Do you intend to start giving updates from our dinosaur's perspective or will this quest be mostly from the human's perspective? Also what was complication for our tongue, I don't think it's been mentioned yet.

Henry Wu couldn't look away.
He tried, but his body just wouldn't obey him as he found himself lost within the hatchlings eyes.
He felt like he was a canary standing in front of a lion, like a mouse caught by a cat.
Except he wasn't caught by it's paws, he was trapped in it, her, eyes.
They were a cobalt blue, and they caged him as though he was in Alcatraz.
In fact the only reason he was able to look away was because she did first.
You didn't understand.
You didn't understand why the two legged creature wouldn't look away.
You didn't understand why the air smelled sharp and hurt your nose with it's cold chemical scent.
You didn't understand as every impulse in your body told you you were in danger, that you should be running, that the cold chemical scent meant danger, meant that you should be running as fast and as far as possible before you stopped being able to breath at all.
But as you heard the cracking of an egg, of what was to be your sibling.
You couldn't help but want to understand, to know why the smell made you want to run, to know why the strange creature wouldn't look away, you wanted to know everything.
So as you waddled your first steps towards your sibling, stretching your fin to break the last of fragile egg you had just been birthed from you couldn't help but be amazed as you came close just as they broke their own prison. As cracks climbed the egg like water as they flowed over the egg, makeing something beautiful even as it shattered.
It was strange though, even as they broke free and crawled from their egg they seemed... less then you, smaller than you. More tired from the small feat of breaking from the egg, slumping towards slumber almost immediately even as you inched closer.
However it did not matter as you licked the last of the strange pink substance from their black and purple scales, as you wound your longer form around her much smaller body.
Even so you couldn't help but wonder, why? Curiosity pulsing in you very blood as you drifted into the oddly satisfying act of cleaning your sibling.
Henry was, surprised? Yes that was right, he was very surprised, he thought as the tried to wet his very dry mouth. He wasn't sure why one of the Hybrids was so much bigger than the other. As far as the math worked out they, should have been within a couple of inches of each other.
He did his best to not think of the startling blue that seemed to almost glow even as it cleaned it's weaker sibling off.
"Henry?" He nearly jumped as one of his fellow scientists (a elderly man by the name of Monroe) tapped him on the shoulder. Right there were other people in the room.
"Yes Dr. Monroe?" he asked doing his best to hide just how -er preoccupied he had been with the subject.
"I was asking what we were going to name them?"

In regards to John's not being there; in this instance I honestly think he would have if he could have. He claimed to have been present for the birth of every dinosaur on the island after all. Plus even though they're hybrids they're not super-evident as such; and are honestly probably quite cute from his perspective.
Edit: Let's face it, the Indominus and the I-Raptor both looked highly unnatural. Snaggle-toothed and oddly proportioned. Our dino and her sibling are both much less disconcerting to look at. We're not something that will give the parents of children nightmares.
Speaking of children, I kind of want to see them run into the kids during the first movie. Maybe even distract Rexy before she pushes the car over the edge. Since we're primarily T-Rex she may even try to take care of us; as in the books she had an "adopted daughter" that died during an earlier monsoon by getting caught in a drainage pipe in the lagoon of their enclosure and drowning.

In this iteration, he's kind of leery about hybrids and wasn't very enthused even by just patching the holes with frog DNA. Another reason is that I highly doubt he was there for the birth of every dinosaur on site B. The main park I have no doubts about but Site B seams like a bit of trip while he's still managing the construction of the main park. So part of it is personal reluctance and another part bad scheduling means he doesn't show up for the Hybrids.

Jurassic World Raptors: Simple Alpha-Neumeric Code Names + A relevant color (Blue, Charlie, Echo, Delta)
Game Hybrid: Obscure name based on a species of monster most people have probably never heard of and requires an explanation to recognize that it's not just meaningless gibberish.

Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend. Granted it wasn't a great movie, but it was alrightish.
How many people are aware that movie actually exists? You say the movie 'kind of tanked'; It doesn't take many people to have knowledge of an obscure subject to make a movie about it, all you really need is a writer, director, producer, or the like to have enough knowledge and interest to assemble and get a film through production.
You're not making much of a case for this 'Mokele-mbembe' being something that ranks above 'obscure local folklore'.
