Industrialization Quest

This would be someone she introduces to us, people. Not Genevieve.

If you want Genevieve, write-in would be the better vote for that.

(Also really guys? Just going to go for the first waifu? We even voted to keep our options open when it was asked at the time. Vote for someone new, someone different!)

[X][Wife] Someone with resources and connections.
[X][Wife] Someone I can get along with.

Resources are more important than intelligence IMO. We have the research side reasonably covered, but we need someone to cover our weak spot in politics more than someone to help where we're already strong. Our other weak spot (military) is already covered by our family.
Also who is Genevieve again?
The tax collector we're friends with. She's not nobility, so it'd be a real political challenge to choose her.

I don't think I've ever seen that adjective and Google is giving very weird results. I have an idea from context clues, but anyone willing to spell out the definition?

****

[X][Wife] Someone with resources and connections.

I'd say this is slightly more important than the wife being intelligent, but we're probably not in a position to marry much above our station so it might end up a wash.

Getting along with the wife is important, but that's not a good thing to be looking for since it's a basic requirement for any potential candidate. Unless it's referring to "clicking from the get go" rather than something more like "can learn to get along"

[X][Wife] Someone intelligent and capable.

We need those so we cab focus on study and making news invetions!

Very true. Worst comes to worst, we can choose not to pursue her.

@Rockeye Not choosing an option would not make the person the opposite right?

Like not choosing getting along with not make her impossible to like, or not choosing intelligent would not make her as dumb as a brick, right?

We are going to need a lot of different resources and we will making political waves in the near future. Having someone to get us access to those resources or who knows the right people is going to be far more important long term than someone who can help us with our projects.

That mystery, at least, is explained when the hostess greets you and says that she greatly admires your commitment to the Dove of Mercy. She's found out about your gifts to the church of Shallya somehow. Hanna leads you to a table set with drinks and snacks and piles of unfamiliar manuscripts. You read a few titles - Collected Tales of Lumeria and their God, Khysia; On the Nature of Kami; Ionian Demigods: A History.

All religious books. You probably could have guessed. You're introduced to the others at the table - Hanna's brother, who seems to be asleep, two local middle-class, a scribe and a tailor's daughter, and an anxious-looking Priest of the crafting god Dreselin, who took offense to your attempts at metal casting. If She is warning this young man against you, you can't tell. He shakes your hand all the same.

Hmm, a worth while meeting I think. If not for the immediate benefits, then because it means we now have people to talk to about the Gods, which will probably be helpful in the future.

As for cutting down the social events, I sympathize, but hesitate because I feel the social events have actually been pretty important to us in figuring out goals, and in making this more than an invention game. I feel anything less than four is going to create significant difficulties for us going forward.

[X][Wife] Someone who can take care of herself.
[X][Wife] Someone intelligent and capable.

These two stick out to me. We need someone intelligent if we are going to get along and be compatible. She doesn't need to be a genius, but she needs to be able to hold a good conversation with us, appreciate what we are doing, and be able to be our partner in what we are trying to achieve.

Someone who can take care of herself sounds like a martial focused wife, which is also probably important, in that it fills a weakness we have in ourselves.

I think 4 social actions is quite great and helps with building up our understanding of the characters, but maybe focus on 1-2 of them and keep the rest as a shorter summary?

[X][Wife] Frankly, yes, someone attractive.
