If we buy 2 Fierce Quickening & 2 Vigor Itself then we will have the maximum possible short-term enhancement from the Ring of Blood. Even better, it doesn't cost any Arete!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of switching to, especially considering how maxing out these Blood buffs could unlock newer, even more amazing buffs. Considering how Quickening already helps with it, maybe one of them could even solve Punctured Soul! And the +Charisma is nice to prevent Gisena from dunking on us, we've already been nerfed and our newest Condition makes it even worse.

What's next, Letrizia beating us at social combat!?

I'm going to go to sleep now, so I will vote for the non-Arete plan with the highest chances right now. I really recommend people do the same in case this vote doesn't go to consolidation. If you all want to go stats I recommed Valor since having two arms is confirmed to help with Surgecraft.

Surgecraft was declared the winner while I was writing this, making Zweihander even better and saving Arete more crucial. We really want a good element available for us, while King can be acquired later in principle even if it is rare. So I want to prioritize the former.

@Rihaku: How much does it matter if we have two arms when we pick up our surge?

I'm asking since getting our other arm back via Ruling Ring seems entirely viable, but will take longer.

Hmmm... as much as I want both Dreadnought and King Stands Alone, I suppose I will have to flip to-

[X] Forebear's Blade - Ruinous Valor
-[X] Zweihander
[X] Check up on Letrizia

-since I feel it's the most optimal. I honestly didn't expect Surgecraft to win, but am pleasantly surprised!

Also, someone give me ideas for things to draw!

Tell you what. I'll change to BLOOD STATS build and you change to BLOOD STATS build and we can spam this quote by Rihaku:

And think about what you might unlock! More Blood Advancements, perhaps?

I don't really care for the Surge. Let's just invest in Rank and Sword Praxis. They are actually synergistic with our build.

Spending Arete on Surgecrafting rather than saving for Ring, or investing in Praxis seems incredibly questionable to me.
It's not so much that I don't think we should get the ring picks here. I do. It's that I'll never be able to convince enough people of it now that we're rushing headlong into spending more arete anyway.

Sword praxis can wait. Better to get the ring now. 7 arete doesn't grow on trees and we still need 18 to finish the thing. 14 if we spend nothing here.

Wait... now this is pretty compelling. Ugh, I want all the buildvotes.

We're conserving in general! If a low Arete Surgecraft option plus Ring/Praxis option is better than high Arete Surgecrat option, then I'll take it!

20% huh
uh I guess I can make an attempt to write something after meetings tomorrow
sleep now though
(if I get blocked I guess I'll just do a react)
(though honestly as long as we don't spend here we can probably pick up a 7 arete option)

Surgecraft really just doesn't feel like it's particularly useful for Hunger. So I'm a bit sad it won, Ruling Ring offers superior utility with high grade reality manipulation and better future picks. While short term boosts are better found in preexisting synergies.

I think I'll just vote for whatever S A V E vote becomes most viable in ten hours or so.
That will be my choice as well. I'll do the same for trying to get people to pick a narrow Surge that supports our build well instead of a wide one that's expensive.

I did vote for Vertex, so I am in agreement. I am mildly annoyed that Surge won that vote given the seemingly very similar omake power and notable vote lead Vertex had.

It being completely impossible to tell what is winning in this quest without Rihaku directly stating it is... frustrating. I never know how hard I should be trying.

If people want to conserve Arete, than Rank still remains perfectly viable. We get Feats only through defeating worthy opponents while the blood stats option will always be present. Rank also come with utility alongside power.

Hence my choice of 2 Quickenings + Rank.

We don't need the Str as much as we need the Agi, and charisma is not important right now, considering the town is probably going to love us for this one.

The King Stands Alone
I did not realize it is from the Praxis. Yes it is a better Hero-defeating stance. It fixes one of the issues in our build.
Currently I think our build has 3 distinct weaknesses
- Relatively low rank (lul ranklet) - if we fight a beast in the inner temple with a higher rank it will be hard. King stands alone does not mitigate this - it merely caps the effect to overwhelming advantage. Not a great alternative
- Protection - Uttermost decreased the viability but we are still at measly 2 protection. Yes, we can tank hits and regenerate but I don`t want to play pokemon with all major complications (gotta catch them all)
- Magic defense - relying on Gisena is great and all, but this is a serious hole in our build. Opalescence + Iridescence is a budget magic defense build but it seem the thread is against Evening sky. Magic defeating stance is something that is a good solution but it is quite expensive. It will allow us to strike with 5 times more power against magic though.

BLOOD STATS

As for the arm, we shouldn't be getting a combat focused Imaginary Element anyway; noncombat utility is much harder to get through SORD and thus what we should focus on with our SURGE. That would prevent any kind of redundancy and make SURGE actually worth investing in further. If you want to see this stuff being used and empowered, vote BLOOD STATS.

I'm hoping we can do something silly-ridiculous like get a Willpower-Surge.

Think about it for a bit.
