Oh hey! Training with Yamato is actually available this week...huh. Hmm...

One one hand, more brother bonding time.

On the other hand. We don't really need it. It's better points wise. But we can instead use this time to study with Yato, and try to bond with him instead.

While still gaining admittedly lower, but still enough points to pass two education classes.

Hmm...eh. Shrugs.

[X] Plan: Savoring Time
-[X] Train with Yamato
--[X] Mathematics
--[X] History
-[X] Go To The Shop (Does Not Cost AP)

1. I'm fine training with Yato. But if we are going to lose time with our brother soon. May as well do as much as we can with him for now.

2. Especially since unlike Yato, who I don't think we got bond points for training with last time. We have a chance of bonding points every time we interact with our brother.

That and technically speaking. We already spent 1 week with Yato. So...shrugs.

3. Though maybe training our history skill will open up the path to bonding points with Yato? Assuming we hit something that touches upon his history like last time, that he chose not to mention.

I'd be fine with either winning.

4.Can't know what's available, if we never check.

-[X] Train with Yamato

The Kitsune is unlikely to do something soon. So better we train up in other departments to not suck in class and improving Yamato's emotion. Music because I think it would fit and interest for when the Kitsune comes checking we know what she found interesting in us.

Now, I now people will rail against sole training, but I think we should make the attempt as part of preparation with dealing with the Kitsune. I choose stealth as the first of the evasion skills to train.

1. I think you mixed the names up. If the idea is to improve Yamato's emotions.

2. Would prefer art. Since it's one of four classes. But guess music fits Kistune better.

...why not with Yato though? Just trying to understand the thought process. He is technically speaking better at evasion skills than us?

The only thing I can think of would be us practicing alone, as to not make him uncomfortable maybe? But we literally wear him as gloves almost 24/7.

At the very least. Even if he can't do anything. We still spend time with him.

Nope. The plan is for us to raise our Emotion understanding first so it's correct.
Don't both parties when they train get benefits? Like how Hayato and Yato improved their ability to feel during week 1?

Assuming we train him when we are better at it. He gains no extra benefits since it's our class bonus that matters, not skill level.

Yamato would still earn the same. Maybe just different flavor about it.

That's only in trickery, and this bonus is a result of trait. Looking at his stats, he actually has a malus to teaching this branch of skills.
A Monster's Confidence: Your Partner approached you to make the Bond. They've made it clear that they expect you to do "Great Things". Or at least they're confident you can protect them.

Bonus To: Martial Arts And Resistance

Deductions To: Speech And Evasion

Evasion:
-Stealth
-Dodging
-Trickery: 20

So we can't exactly lean on him for help.

[X] Plan Let's get Buff

--[X] Resistance: Mental
--[X] Resistance: Physical
-[X] Go To The Shop (Does Not Cost AP)

Better sooner than later. Once we have a modicum of safety in combat we can work on our other stats.

? How will they get benefits when they both have zero points in it? What am I trying to do here is raising our Interest and other emotion related skills first Then Once they were high enough teach them to Yamato.

Getting some skill in resisting physical attacks sounds wise, and Unyielding Mountain works best when the Resistance Skills are in balance.

I see. Didn't see a malus for his skills, so I didn't check his traits. Makes sense then.

The same way Yato, and Hayato. Who both had 0 in feelings got 17 and 10 in it after week 1.

After they trained together. Us having higher skill points than him in it, literally does not matter.

I actually think trying to train both resistances at this time is suboptimal. We blazed through Resistance: Spiritual because of our collective bonuses, and we'll probably do it again. Therefore, we should do one resistance, and then another skill from a different branch.

Edit: I made a mistake. I was referring to Unyeilding Mountain Technique and not Resistance. In about a week, we went from knowing nothing to be a fresh adept. Considering normal people have a limit of 100, we're about a 2/3's of the way from 'normal,' mastery.

Ahh yes after checking Yato's stat it is true, but look at Yamato's Interest sat. It has a malus on it. We're better off learning it from Yato.

Anyone wanna bet on our bro beating her at her own game with his gigabrain? My gut says that there is a possibility of the fox somehow end up forming a contract with the heiress girl too.

...I find it's ironic that after we got hit by how we would fail our classes, and still will fail our classes.

After Hayato realized that light night cramming won't work. That he still won't study during the weekdays.

Despite knowing that he just convinced the person who normally helps him study, to spend more time socializing, and not doing that as much.

Assuming people try and vote for the Kitsune for the weekend. We will end up still falling short in all classes next week.

Or I guess 1/5, assuming people are actually willing to put in the time to study on one weekend day. Just...sigh.

Guess we'll put it off again, at this rate.

It's still the second week, we don' have to worry about midterms for a while.

Not really the point. It makes him IC look like he's not even bothering to try.

Regardless. @LinkOnScepter question. The 15 requirements. Is that for mid terms, or is it just for the start and it will eventuelly scale up?

I'd try and search for a quote if it was explained. But on phone, and it's running out of battery.

Things are gonna be like that for a bit. It will scale up around Week 10.

I want you guys to be able to do stuff without completely focusing on one thing cause you feel the need to.

As a brother, we have to let our little bro form his own life. That means doing his own thing, so he doesn't constantly have to help his big bro's grades.
...fair enough. I did vote for the convince Yamato to socialize option as well earlier.

And I did say I'd be fine studying with either Yato or Yamato. Will change my plans partner.

...well that's a relief.

Guess I am acting a bit short sighted at the moment. So week 10 huh. Assuming we don't go combat crazy and only focus on that.

We can probably make it. Maybe even match whatever level it's scaled up to. Guessing it'll range from 20- 30. Issue for later.

Still think Hayato could IC be studying more. But that's just me.

Your hand goes to his shoulder, "Yam." He stops walking at the sound of his nickname, turning his full attention to you. You look him in his blank eyes and squeeze his shoulder a bit, "It's true, things in life are risky. Some things aren't easy to do nor see all the way through. But much of the time they end up being so worthwhile. Don't fear risky actions, embrace them, and overcome the odds! That's what being alive is all about."
We're bringing out the big guns.
A soft smile moves your face. His expression doesn't change. For a moment, you start doubting if you got through to him.

[Bond: He's My Best Friend AND Brother; Check Auto Pass]

Then he turns his face back to the hallway with a nod, "I suppose you are right, brother. It'll take some time, but I should be able to dedicate some time to spend mingling with my peers. I would have to make less time for our study sessions. You are aware of this?"
Brotherly love. :)
Your smile widens and you pat him on the back, "Of course! Don't worry about me too much! If there's one thing you know about me, it's how I defy expectations!"
Heh.
He even gave you five of these weird, plastic coins when class was over. He said they were "tokens" and his way to reward you for a job well done.
Gotta find out what those are.
Yato doesn't reply for a few seconds. Then he yells in your head, "To your left!"

You turn your head, body tensed up and ready to block an attack...only to pause as a girl comes over and wraps her arms around you. Her orange locks fall around her shoulders as she starts sobbing into your uniform.
Oh no, we're being attacked with affection.
[Resistance Check: Mental: 0/20: Fail!]

Because holy crap is she beautiful! Every part of her is perfect! Perfectly smooth face with not a blemish in sight. Skin that radiates with the smell of cherry blossom leaves in full bloom. Golden eyes that pierce right into your soul. She's a maiden in full bloom! A girl any guy would fall over their feet to get!
Hmm, I doubt this is just natural beauty.
"Wh...what the fuck?" is your only response as the massive image disappears the moment the girl enters the building. You shake your head and lift your hands to stare at Yato, "What was that thing?!"

[Supernatural: Fundamental: 40]

"A fox spirit," comes the echoing answer, "Or, to use a term you're more familiar with, a 'Kitsune'. But I suggest you refrain from referring to her as such, lest you wish for a quick death."

"Then, she's what you sensed earlier?"

"Indeed, and her presence here is worrying. She is powerful and her kind are known to be extremely cunning, elusive, spiteful, and sadistic. If left unchecked, there's no telling who she might hurt. Not to mention how she could attract the attention of those that are hunting my kind."
Judging by the legends of fox spirits, Yato may not be wrong, but he could also be biased.
"No, my Lord," his stern voice stops you in your tracks, "Her kind are masters of deception. You fell victim to her mental manipulation a few moments ago, did you not? If we were to face her here and now, she'd simply turn the school against us. Though we'd doubtlessly attain victory, it will only result in our ejection from this place. Something I believe you and Lord Yamato wish to avoid. Then there's the fact that we didn't catch a glimpse of her pursuer. Acting too rashly might gain us some unwanted attention. For now, we should return to your dwelling and create a proper strategy."
Yeah, we don't know enough about the situation.
"That we have learned that a Monster does indeed attend this school...

[Yato Empathy Check: Feelings: 10/10: Success!]

....and that we may have found a new ally."

[Hidden Monster Discovered!]
I do wonder if she sensed our supernatural aspect, and who was chasing her.
"Of course," there's undertones of enjoyment in Yato's voice as he speaks, "There are plenty of stories of mortals defeating Monsters in numerous competitions, and turning them into servants. If we were to defeat her in open combat, she would be too weak to resist a Bonding Ritual. Another option is to challenge her to a game of her choice, with the condition that she be bound to one of you if she loses. However, take heed. All these options carry their own type of danger. If we are to confront her we should use what time we have to prepare ourselves. Like a predator stalks its prey, she will allow us time to believe ourselves safe then strike when we least expect it."
So multiple ways to deal with the situation, but we must not rush.
You hold the plastic, blue coin up for Yamato to inspect. He takes one glance at it before going back to his laptop, "A Raijin Token. They're the currency used at this Academy. There is a "shop" where you can trade them in for "rewards" inside the cafeteria. It's primarily opened on Weekdays."
Nice, so that's what they're for.

[X] Plan: Working On Our Weaknesses
-[X] Train with Yamato
--[X] Mathematics
-[X] Train with Yato
--[X] Resistance: Mental
-[X] Go To The Shop (Does Not Cost AP)

We need to improve all of our Education skills so that we at least don't fail our classes, and our mental resistance for future prep, as well as so that we can eventually improve UMT. And checking the shop, just so that we at least know what we can buy from there. I would have wanted to put some time on training MMA for our club, but that can be done on week end or wait a little.
