New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Array Carving because it sounds pretty interesting. Dao of Peace seems like the dao that the original empire had, keeping the same dao even after facing so many disasters seems pretty cool.

Keep in mind, while high Talent may be tempting, the older choices will be more skilled and it'll take a while to reach there in which we'll face a lot of peril due to the situation we're in. If you want an Intrigue Master, you'd probably want to pick Slowly or At Average Pace.

--[X] Dao of Arete: To be the very best, to excel in all things you set your minds to. An aline path to this place, but one you have fiercely preserved despite the enmity of the Heavens.

Let's try to generate some proper insufferable xianxia protagonists, defy the Heavens, and maximise the number of good seeds we get. The Arete write-in Dao is at the core of this. I want to lean into our alien nature, and picking up some bits of Greek philosophy seems to be a good way to do it.

Note, Arete almost translates as Excellence, but not quite.

@occipitallobe how many of our cultivators need to be working together for our advantage to team work to out way their advantage in individual combat ability assuming equal numbers? How many people can be carried by the 2 headed eagle at any one time?

[ ] Dao of Defiance

Till hope is gone, till strength is gone, striking at the enemy with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in the eye of the Heavens on the last day.
cough Aiel cough

Well shoot, now I can't decide. On the one hand, it doesn't sound like the best idea, maybe? On the other hand, Wheel of Time reference.

Guys think long term. We can learn how to manage the clan, but we can presumably never increase our talent.

Edit: In fact, since the questers are the one making decisions, it arguably doesn't matter how bad he is at running the sect since we can just choose the best decisions.

Guys think long term. We can learn how to manage the clan, but we can presumably never increase our talent.
On the other hand, we'll never reach the long-term if we don't have sufficient short-term survivability, which means immediate skills and combat power is vital. When the heavens themselves plot against us and the world is our enemy, taking the long term potential with low short term power option is risky.

It's definitely playable, if we're careful and make good decisions for how long it takes for our character to scale up, but risky nonetheless.

[X] The Rebel Cause

And well, that's a thing that I like, so I'll vote for it anyway.

Hmmm...

I will admit freely, this is literally Good Guy Xehanort.

-[X] The Dao of Darkness: Many Cultivators seek a transcendent height of power--to cast out all that makes them weak and imperfect for the sake of living a longer life. Fools one and all who are blinded by the light of immortality! You and your kin have been oppressed by the Heavens, struck down by great lightnings and terrible trials for an ancient curse... And yet, you live still--the Heavens have not forgotten you certainly, but you no longer live under its active pogrom. Is it complacency? But even in the lightnings cast down--those who should endure their power still rise in might, your kinsfolk still occasionally stumble upon fortuitous encounters. There is some Shadow to the Heavens--a seed of nascent change brutally suppressed by the grand celestial machine, out of a desire to hold to a stagnant image of history for all eternity. You desire to set it free from its bonds, that it may aid your kinsmen in reforging this realm into a thing of beauty and philosophy instead of a barbaric wasteland. It is a futile task, one that will endure long beyond your life--but there is power to this belief, and if you cannot do it--you can blaze a trail for one who comes after you. As did your master, and his master before him.

-[X] Dao of Compassion:
It is a Path that originates from a different world, and it is the Path that brought your people here long ago. In a world where the individual is supreme, this is a Dao that focuses on others and their needs. People may ridicule it as weak, but you know different. All the different Daos of this world lead to you standing over others on mountains of corpses, enforcing your view of the world. The Dao of Compassion is a path you walk with others, it lifts up those that walk with you rather than push them down. In a world that is whole, such as the one your people once came from, it can unite without oppressing. And as everybody is rising to new heights together marvels and unrivalled beauty will be created. But the Dao of compassion is sensitive to those in need, and so your ancestors found this world crying out in pain, and they were driven to help. You follow that same drive still, the pain and suffering in the world calls to you, pushing you ever further to grow so you can help them grow with you.

Wasn't sure about Intrigue vs. Cultivation Lecturing, they both work well with this Dao. I went with Intrigue both because it helps against betrayals which we are vulnerable to, and because it shows that the Dao of Compassion isn't naïve. You don't just blindly trust people just because you can empathise with the pain in their past. In fact it would make you more sensitive to just how people are broken, so you have an inkling of who might hold betrayal in their heart. And how you can nudge them onto a better path, like working for your lovely spy network.

The xenahort thing is act something that made me not want the plan lol. Ive never played KH and i dont personally want a plan based off a chara i dont know.
