Oh, I added another option, purely because I like the idea of the character.

The option is for a Mindworm movie.

I just like the tragedy of the character.
 
Oh, and might I recommend Black Fox, a master jewel thief who canonically trained both Black Cat, and her father, for a possible mentor to Felicia Hardy's Black Cat, if we give her a movie?

Just an idea.

Can we have the Shocker being in the movie? Since he's in prison and Luke Cage is supposed to be in Prison. Just to remind people that they are in the same universe.

Don't see a reason why he couldn't, and it could definitely help feed into his recruitment scene in the Post-credits of SM1.

I like Luke Cage, honestly, I'd say kick off Luke Cage and Black Cat with overlapping production schedules and more modest budgets, and get them both out in a year or so. Both of them should have a smaller effects budget and we can do them with a tight cast. Drop Luke Cage in February and Black Cat in July or something like that

So what's the idea for the luke cage movie?
The truth is that I do not know much about the character beyond that he is super resistant (he can tank bullets) and not much else ..

    You decided to do a Luke Cage, as he definitely deserved his very own movie... and you needed to keep the rights to the Luke Cage property.

    You figured that it'd be a Crime movie, set in a prison, Seagate Prison to be specific. You'd also have it be a drama, like the Spider-Man movie was.

    Now, you had to figure out the exact plot for the movie. Thankfully, you had a few ideas for it.

    [] Carl Lucas was arrested for a crime he didn't commit, and sent to Seagate Prison due to his 'crimes', while there he was experimented on against his will, and gained superhuman strength and incredible durability. After this, Carl tried to use his new-found powers to escape the prison, but failed, getting put in a special ward of the prison, filled with various other people with superhuman abilities, where he has to either make friends with the more powered people, or fight them to take the spot of the top dog.
    [] Maybe you could go for the original plot of the Power Man Comics, Carl Lucas was arrested for a crime he didn't commit, and sent to Seagate Prison for his 'crimes', where he spent quite a few years. He eventually volunteered to be part of an experiment with Dr. Noah Burnstein in exchange for parole from this prison. We spend most of the movie inside of the prison, getting to know Carl, and having people give him the nickname Luke Cage. It ends with him gaining his powers, and being released back to Harlem.
    [] We start in Seagate Prison, later learning that Carl Lucas was framed for a crime he didn't commit. And watch as he goes about his daily prison life, before gaining his powers in an illegal experiment. A few days later, a riot breaks out in the prison, and Carl Lucas makes a deal with the warden to put a stop to it, in exchange for parole. And so, we spend the final act of the movie, watching Luke Cage fight a bunch of murderous prisoners.

    Yeah, I... uh, didn't have many ideas for the Luke Cage movie. I kind of had my hands tied when you voted for a prison movie... it wouldn't really count as a prison movie, if it didn't take place in a prison. So, you guys just write-in whatever you want for the movie.

    Hmm, is there anything for a mix of the 3?

    Maybe Cage along with his new superpowered friends become a Government controlled Stiker Squad who work for the law? Could showcase how hard life is, Lucas's life, have the majority of the superpowers become his friends, maybe have the big bad be one who serves as a dark mirrior to Cage and either is killed or escapes too fight him again.

    I mean, you could do it as a write-in.

    Though, that doesn't seem it'd fit as a Prison movie.

    Is my favorite so far. Sets him up with an interesting complex relationship with law enforcement and criminals after, which puts him in a good place for a heros for hire. Gets us some super fights for super fans, and very few sets and minimal complex city shots.

    Casting is going to be extra essential for such a close in film.

    We might even get The Shocker back having gotten into the storage, or also getting an upgrade from the experiments. Shocker, now with innate lightning powers, something that can still hurt Bulletproof Luke.

    Try to make it seem almost like a wrongfully convicted biopic till the riot.
