Yay, we're not dumb!

May I make a suggestion.

Can we change Seagate Prison to Rykers? Condensing things seems smart here.

Part of what we want Shocker doing is networking with other Spider-Man villains, right? Such as the ones already at Rykers, plus all the ones Spider-Man will take down who will presumably be sent to Rykers because why wouldn't they?

Instead of having the Shocker transfer to Seagate .... just have the movie take place in the New York prison instead.

16- Congratulations, you're not a dumbass.
[X] Don't be a dumbass

You decided not to be an absolute dumbass, and decided to go with the practically perfect script.

And now, it was time to find a director to... well, direct this project.

Director Interest: 99.

Thankfully, there were a lot of directors who were heavily interested in directing this movie.

[] Quinten Tarantino had wanted to work on a Luke Cage for quite a while, having worked on a general idea for it back in the 90's, and absolutely fell in love with the script. He absolutely wanted to work on this movie.
[] F. Gary Gray the director of the somewhat recently released Law Abiding Citizen, The Negotiator, and The Italian Job had seemed interested in doing the Luke Cage movie.
[] Daniel Monzón is a writer and director, you were mostly interested in the director part, with him having directed Celda 211 back in 2009. You were interested in getting him onboard for Luke Cage, and he seemed genuinely interested in doing it too, having fallen in love with the script.
[] Simon West, director of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Con Air. He seemed to be a fan of the character of Luke Cage, and loved the script.
[] Spike Lee seemed genuinely interested in working on the Luke Cage movie.
[] Ryan Coogler had absolutely loved the script, and wanted to get to work on it right away.
[] Maybe you could find someone else? Write-in:

You also had an idea to change Seagate Prison to Ryker's Island, there'd have to be slight changes to some background information... but it wouldn't be too much.

[] Keep it as Seagate Prison.
[] Change it to Ryker's Island.

After that, you decided to get some more stuff done, before continuing on with the movie.

You can do up to 3 things before getting to casting.

[] Network in Hollywood for Directors (Roll)
[] Network in Hollywood for a specific Director (Roll)
-[] Write-in:
[] Network in Hollywood for Actors (Roll)
[] Network in Hollywood for a specific Actor (Roll)
-[] Write In:
[] Network with Avi Arad. (Roll)
[] Convince Sony to negotiate with the studios (Marvel, Fox, Lionsgate, New Line Cinema) for the rights of a character. (Roll)
-[] Marvel has a vast majority of the characters, maybe you could try to get one? (Medium Roll) Write-in:
-[] FOX has the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Maybe you could get a character from them? (High Roll) Write-in:
-[CANNOT BE VOTED FOR] Lionsgate doesn't have any Marvel comic rights, so you can't get anything from them. (This option is taken away next... turn, I guess)
-[CANNOT BE VOTED FOR] New Line Cinema's Blade rights end this year, so there's no real point in getting them, as the rights will revert back to Marvel next year. (This option is taken away next... turn, I guess)
[] Try to get the rights to some other property (Roll)
-[] Ben 10 seems to be quite the success, maybe you could get the live-action rights to it? (Medium Roll)
-[] The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are a fairly large franchise... maybe you could get the live-action rights to them for your... Spider-verse? (High Roll)
-[] Mortal Kombat has quite a lot of potential with their characters. Sure, they've recently been bought out by Warner Bros, but maybe you could try to get some character rights? (High Roll)
-[] Maybe you could get Danny Phantom from Nickelodeon? It's a bit of a reach, but you might be able to manage it. (Medium Roll)
-[] The Venture Bros have some interesting ideas for superheroes and villains, and you were honestly quite a big fan of the show. Maybe you could get the live-action rights to them? Adult Swim doesn't seem to have anything lined up for any live-action adaptations, so you could probably get it pretty easily. (Low Roll)
-[] GI Joe is a big franchise, and if you somehow managed to get it? You'd be able to get your own version of SHIELD, alongside a bunch of other fun characters. Though, they may take away from the Spider-Man limelight. (High Roll)
[] Participate in interviews and events in order to hype future movies. (Roll)
[] Work on what to do for the next movie.
[] Investigate a bit, see what your competition is up to (Roll)
-[] Marvel
-[] Fox
-[] Warner Studios
[] Promote a character for one of the upcoming movies.
[] See about getting a new Spider-Man videogame made.
-[] Write-in your idea:
_____
PLEASE USE A PLAN FORMAT!

Alright, with that done... I want some ideas for Casting, since that's what we're going to be doing next.

Get high profile actors, get rights to a very popular franchise with loads of interesting characters for cheap, and hype up our amazing script and director.

We can become huge in the industry.

EDIT: Fox still has the film rights to Daredevil until 2013.

Did I call it Rykers Prison? I meant Ryker's Island. Changing that, please change the wording of the vote accordingly, terribly sorry.

Would Venture Bros, TMNT, and Mortal Kombat make sense for the setting we're going for in our Spidey franchise? G.I. Joe I can kinda understand, but I don't know how all these other franchises will mesh with our Spidey movies.

Venture Bros has fairly robust worldbuilding for being a parody, whose Guild of Calamatous Intent and Office of Secret Intelligence are essentially expies of HYDRA/Cobra and GI JOE/SHIELD and could work in that context; TMNT is basically backdoored into Daredevil's backstory, the Ooze that mutated them heavily implied to be what blinded Matt Murdoch, and Mortal Kombat feeds into a number of scenarios, from Secret Wars to storylines revolving around the Hand/Foot.

Now, I'm approaching it from the angle that Sony could use these franchises for utilization of the international markets, expanding its presence overseas before integrating the Marvel and Sony properties into a single franchise that's more than the sum of its parts.

Terentino is going to make a great stylish film. However, Spike Lee can make a new cultural icon. Imagine getting a super hero movie nominated for a serious Oscar.

I'd also like to push black cat, which I think is a strong spin off as opposed to buying a side universe. I think we have lots to work with, not that I mind more Marvel characters.

[x] Plan: Do the Right Film

I was going to vote for SpiderVerse Shogunate, but I think that can wait for a little bit.

[X] Plan: Little Green Bag

It's crazy enough doing a Tarantino movie, there is no need to make this franchise into a mess so fast
We have some good characters, let's use them first, and use them smartly, quality over quantity.
We have Spider-Man, we need more Spider-Man movies after the Luke Cage one, we established some great characters like Black Cat and we have plans to do some Ghost Rider, and eventually S6 movies, it will be a shame not to use them
We can get some individual characters in the start, like Daredevil (which are neatly tied into the "friendly neighborhood'" vibe of characters we are having)
And do the crazy expansion afterwards, it's not like we don't have characters to put in movies

BTW, there is no way the Luka cage movie is not going to be R rated, brutal fight scenes fit this movie much more than other movies we can make, and Tarantino is perfect for this

You know, I'll be honest. I was expecting people wanting us to get Iron Fist from Marvel, so we could do Heroes For Hire later on down the line.

Yeah, I do think we should do it eventually
But first I want to make another spider-man movie, black cat movie and maybe a Daredevil movie, work on our plan for the S6

I think that Ghost Rider should be introduced with Iron Fist, we can make some really interesting stories between them.

I mean... you don't have to make anything with Iron Fist in it directly after getting the rights.

You could do everything else first, maybe teasing him in a post-credit scene or referencing "The Rand heir somehow coming back from certain death"

Yeah, I have no real idea for the casting, other than Luke Cage himself.

I need ideas for:

Stryker, Reva, Shades, Albert Rackham, Cockroach Hamilton, Big Ben Donovan, Curtis Carr, and Moses Magnum.
