Don't you mean the 'original' version? Because that movie and the other early installments were dark as heck. Littlefoots mother dying, Doc getting maimed, etc were pretty edgy for those movies.The darker and edgier modern day reboot.
If I remember correctly, that short was part of a larger scene which ended with all the dinosaurs going extinct.

Since you guys selected Curiosity as your first emotion your first action (Unless using a Tyrant point) is basically ooh whats that do, instead of violence. So as long as it isn't attacking you, you aren't hungry, and the choice isn't itself violent. You would see no point in hurting it. You aren't the big one after all.
