---[] Southern Worlds Edge mountain (North of Karak Zorn): (You are allied with a single moderate-sized hold in your area which will produce things your clan can not, while also calling on a Throng that can range from 300-800 Dawi) (Will be at war with the orcs and depending on your starting choice will either see you hunted or trying to clear out your hold where you go from there is up to you.) (Your most common enemies have been the urks and goblins along with the Tomb kings and maybe a few lizardman but that's about it)
--[] Secondary clan selection: The clans that follow you, can have different or the same skills as yours, their warriors are determined by who you select there is a limit but to reach it will cost you a lot to reach the cap, Also the clans get smaller the more of them you have.

Thankfully the Rings and grudges quest has reached a happy balance for me so that one will continue.
Praise thr Ancestor Gods for that!
Now out of all the quests I have started sadly many of them have been abandoned now, the only one I plan on continuing is rings and grudges which will run alongside this one.
Its better than none continued at all, also how are you doing this!? You are expanding the Dawi Template by a margin, hells i am happy i get to interact with this

Hi guys madslayers probably asleep right now so I'll just give you a rundown on some of the rules with the start up selections.

You are correct and now that I am not running on coffee, I realise that I forgot to mention that you lent me a hand with this. So thank you, probably have a greater overall quality thanks to all your help.

But with how many mechanics he tied to the clans I'm rather shocked he didn't expect us to go all-in on them

I thought it was a possibility but a very distant one, why I offered a few juicy things to grab like larger starting populations and some better force Multipliers like the runic artillery and gromril sets (The basic ones were there just in case someone wanted quantity over quality). As the clans only bring a few additional order troops like the hearth guard and other variants and their skills, your overall hold population depending on your vote the Ancient hold offering 600 Dawi adults split between all the clans or 500 for the expedition with the same split with the free option.

So can we have have the ancient hold with sky titans would that be under engineer or runesmith etc...

With the sky titans if you went with that start you would get their tech through the engineers though you will have the very basic options of that tree without one, or you could just import it from an allied hold(If they have an engineer clan.) If your asking how you get sky titans then it requires you to start in the mountains of mourn and then choosing between either a relatively friendly ogre tyrant or the hard to get moving sky-titans.

This is true, additional clans bring extra dawi warriors for your holds use, you won't get direct control over them as their linked to the various ancestor gods and guilds as well as their clans, they will defend the hold without issue but if you want them for offensive actions you have to offer them an incentive or be on good terms with them.

Lots of coffee and an overactive imagination and sometimes ImperialBriton will suggest something and then, well this is how this entire quest started only I took it a few steps further and added a few extra areas and a general theme to the quest but ya he mentioned this like halfway through my first quest (Flamespear) and I been building notes on it ever since.

Also gonna go and clear up the misunderstanding on the cost of the extra clans and imp is correct that you can only have up to either 5 or 4 specialised clans brought along depending on the start, at least it only 1 thing this time, :oops: I always miss something thanks for clearing that up Imp.
 
Also just added something for the Naggaroth location as I felt that it did not get enough positives to actually consider it. (This is just something I considered now and it really may need some rebalancing but it could be interesting. Plus I read Grudge Bearer recently so figured it might be a nice touch for Snorri to get a possibility of killing Malakith, and Imp brought him up so that pretty much how this came to be now.) 🤷‍♂️

So we get White Dwarf Grommy that helps out in the Naggaroth Hold that rely on chance. He'll probably be really powerful but Dice has F-ed quests before so I am iffy of relying on it. Even though I have a great idea for a Ranger clan build for Naggaroth, I doubt anyone would pick it when we have Sky Titans as an option.
 
True, I knew it would sort of be a loosing battle. But I also remember a similar thing when I went over the Mountains of Mourn idea with Madslayer a year ago.

If anything that's just the plot for another quest. Be it yours, mine, Slayers, or anyone's.

Something for the future then. If anyone decides to host it I'll gladly show up.
 
I've got to say this is awfully passive for an Starting vote, Madslayer quest. Usually theres a lot of blood sweat and tears, with most votes coming within razors edges of one another over where we are starting, and people swearing oaths to refuse to continue following it unless their one wins.

I'm looking at Dawi change the game & Rings and Grudges, in particular for this. That first vote for both of them made my squables during Rakidum look like childsplay (the reason its an engineer themed quest for the latter was that the Misty mountains runesmith vote was so large we couldn't split the Ered Luin vote).

I don't think we've ever had a starting action be this one sided before either.
