this leaves us with 15 advantage reduces cost to 25 and efficient production line will reduce it to 24 after advantages and flaws cancel out there will be 4 advantage left

question for @Jax how bad is 1 flaw?
 
reducing cost by 1 needs 5 advantage
pushing speed up by 1 needs 5 advantage
adding 1 compartment needs 3 advantage

In that case, I want to do this to reduce the Cost down more to meet the requirements better:

Combined with Efficient Production Line, this would take us down to meeting the Cost Requirement of not being over 25 whilst still keeping nine Advantages once the Flaws are taken into account.
 
Not that bad. Maybe the seats on the bridge are a bit to hard if you sit more than two hours on them.
that sounds like the kind of thing that could be fixed with a few hundred credits at most in which case I'm going to change my vote

is there any advantage from pushing the cost down to 24 instead of down to 25?

so 24 cost and 1 flaw vs 25 cost and 4 advantage

the real problem is I'm not sure we have the data to figure out how many advantages/flaws 1 cost is worth because while we can purchase -1 cost for 5 advantage their is almost certainly some inefficiency there
 
Costs down by 3.

We end up maintaining our "boutique" brand of being "a better than standard experience" while still being affordable.
 
After Efficient Production Line is applied we will have cost 27, we also have a +19 advantage right now and do not want to spend more of it.

I think we should push to get that cost down to 25 or reasonably close.
Maybe spend an advantage to make sure the energy doesn't blow because of that 'emergency line' thing we did so many moons ago?
How does that production line trait work again? What tab is it under?

Basically the best option. It is a decent enough ship already I think, just cutting costs down and leaving a pocket of general advantage. I could see springing for a compartment though.

We got screwed hard enough with compartments earlier that I really want to buy some more. This is supposed to be the base model, remember? And frankly, I don't see the need to beat the price point instead of matching it.
