Thankfully, everyone was available to do reshoots for the movie, otherwise, you'd be unable to do anything, other than... maybe editing some scenes to look a little better.
Thank goodness you didn't have to resort to that, though.
Also, was it just you, or was Chance Kelly looking more attractive than usual?
The first thing you had done, was get to reshooting all of the romantic scenes between Michael's Carl Lucas, and Parisa's Reva Connors.
And it had somehow... come out perfectly. Michael and Parisa seem to have made up, when it came to their arguments and got the show on the road, portraying a literally perfect on-screen romance.
You just know that you're going to be seeing a bunch of tabloids, and probably some actually reputable news sources, debate whether or not Parisa is in a secret relationship with Michael. Even though they're both in committed relationships, Parisa having been married for a while, and Michael recently getting in a relationship.
After that, you had gone reshooting scenes with Chance Kelly, as Albert Rackham. He wasn't as good as you wanted him to be, and you just knew that you could change it.
Albert Rackham (Chance Kelly) Screen Presence Reroll: 84.
Chance's performance as Albert Rackham was a lot better in the reshoots, thank goodness. You could truly see him as an incredibly racist prison guard.
Sure, it wasn't going to be getting you any awards, but it was far better than the PS1 graphics that it once was. At least the Chemistro petrification scene, and The Shocker's makeshift gauntlets looked a hell of a lot better.
And now... it was time for the movie to come out.
You'll admit. You were incredibly nervous, wondering to yourself how this movie would go.
But you'll just have to... let the dice fall where they may, and hope to god that luck's on your side. _____
Before you say anything!
I can't believe it either.
A nat 1, rerolls into a nat 100.
What the fuck?
Now, there's no vote in this update... so, discuss all you want, while I work on the movie release.
Which might also be a discussion update. Huh.
Also, woohoo! We've reached 20 updates. That's pretty impressive, at least in my own opinion.
Damn, it's looking like that Luke Cage film is going to kick some serious ass! Insert obligatory 'Sweet Christmas!' joke here, but this has me wondering who owns the rights to Iron Fist currently. It'd be amazing if we could somehow swing a Luke Cage and Iron Fist team-up movie and go full-on 'it's literally a buddy cop movie, but with superheroes'.
I do wonder/Hope this movie leads to Luke Cage comics being way more popular, similar to what happened to Iron Man.
Also I do have to ask, does this quest have any sort of "Oscar" mechanics because with the amount of natural 100 on this movie I would say we have a pretty decent chance.

Used to love Luke Cage comics, he really was a great character, and a severely underrated one at that. I'd consider it an absolute win if this led to a resurgence in interest for the character. I'm a bit iffy on the Oscars, on the one hand it's a great movie, I'd be psyched to see it win, and it'd net us a lot of prestige, but on the other hand I'm a bit worried about other people trying to poach Michael B. Jordan if he wins one, not the mention hiring him suddenly becoming a lot more expensive. Which is fine when you're expecting a hit, obviously, but when you're already on a tight budget? I could easily see it sinking a future sequel somewhere down the line. So yeah... kinda mixed feelings on that.

When is the film ready? A Feb release for Black History month would be significant. We could do late in the year for awards signaling. Also, the sweat sweat Christmas release date is out there...
21- Box Office and Reception: Luke Cage. (September 17, 2011)
You had launched the movie in the middle of September of 2011, having started off in February earlier the same year.
The audiences had absolutely loved Luke Cage, while the critics? They mostly enjoyed the movie for what it was, having praised Michael B. Jordan for his excellent acting, and Quentin Tarantino for his phenomenal directing. Though, some did criticize the third act with the rioting prisoners, as being "Aspects of a generic action movie, within a genuinely interesting prison movie"
And you know what? You were fine with that opinion... at least you made sure the action was good, nay. It was great!
The audiences had loved Luke Cage (Michael B. Jordan) quite a lot, and especially loved his chemistry with co-protagonist Curtis Carr (Laurence Fishburne).
They'd also loved the reveal of Herman Schultz (Alfie Allen) turning up after the first act, for the side-plot within the movie, of him rising through the prison as the eventual top-dog, thus leading to the previous top-dog of the prison and his goons who had all recently been enhanced, going after Herman in a prison riot.
Willis Stryker (Jamie Foxx) and Reva Connors (Parisa Fitz-Henley) were both suitably praised for being incredibly well-acted, especially Parisa, with how she and Luke Cage had played off in their romantic scenes.
And yup, you called it. The fans, and various newspapers were theorizing that Michael B. Jordan and Parisa Fitz-Henley were cheating on their respective partners, with each other. You even saw one debate that they were in a polyamorous relationship. It honestly made you crack up laughing.
Noah Burnstein (James Remar) was suitably loathed, yet loved for his evil and amoral actions. Which you were just fine with.
Shades (Theo Rossi) had seen a lot of praise, with how relaxing of a character he was. You heard about a few cults that had risen up, decreeing Theo Rossi as their path to "Salvation in Relaxation" which was... pretty weird.
Moses Magnum (Mahershala Ali) had made the audiences and critics alike incredibly intrigued, they definitely hoped to see him in a later project. And you felt the need to put him in one.
He was just that good.
Everyone else was suitably praised for their performances, including the phenomenal Terry Crews as his performance was simply a shock to the audiences, as they'd expected the intensity he had in the Old Spice Commercials. You were happy that he proved them wrong.
They'd all loved the choreography, thinking it was simply amazing, the same could be said for the VFX.
Annoyingly, the audiences didn't pay much attention to the editing and sound design... but those were mostly there for the background stuff, and to actually... put the movie together.
Domestic Box Office: $482,324,214.

_____

One... billion dollars, well... before the budget, but still! A billion dollars!
Holy crap! You had... you had honestly never, in your wildest imagination would've expected Luke Cage to make so much damn money. What the fuck!?
Post-Credit Scene: Luke Cage meeting a shadowy figure, who wants him to do something, involving Spider-Man.
Cameo: Stan Lee as the previously unseen warden of Ryker's Island.

Alright, and with this... it's time for more discussion, and thoughts while I work on the next update, which shouldn't take all that long.
Though, I might need some more time to add extra movie options. Might get it done tomorrow, due to it being really late IRL.
And, add a time limit to Ghost Rider, which will run out at the end of 2012, so you may want to get started on that.
But, you're going to be voting on what TWO movies you want to work on. Because I just want to do that.
After the massive success that was Luke Cage, you were given the ability to work on two movies at a time. And oh boy, you certainly had ideas!
Especially since you had a great scriptwriter for... one of your projects.
But before you decide on which project the scriptwriter should go to, you should actually decide on a movie to work on.
What films do you want to work on? (Choose Two) (Remember, we can use: Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Ghost Rider, and Daredevil characters for our movies.)
[] Spider-Man 2, by the time it comes out, it'll be a bit over a year. The perfect time for it to come out!
[] Luke Cage 2, it made a billion in the box office! Of course, you should strike while the iron's hot!
[] The Shocker has gained even more fan support as one of the pseudo-protagonists of Luke Cage, maybe he should get his own movie?
[] A Black Cat movie could be pretty damn good to do, Gal Gadot was simply amazing in the role.
[] Maybe a... Moses Magnum movie could be interesting, as a sort of... twisted version of Iron Man, it certainly has potential.
[] Chemistro could be an honest-to-god great movie, depending on what you do, especially since you could practically re-invent the character.
[] Ghost Rider's rights are going to revert to Marvel at the end of 2012, unless you make a movie on him. So you should probably do this.
[] A Venom movie could be amazing, if Karl Urban's up for returning to the role.
[] A Kraven The Hunter movie could be exhilarating, depending on whether or not you find the best actor for it.
[] Mysterio is an interesting character to make a movie out of... a man who uses illusions to fight real threats could be interesting to see. Maybe you could have him fight against actual magicians?
[] Sandman was a surprisingly sympathetic part of Spider-Man 3... maybe you could give him his own movie? Turn him from a villain into an anti-hero?
[] You know what? Fuck it, let's do Spider-Man 2099. Miguel O'Hara is great, and more people should know, and acknowledge that.
[] Also in the realm of "Fuck it", maybe now is the time to make that Aunt May movie?
[] Flash Thompson was quite frankly? Amazing, maybe you could do a movie about him?
[] Mindworm, also known as William Turner, is a fairly tragic villain who saw the error of his ways by Spider-Man, and tried to do good... it didn't work, and he died in 2005, maybe you could change that? Give him an interesting story, though he may be better in an actual Spider-Man movie.
[] You just got the rights to Daredevil. Why not strike while the iron's hot?
[] Bullseye could be a potentially interesting movie to make, at least in your opinion.
[] Well, you now have the rights to Kingpin without a shadow of a doubt. Maybe you could do a movie about his rise to the top?
[] Elektra is a well-known ally of Daredevil's and other than Black Cat, there aren't many other characters you could make entire movies out of.
[] Carnage could be interesting for a movie, though... it may not make that much sense without Venom. But screw it, you could totally wing it!
[] Speaking of "Winging it" The Vulture could be an interesting movie... at least, the idea's there.
[] Write-in:
After that, you had to decide on the genres of both of the movies.
What sort of movie should they be? (Choose up to 3 genres for each movie. Vote for this TWICE)

I really want to make a black cat movie (both because I think it would be awesome and because that making the first female-lead superheroine movie is something that we want to do as a studio)
But we need to make Ghost Rider, and Spiderman
So, I think we should make a Black Cat movie (with spiderman heavily involved, but not the focus)
Then a Ghost Rider movie
And the next batch of movies should have Spider-Man 2, and maybe even Spider-Man 3
[X] Plan: I don't have a name
