There was a Spi...dea. (Sony, Spider-Man Producer Quest)

By that logic (of us setting up a Battle Couple) there's no reason we couldn't do the same with Gwen, and have her become Carnage [precedent (2006)] or Spider-Gwen [early (2014)] somewhere down the line.
For Felicia it would be a foregone conclusion that she will become Black Cat, whereas Gwen only gets powers in certain continuities. There is also the fact that Gwen might be seen as too similar to MJ from the Raimi trilogy.

I'd personally prefer not introducing Felicia until we're closer to our characters being adults and not teens, I'd prefer a much more outright platonic female friendship relationship for Peter with Betty Brant than the flirty Felicia. Though its certainly not a deal breaker, I just prefer an awkward Peter.

There's simple things we can do to make her stand out from Dunst's take, like making her a tomboy drummer and/or super into science. Have a scene where the both of them lose their composure to openly geek out over science shit and just being ScienceBros before realizing they're in mixed company, and trying to get themselves back under composure.

Basically, give her some quirks that make her standout and people are not going to confuse the two much.

Even if they're friends, what makes you think Felicia couldn't get Peter super flustered at the drop of a hat? Like, it's not to hard for me to figure them some flavor of Vitriolic Best Buds that trade these comments back and forth out of some weird contest they've been running for awhile; maybe reference that it started back in Peter's more incel like days, and it's become something of a coping mechanism for the both of them as Peter's struggled to get better after Uncle Ben.

You have a point, but I still consider Gwen and MJ to have been overexposed and we should give a less utilized love interest some time in the spotlight.

So I would call dips on writing part of the Shockers Origin Story, specifically where and why he builts his gloves (not why he needs them, but why go with shock gloves, when you could built a matter-desintegration gun or something) because i thought about writing a tinker fic for a while and thats good training, so everyone cool with that? Some specifics I should know?

[X] Plan Prison Break

Gwen Stacy for the main love interest with Felicia being a wrench in that relationship most of the time? I'm in.

Shocker is gonna be awesome! We will reinvent Shocker as a villain who deserves respect!

-[X] OsCorp.
-[X] Write-in: Herman, would have died if not for Spider-Man. Angry, he takes this as a personal failure and just as he's getting down in the dumps, he makes it to prison where he's lauded something of a celebrity among the inmates. It's there, we see the wheels start turning as a grin slowly grows across his face...with his knowhow, he's gonna be running the Riker's Island in practically no time at all.
-[X] Yes, of course there is. (Who?)

-[X] J. Jonah Jameson is simply a must-have, if you want to do the Daily Bugle justice... maybe you could get J.K Simmons to reprise his role.
-[X] Felicia Hardy might be able to show up as a flirty friend of Peter's, and tease the eventual Black Cat.
-[X] Flash Thompson would be interesting to have show up too. He's practically a staple among Spider-Man supporting characters.
-[X] Eddie Brock as one of Peter's potential co-workers in the Daily Bugle could work, and it'd tease a future Venom down the line.

Firstly, you had chosen for the family member to be Herman's older brother, a kind man doing petty theft and robbing gas stations to pay for Herman's schooling, not wanting his little brother to become a criminal like he was.

Herman would be robbing Alchemax, a subsidiary of Oscorp, nearly escaping by the skin of his teeth, if not for Spider-Man catching him at the last moment. Angrily, he takes this as a personal failure, and just as he's getting down in the dumps, he makes it to the prison, where he's lauded as... a celebrity amongst the inmates, and here's where we see the wheels begin to turn in his head, as a grin slowly grows across Herman's face, after this would be the meeting with his unseen conspirators.

You had decided to make Gwen Stacy Peter's love interest, while having Aunt May, J. Jonah Jameson, Felicia Hardy, Flash Thompson, and Eddie Brock show up in various scenes throughout the movie.

And now... it was time for you to get the script.

Script Roll: 84.

And what would you know? It was actually really good, telling the story of Spider-Man and The Shocker with an ease and a passion, you could feel the joy the scriptwriter felt, as they wrote the script for this movie.

You especially liked the little scene that Peter and J. Jonah Jameson had together, before Peter had to quickly leave, after hearing about The Shocker robbing a bank.

The same could be said for the scene of Shocker and Spider-Man meeting for the first time, it just seemed like a fun time, even with all of the dramatic moments within it.

And Shocker's reveal was especially... shocking, you feel like all the non-comic fans are going to be absolutely surprised that bombastic, kind Herman was secretly The Shocker this entire time! The writer had made sure to make him seem somewhat unimportant to the movie, but not unimportant enough to have the viewers completely forget about him. You even thought of sneaking in some references to the fact that he's The Shocker during his talks with Peter, maybe a bruise where Spider-Man previously punched Shocker, and a few other things?

Do you want to reroll this?

[] Yes, reroll the 84.
[] No, are you crazy?

After that, you had sent the script over to the higherups, and...

Appeal Roll: 73.

Finance Roll: 97.

They had seemed to be incredibly interested in the script, liking it quite a bit, and sending a crap-ton of money to actually get the movie made. It was awesome!

You had managed to get the bigwigs upstairs interested in your reboot, so that was good... no, it was great!

Now you had to get to actually casting the characters.
____

Alright, just a quick vote here, probably only gonna be a few hours. Also, a discussion... I want some ideas for casting for: Spider-Man, Shocker, Gwen Stacy, Aunt May (Because she was always going to appear), J. Jonah Jameson (In case we roll low enough to not get JK Simmons), Felicia Hardy, Flash Thompson, Eddie Brock, and Herman's unnamed older brother (Fairly important to the backstory of Herman).

[X] No, are you crazy?

I'm tempted to get greedy and roll again to see if we get a 90-100 but we have a good script like that so I guess I'll ask a few questions
1. When is it late if we ask for another script?
2. If the other is bad, will this one be used that is not?

in terms of actors ... well, I'm not very knowledgeable about that world so I don't think I will comment on anything ...
there is always the original cast (personally i like emma stone as gwen)

1. After... I'd say, three scripts, then you start going over time.

2. The first script can always be used, even with a reroll. It's not like you're putting it in a shredder, you're just putting it away in... like, a drawer or filing cabinet.

And sure, the original cast could be used, I'm just not the most knowledgeable on actors either, and wanted other options to pad it out instead of having like... two options for each actor.

Okay, don't pay too much attention to me but from what I remember (from how he acted in kick kass) I think aaron taylor-johnson (I liked his role in kick kass, I really believed his character) I think he could be a good Peter parker ... if I know what they are going to say, but first watch the first kick kass again (or at least the first half hour or 15 minutes)

example image

Andrew Garfield as Shocker?

Yes, personally it seems to me that he can do good as Peter, but seeing as that people would not like him to be Peter, I think it could be

edit:
To give a little more of a sales pitch, Aaron in Kickass acts as much as a character who tries to be funny as one who is serious, he also has some experience in acting like a nerdy teenage boy who is a hero and in recording fights ( last year in that timeline I would have recorded the first kickass and just in two years the second will be released)

and I think the only bad thing would be that it is possible that some recognize it as kickass (which at least where I am from was quite well received)

Yeah, if we reroll the script, chances are we get a lower result. Sure, we can choose the original, but we'll burn favor with the executives, which we currently have a lot of. I don't think wasting it is the best option in this case. Hopefully we get some better rolls on other stuff, or at least we will be able to reroll them more with the favor of the executives.

Remember Peter isn't a nerdy teenage boy like in most movie tropes, he's also troubled and has a lot of anger in him, conflicting morality and struggles in choosing to do the right thing (but still eventually does so anyways).
ehh, in a part the friend who is a hero also offers him a place in the "mafia" and all he can ask for, all he has to do is deliver and let the father of the girl he likes die (who she's a much better hero than him).
and at the end after the girl's father was killed, he appears with a jetpack and submachine guns, killing anyone who crosses his path and who is her enemy and then fighting with fists until he fainted with her ex-friend.

Anyway, I think you should see the first 15 minutes of the movie and then since daddy is killed (a scene that almost makes me cry)

Spider-Man, Shocker, Gwen Stacy, Aunt May (Because she was always going to appear), J. Jonah Jameson (In case we roll low enough to not get JK Simmons), Felicia Hardy, Flash Thompson, Eddie Brock, and Herman's unnamed older brother
Peter Parker: Charlie Row, Alfie Allen
Gwen Stacy: Shailene Woodley, Hailee Steinfeld, Maya Hawke
Felicia Hardy: Hailee Steinfeld, Maya Hawke, Sophie Turner
Flash Thompson: Dacre Montgomery
Aunt May: Lena Headey, Aubrey Plaza
Herman Shultz: Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Holland
Herman's Brother [Marty Schultz? [1][2]]: Macaulay Culkin, Joshua Jackson, Jared Keeso, Bill Hader
JJ Jameson [if JK Simmons unavailable]: John C. McGinley, Hugh Laurie, Mandy Patinikin
Eddie Brock: Karl Urban, Jensen Ackles, or Christian Kane

EDIT: My reasoning to have most of the cast be on the younger side of things is to keep a better retention over them as they progress through their careers (while also potentially playing into the characters being in Senior year), but I will admit I struggled a bit with who to choose as Peter; Gwen and Felicia depend more on how we choose to play their quirks off one another, Flash is a bully who struggles at home (personal life) and school (academic) who was friends with Peter at one point (616 canon) who gets better after High School and his enlistment with the Army, Aunt May is a choice between Stern and Fun, Herman is supposed to be out of left field which Cherry was for Holland and absolutely would be for the audience if Radcliffe was Shocker, Herman's brother being any one of these could open up different interpretations of how he's involved with crime (Culkin- drugs, Jackson- Mafia, Keeso- Sports Bookie, Hader- Mental Illness), JJ Jameson depends on how he interacts with people, and Eddie on where in the Anti-Hero spectrum he falls.
