[x] I only care for random encounter
-[x] Case III: The Riddle of Riddle - Digging through the archives for so long has given you a good grasp as to who walked these floors in the last two hundred years. There were mentions of someone, you still remembered. There had been some records history of one of the greatest minds that walked this castle, maybe not as special as Sally-Anne or even Dumbledore, but still … Who was he? (2 Actions)

-[x] Random Encounter – Just… Go and live your life. You don't need to plan everything in your life out. ( 2 Actions)

-[x] Stage II, Dreams of old (Takes 2 Actions) – Coming back into the years of unrelenting war. Basques and Valentino want to go scouting and skirmish the attacker that have been gathering for a month outside their borders. While her older brother wants to keep her far from harm, she is as much a child of their ancestors as he is. No one will be allowed to destroy what her father and her father's father build in these lands.

Personal Actions

-[x] Train, Learn, AchieveCharms ( 2 Actions)
-[x] Train, Learn, AchieveDefence Against the Dark Arts ( 2 Actions
-[x] Do your research Expelliarmus ( 3 Actions)

Ok I disagree with exploring and think we should learn the family magic. Last tiem we did it we actually learned something. Also it is interesting and I like the world building. I am doing 2 random actions becasue i want him to eventually meet someone who can be his friend. riddle because there were a lot of wizards and witches who were talented we can learn from. For personal actions I am just going hard on charms and defense agianst the dark arts. With 3 dice on Expelliarmus and a Dc on a hundred the chances of us not learning it are very small.

As thoroughly uninterested as I am about Quidditch, to the point that I dislike having to hear about the inanity at all, I suppose I could vote for plan coalition, as it includes more stat training than any other plan.
What can you when it's one of our few social actions? I'm sure it will not be horrible as we crack jokes with Terry in the back.

I swear to god. Why the hell are so many people acting like we're fucking Harry and absolutely need to be a god mode sue.

Fear of the quest ending because our guy died?
That's a risk no matter what you do that's dangerous. Still, we don't need to push for the optimal of optimals. We ain't the Trio. We don't constantly throw ourselves into situations that should be death sentences. Honestly from my understanding, the Third Year is actually the safest in general if ya ignore the Dementors. Or if ya get a Patronus.

Edit: Honestly, I feel like some people don't get by the end of 4th year we'll be, skill wise, beyond the average Hogwarts 7th year with minimum effort.

[x] Let´s try Alchemy

-[X] Quidditch Round 2, Hufflepuff vs Slytherin – It's time for the second game of the year and while you have a lot of things that you'd like to focus on, most of the school will be present here. Go and watch the Quidditch Game. It could be interesting and if it is not, well you will be high enough up to watch the clouds instead.

Ok, here is my plan I am taking a wide variety of social actions including Quidditch which would likely be interesting, and for training am taking Expeliermus because it seems like the most useful Mandatory spell to learn for the Dueling club, and I am using one action to start our training in Alchemy, if only because the possibilities of that branch of magic seems awesome (Those Googles and our own Marauder´s Map?! Where do I sign?)

I swear to god. Why the hell are so many people acting like we're fucking Harry and absolutely need to be a god mode sue.

Could you please stop complaining how people are trying to play the game?

Saying that you don't agree with a plan or that your plan is better is fair game.

Constantly complaining about how you don't like how other people play is, at this point, grating and really uncalled for.

Think it'd be safer to use the goggles if occlumency skill was high?
There's probably safer alternatives compared to those things than the goggles.
I'm not opposed to the goggles as I think we should do other projects. Like having the experience to make such an invention, or the practice, is an invaluable experience. Just not right now when we could other stuff like the Wideye Blue potion.

It's also grating witnessing people do conditional actions instead of committing to protego and expelliarmus. However, I didn't bring up this nitpick until I need an example. Whereas DarkKing98 feels certain points need to be restated, or otherwise, people will continue on regardless. Tbf, it's seems people have in fact heard his concerns, but are dead set on a different course of action.

I'd just like to point out that QM has stated we can piroritze spells. That's why my plan's spell votes are the way they are. I don't want to get a lucky Portago roll to complete it in one action and then have an empty personal action.

It's such a bleh thing for half the plans to use it. Just put down two actions with 1 action is too much of a gamble.

I understand that conditionals suck, if they go to overboard than they just expand the plan too much. Honestly, if QM could say what the plan of completing a research faster than there are dedicated does to our personal actions I'd be more willing to get rid of the conditionals.

I don't want to hear I'm complaining from the guy that claims we're failing shit because we chose to get spells instead of trying to grind skills to the max.

1. That wasn't my point. My point was that skills directly have been observed to affect rolls and thus can affect rolls. That, therefore, skills can be prioritized while spells can be delayed a few months. I believe I clarified this.

2. What the hell does that have to do with anything? I was asking for you to stop making the same complaint that you've made multiple times in various rude fashions because they were grating and affecting my enjoyment of the game. And you are saying my request is invalid because I made a point in the mechanics you disagree with?

I'll keep that in mind, but I found your discussions after the last post very civilized and refreshing. I want to see if this works out without bandwagons.

One more thing, if you want to learn spells, please write down how many actions you are investing and in what order you want to learn them.

I am not sure if my plan is the conditional action you were speaking about, but my understanding is that the QM wanted us to write the number of actions taken and then list the spells in order of what we want to try them.

Apologies, I see people do actions that are typical:

[] train, learn, achieve - X but if x succeeds on the first dice then do cat instead

which just bloats the plan. Would it not be simpler just to assign two AP and be done with it?

Simpler, but less effective.

Perhaps the way I did the learning action this would be sleeker?

[] Learn- X actions: spell->spell->spell
with the understanding that they are conditional?

Atm there is still one of the earliest plans leading, with several others having only one vote...that doesn't seem very productive.

@MysteryCPU I'd vote for your plan, if you'd replace Quidditich with...anything else, basically.

[X] Plan Coalition

Do you think it's better to do the Riddle quest? I've basically abandoned the HoM training, so we can do it.
Could do that, too. Not sure, actually. The two random encounters might also help us get to know our MC a bit better, and could provide new insights...so, I'm fine with those, too.

Yeah. I kinda like the idea of just living life a bit and seeing what comes. Keeping them as random unless they another player has the Riddle Quest as the only thing stopping them from voting Plan Coalition.
