[X] Plan Go Big or Go Home v 2.0

I want that human intelligence boost and the ability to converse with them. Oh and the regen is pretty sweet too.

[X] Plan Go Big or Go Home v 2.0

Honestly not a huge fan of either of these. The camo, taser, and tongue are all far more suited to an ambush predator and yet we're going for Titan size.

The immortality and regen are fine, but the intelligence, thumbs, and vocal mimicry just seems like we're going for an oversized human.

Overall just seems like a giant Predator.

fuck it going with Plan Go Big or Go home...were going to be the most fucking dangerous asshole on this island and die standing...if we can kill the biggest beasties or wound them enough to prove our dominance ill be happy.

Well with 2.0 we'll be crazy smart from the human dna, and able to ambush stuff like a boss thanks to the active camo. We might even be able to lure prey/threats into better position to be ambushed thanks to being able to mimic speech/sounds (not sure what the range on that is, there are some birds that can accurately mimic an incredible range of noises).

With both plans we'll be one of the biggest predators on the island (as big or slightly bigger than the Spinosaurus) once we're fully grown, and the frog tongue lets us pretty much snatch smaller prey (humans for sure, and some of the smaller dinos) from stealth and chomp them to death, but 2.0 gives us regen so we can recover far better from any injuries we get from guns or fighting other dinos.

Edit: Oh and we'll be one of a pair, so I think it's safe to assume that the other dino in our pair will have everything that we have. If we don't go all in on the Tyrant side of things like Indomius did, chances are pretty good (excellent imo if we go King) that we'll be able to cooperate with them and work as a team.

Got just about everything right there, with the mimication you will be able to mimic just about every other dinosaur on the island. You won't exactly know what each sound means, but you can mimic it for the most part. The hardest thing to do with the voice mimication will be to mimic human language, and that's mostly because your mouth wasn't really made with it in mind.

With active camo you will be only slightly less stealthy than the indonimus and that thing was practically the jump scare king so you shouldn't have any issue sneaking. The tongue will get progressively more useful the bigger you get, at the beginning (When you are finally released into the wild) you will be a juvenile and it would be mostly useful for snacking on compies, but will get more use once your large enough to grab full grown humans and other mid sized dino's like velociraptors.

Regen would be one of your trump cards if only because with my current notes, it would essentially allow you to recover from life ending injuries. Since you know losing a leg for a wild animal usually means you get killed really quick.

As for your twin dino, I'm sad to say it is well and truly destined to not leave the lab alive, unless you guys pull a truly inspired write in option to save it.

Hey @Vault166 is it possible to breed with other dinos
Ah at this point in time I have no concept for how to nerf breeding so at the moment it is a no. Mostly because like I said in a previous post, I don't want to have to deal with an entire species of murder Dino's loose on the world.

If you guys have any other question feel free to post them I'm happy to either answer or scramble to find an answer for something I never thought of.

Ooh, nice! That'll be super handy for luring other dinos into ambushes :D

Sweet :D

Very true. Even injuries to teeth can be lethal, just far slower than losing/breaking a leg, since it makes it much harder to kill/eat prey.

Damn :(

looks like the crazies of the thread will have to pull some damn ingenious methods if we want a sibling on our side...it would be wonderful if we could have another like us.

but doing so is going to need all our damn creativity, and kids can be damn well creative if they want too, add in murderous dinosaur insctincts and our possible unaging ability?

also the fact that predators in the dinosaur realm have proven to very fairly intellgent IRL mostly due to either studying habits of their prey or from instinct, and then grow upon that? not to mention the fact that while not smart like a human or ape, but intellgent like a wolf or a paticularly clever bear and such.
what im saying is even being a child/toddler in intellgence will give us a massive advantage across the field, more so as we grow and experience the world.

well...our island that is.

So we're playing as a giant omnivorous apex predator as smart as a child with regeneration and immunity to age. How did this get past censors and who do I need to thank for being responsible for that?

i think we would get smarter over-time as we begin to develop and evolve over the centuries.

that or become the oldest living being on the planet thats not a true jellyfish.

I don't see any reason to change from my original vote.

[X] Plan Go Big or Go Home v 2.0

Very true. Even injuries to teeth can be lethal, just far slower than losing/breaking a leg, since it makes it much harder to kill/eat prey.

And look at it this way: Regen + Stealth + Frog Tongue (plus Vocal mimicry) is a major synergy combo. Unless our superpredator needs to regenerate the tongue, all she needs to do is be able to crawl away from battle, find someplace to hide, and bide her time while healing. The trick is that the amount of time doesn't matter so long as there's food nearby. Using a combination of stealth, mimicry to lure in prey, and a tongue that allows for the snatching of prey from a distance, Superdino can just lay around and let the food come to her, keeping her stomach content while she just lies around and lets the body recover from whatever injury might otherwise make starving to death a genuine concern.

And that's after you get past its Titanic size which ensures that few things are going to want to pick a fight with her in the first place.

All of which leads to the immortality ensuring she can make the most of what intelligence she'll be sporting. Even if she's only got the intelligence of a human child, long term she'll be able to more than make up for it with all-too-valuable life experience.

Point/Quest Mechanics
Choices:
Any option you choose (Including write ins) will be evaluated as either Low danger, Medium danger, or High Danger

Low to medium danger option will be selected based on the narrative.

High Danger choices will be decided with a roll of a D100. the higher the number the better you do.

100-90 means you passed with flying colors and had no issue
90-50 means you passed but you had trouble
50-30 means you have a new scar
30-20 means you lost a limb
20-1 means you are barely alive and plot armor is the only reason for your survival.

Points
The three point type will work in the following ways:

If you are in a situation where you can't come up with a solution you can spend 1-3 points depending on how dire the situation. Depending on which of the three point you spend will determine your behavior and how you solve it. With Tyrant points you would simply solve the the issue with incredible violence for example.

You can also spend a point alongside a write in, in order to limit the damage (or increase it if you feel like it)

They can also be used for High Danger choices in place of a dice roll.

Earning points is based on how you vote to act throughout the quest, at end of each session I will go through and examine your choices. Based on that you will either earn a Tyrant Point, a King Point or a Prototype Point.

Prototype points unlike Tyrant or King points, will require a write in. Mostly because, they are literally the definition of what makes your character unique and will cause character development depending what is written. (Thanks to the Curious at heart trait, every time you use Prototype points, your actions will be dyed in its colors.)

Once character generation and the prologue are done, you will start the quest with 1 point in each category.

Edit: I will also keep track of your current choices and their effects on your personality with the Personality Drift counter. Take note that leaning too heavily on one point type may cause personality issues.

Fore example leaning to heavily one Tyrant Points would make you more prone to violence, while King Might make it harder for you to justify killing other things in order to live, or make you more prone to using cold logic instead of emotion.

Possibly scared of us I believe Henry would blame someone for this as he definitely knows someone was tampering with this and even he would not go that far…yet he was just testing "minor" hybrid genes right

Pretty much hit the nail on the head, Admitedly one of the options for the next vote will make him less of an... I can't think of any good discripors that aren't curse words but you get the idea. Either way if this is revealed Henry will backpeddle and blame everyone but himself (Mostly because he didn't do it, and panic because holy crap who put human dna into this land mine!)

I kinda put it as well Someone who's not Henry went too far on the hybrid gene because Henry would only do that if he was forced too like the JW director did to him

aye, i would LOVE to nail Henry to the wall...and if possible keep [SIBLING] alive.

but god-damn lets hope we can do King and Prototype moves, i dislike tyrant for a reason...but hey if going Doom-Slayer on some fuckers who DESERVE the "too-dumb-to-live" prize...might as well if its for a truly good cause.

But what if instead our super-dino recognized Henry as her 'Father' and adopted him into a role where he's guilted into keeping both dinosaurs alive and as result has a pair of the worlds deadliest children? :V
Sadly not and option, mostly because Henry isn't the parental type, He could do anything from consider you to be his most grand creation, to little more than another expirement, or send him on mid life crisis spiral, but convincing him to consider you his children just isn't in the cards.

yeah thought this wouldn't be the case...but still-

the idea of us learning the basic alphabet and math as well as very basic word structures and stuff (basically elementary school stuff up to maybe 3rd or 4th grade via mitosis and watching/learning as we grow up) and then suddenly people start to realize these dinosaurs arent exactly dumb...and it gets more and more disturbing as evidence pops up.

gets to the point raptor guy comes in, and if we manage to encounter him in our youthful escapead's...well...intresting times i bet.
