenches them grants them invulnerable skin and a fragment of the beguiling charisma of the Beast.

Yet woe betides the hunter who underestimates the beast for no matter their strength and the resources they can bring to bear the beast will always prove the greater and as clever as any animal can be beside. The fight will always be one of challenges where the victor can never be assured. After all what good is a tale that does not have any tension?

When the hunt ends, either in the Hunter or Beast's death or the Hunter simply giving up the Beast is reborn in the Unseen realm a short time after to repeat the hunt with a new hunter and in a new form.

The tale of the Questing Beast is always one that rather open but strict in what is required for it to appear. The hunter does not need to be a hero. The hunt can serve as the beginning of hero or villain both or even the Deus ex machina of either of their climaxes, yet always it's hunt is always one that is pivotal, changing the course of the tale of the one that hunts it and often enough the hunters are people of import that are the center of grand tales of their own.

This was inspired by all the various legends of magical creatures in mythology that had special attributes that, when slain, provided major boons to their killer, from the Salmon of Knowledge or fafnir.

@Photomajig

What level act is this, I consider it a lesser act, but I want to make sure.

I'm thinking I should make an animal to inhabit the subterranean area of the world since there's nothing there at the moment.

[] Create the Iktai. (Lesser act)

-[] Very large centipede-like beasts with strong pincer-like legs that allow them to burrow through the ground. They can eat essentially anything and their diet mostly consists of the dirt and rock rubble that they dig through. However, they find precious minerals particularly appetizing and the Iktai that are able to find and eat large quantities of certain minerals tend to take on aspects of it. An Iktai could eat a large amount of gold and gain a shimmering gold shell for example. Make nests near underground magma pools but very rarely return to the nest except to lays eggs. Females will curl around the eggs until they are hatched and protect them until adulthood.

What do you guys think?

Something for the Cosmic vote. I don't think the Outer Gods will need another adversary so not doing that.

[]Make the Hand of a Maker. (Cosmic Act)
A vast thing of the Void. Leviathan in shape, encased by a shell of Moonstone. Born of an Outer God's flesh, granted mortality, that it may bleeds its ichor. Within it, the Flames of Chaos shall be kindled. It will think nothing and eat nothingness. May it wander through the Makers' Creation eternally.

Don't know what's coming for next turn, but I'll either meddle with my creations or empower one of the sides in the Cosmic theater.

Thank you for letting me play, but I feel as if I should depart for a time. I will be back one day to look upon all our works, but for now, I leave to work on my many writings that need doing.

[] Create the Druyul (Grand Act)

The Abraxas and the Architect have decided to work together on their next great and wonderful project; an entirely new sentient reptilian species called the Druyul, a humanoid reptilian race The average height of a Druyul is 5 foot 10/11 inches, and each and every Druyul has reptilian wings attached to their back, giving them the capability for short to medium-range flight along with a tail that can be detached and grow back, an ability shared by lizards. Druyul are an omnivorous species, and prefer to feed on tough vegetables or meat from birds or fish or larger animals. Hunting by divebombing targets from the air is a common practice, and fishing is common among the coastal communities.

The Druyul shall be born in the Eastern half of the Arken Lands.

Also @Photomajig would naming the world be a seperate act or just a regular vote?

The lesson is probably that individual mortals aren't good at withstanding being empowered on a Grand or Cosmic level, especially abruptly. It's a bit much for them.

So, I was thinking, and decided on what I'll be adding into the vote! Lets add Dogos to the world, WOOoooo.... Had to flip a coin between the dogs and cats....

Create Dream Canidae (Grand Act)

Born from the space between Imagination and Reality, these creatures are brought forth into both the Unseen and reality. Creatures of canine family are crafted with the capacity to freely run between realms, dancing from one side to the other with instinctive ease. Messengers, Hunters, Playful tricksters and wild creatures full of life are introduced to creation- each exotic and unique in an ever evolving world.

Sure, we could do regular dogo's, but this is so much more fun! Also, any other suggestions towards this idea from the people @Photomajig did I get it right on the estimation here for their cost of creation?

Currently torn between creating some kind of 'storyteller' creature spirits which can primarily give Nahu a 'replacement' peoples she can tell of her achievements to and can then go out and tell her stories again on her behalf; or else some kind of super-designed livestock to spread about the Hot Lands so the rest of the Myridna have a better source of food to keep them from starving.

I kinda want one of the outer gods to hide behind one of Vanti's masterpieces. And then desperately trying to save it from Vanti's destruction in an act of kinda kinship? Not the normal greed, love, or desire that people usually come at Vanti with when trying to steal/save her works.

As an outer god I'm not sure if they appreciate beauty in our creation? Or if they express that appreciation for beauty through destroying as like the flip side of creation, art is a bang yada yada.

But I want them to try to save the masterpiece, and fail, and then destroy their failure. Destroying the Destruction of the Masterpiece, restoring it to it's previous existence, and symbolically cracking their fate.

Their makers who told them to destroy, called for their destruction
Vanti who creates Masterpieces, destroys Masterpieces

The Masterpiece which was fated to be destroyed was saved
They who were fated to destroy saved something

Maybe this crack in their fate and purpose leads them to try to save other things that their makers would condemn to destruction? I wonder what kinda effect a masterpiece would have once it was no longer confined within Vanti's sphere of influence/the unreal. I also want Vanti to be ok tho. Precious horizon spider.

[]Cracking Fate

what level of act would that be?

Alright, voting is now open, right? So I'll go with my option, later adding Acts I support when others vote as well.

Authored:
[X] Create the first wave of the Ungulate Mammals, from the small pigs to the massive mythological whales known as Cetus. Let them spread across the lands and oceans and compete with one another like the birds before them. (Grand Act)
With a breath of power, from the land and sea a new type of animal shall rise. In the land a grand and large number of herbivores and carnivores shall be formed from the land's dirt, while in the sea they shall be formed from the dirt of the ocean's bottom rising to the surface. These shall be the mammals, a group of animals that feed their young with milk formed inside their bodies during the time of inner-body pregnancy.
As with the birds before them, these animals shall compete to survive in this world, until only the fittest survives and thrives.

Supported:
[X] create vigor the power of warriors that is generated from their life forces of living beings that is built upon the law of constant evolution. all creatures shall have an innate amount of vigor based on how powerful their body is and can train to further expand their own personal capacity. The more vigor one possesses the greater their physical capability, gain resistance to the effect of magic and even increase their longevity, at a sufficient quantity and mastery one can project vigor outward from their body and shape it as one will. (Grand Act)
[X] Create the Iktai (Lesser Act)
[X] Create an edible fungus (named Dandreble Fungus) to grow in the depths of the Clouded Lands caverns for the Umbral exiles to subsist on. Said fungus will glow and be easy to cultivate.(Lesser Act)
[X] Create Myriad Sea Plants (Grand Act)
[X] all creatures will have a core full of magical energy (minor act)
[X] Create Dream Canidae (Grand Act)
[X] Create the Druyul (Grand Act)

Edit: Added what I decide to support of as of right now, which includes Vigor. I will support this until it comes to pass.
