Caster makes me imagine Bride of Frankenstein.

As for what you say, I assume that was what Brie cut off in Shirou's attempted explanation?

Is the vote closed yet? Surely hope not.

[X] "I know. But I have to try. So go easy on me."

"No. But it was necessary. The same way you're ready to send the men of this station to the slaughter should Caster had truly decided to attack while we got away," Hinako said as she shook her head. She then raised her hand, "But enough of that. Would you be willing to ally yourself with me?"

You two stared each other down as the darkness of the hallway became oppressive. The embers left behind by the burns on the wall emitted a soft glow, lighting up your faces as the moon shined upon you two.

You considered it. It would help you live through the war. If you relied on Hinako's group then you can safely weather the war until its conclusion. But then again-

Medb's face flashed through your mind.

"I have nothing to gain from this farce of a war. I'm a Doll... A Mud Doll pretending to be human. But there's one thing I do know. My Queen won't be happy giving my loyalty to another when she's around," you smiled as you stepped back.

Hinako's eyes widened then as a shadow appeared above.

"WELL SAID!"
A Bull crashed through the ceiling and nearly crushed Hinako where she stood. Your vision was then filled with White as a familiar fur coat appeared before you. You were greeted by the sight of silky pink hair before Caladbolg spun once and release rainbow light which snuffed out the growing flames.

The Bull vanished as Rider giggled and winked, "Poaching someone else's property, you're a pretty bold one, huh?"

No, but seriously, you think I'm joking with my write-ins, but this part reads as Brie refusing Hinako's amorous advances in favor of staying with her waifu, Queen Madb.

Can you quote it specifically, I don't see it. That update has a lot of things.
All of this:
You stared at him before setting down the glass of water you had on hand. Emiya blinked before he saw you take out your phone. He realized too late what was happening before Medb grabbed him behind his back as you held up your phone to him as you showed Luvia's number.

His eyes widened and you've never seen a grown man so scared as he slowly shook his head, "Don't. Brie, please don't."

"Hail Hydra," you replied as you hit the speed dial.

There wasn't even a ring before it was picked up by a familiar haughty voice.

"Yes? This is Edelfelt."

"I have Emiya. He's planning on doing something dumb again," you quickly reported as Emiya's eyes widened.

"It's not what you think, Luvia-san. I was just helping someone!" Emiya said as he struggled to break free from Medb's hold.

"He could be in danger of attracting Caster's attention but he doesn't care. He already got caught and barely escaped but he's gonna try it again," you continued while the redhead shook his head.

"I have a plan! Please don't do anything hasty!" Emiya said before Medb yawned as two Celtic Warriors appeared by her side and grabbed the man by his shoulders.

".... I see. Thank you for your hard work, Miss Brie. It seems that I can trust you better now. An admirable job. Ah, but Shero?"

Emiya winced at the tone Luvia's voice took.

"Consider your funding for your next mission halved. Also this will reach Tohsaka and Pendragon. Expect a call later."

Emiya looked like someone just cut off his strings and fell limp. Poor guy.

"We had our agreement that I will indulge your heroics but not at the cost of your own life. Tohsaka is already insufferable and I'd hate to make it worse. Not only that but be more responsible! You're going to be Father after all. You have things to leave behind if you die."

Emiya tried to say something but found that the words died in his throat before they could escape. He simply kept his silence before the Warriors let him go. He let out a sigh and nodded as if someone has splashed water in his face.

If it was the only way to make him stay put then you'll do it. You took no pleasure from this before you turned off the speaker and placed your phone on your ear.

"This is Brie. Target has been calmed down," you said as the Warriors dragged Emiya to the sofa where he could think, "Still you don't hold back, do you?"

"Give me a report of what happened."

It wasn't a request but an order. You sighed before you explained what you knew. From the abandoned resort, to the wolves and the castle you saw hidden beneath layers of bounded fields. You reported how Saber was still missing and Emiya had brought with him a girl he saved from Caster's castle.

That caused something to shatter on the other end of the line.

"That fool! No wonder he's in danger of Caster's wrath. Stupid, stupid man!"

"It's fine. I'll keep watch over him until Saber gets here. I'm just trying to keep Rider from seducing him in his moment of weakness," you replied as you glanced at your Servant eyeing the older gentleman like a cat would a mouse.

How would Luvia have reacted if she had heard what Shirou was planning to say?

And why didn't Shirou just bluntly say he and Bedivere got separated?

Eh.
He still got captured during the investigation, so Luvia would care fuck all for his excuses. Besides, he then decided to protect a person ostensibly hunted by the dead apostles, alone, and that was the main reason Luvia was angry with him.

Like, I dunno what you're driving at here, but this doesn't really change anything, imo?

I had too much fun playing beyblade and kicking absolute ass. Those children didn't stand a chance. Won every set.

Edit: Too slow on the draw.

On the flip side, called it!

The first Master we fought was a hobo, so an immortal, philosophical leech is a step up if you ask me!

On one hand, we're pretty much deep into the Parmesan (Medb) route so we can't just try to go into the Rushan (Hinako) route so freely.

On the other hand, Shirou probably won't try to let us kill her. He's a hero of justice who wants to save everyone right? Even if you trick him he'll still attempt to save you.

However, this is Brie who isn't Shirou. Welp I'm stuck. Beside, I waited too long to vote.

He's exemplifying Hero Of Justice/Family Man Shirou traits.

For Saber staying with Rin, I have a readily available explanation: Rin is the one wearing pants in the household, so Artoria is obviously her waifu and not Shirou's. :V

I think it's partly Shirou considering his escapades a vacation from the drama Saber/Rin harem brings to his life and partly Rin being jealous if Shirou brings Saber with him and not her. She would insist to go with them too. Since she's pregnant atm, that wouldn't end well for anyone.

As for why he wouldn't want us to kill her. I dunno what to say, that's, like, his entire character, to save damsels that don't want/need to be saved.
I wouldn't be so sure. It depends a lot on his ability to empathize with them. Once Shirou flips the "okay, you're dead to me now" switch he doesn't hesitate at all to kill. The hard part is convincing him that you are a threat of your own will and desire.

Appropriate for a Sword I suppose. Once drawn, the cut is decisive.

[] "I know. But I have to try. So go easy on me."

Adrenaline pumped into your veins as you stood before Hinako. Rider was fighting off Caster by herself while the Warriors kept the twisted Beast at bay. You weren't sure if you were going to win this but you had to try. You had to buy time.

Tightening your grip on your baton, you let out a shaky breath before raising your gaze. She was waiting for your answer. You could really only give one in this sort of situation that didn't involve screaming and crying.

You mustered what courage you had and replied, "I know. But I have to try. So go easy on me."

Hinako's eyes widened before she set a firm expression, "Fine. Your funeral."

You moved. Making the first move, you swung your baton at her to which Hinako easily dodged it. She sidestep your strikes before you stomped on the ground and spinned, swinging your shield for her head but she simply raised her leg to kick it back.

This left your back open before you were kicked away. Your shield took the brunt of the damage but you looked up to see Hinako dive down at you with her twin swords before you rolled to avoid her attack.

Recovering, you got up as she swung her blades at you. You clashed against her weapon before you slammed your shield forward as she leaned back.

She slammed her heel on your shield and opened your guard before smacking you across the face. You hit the ground hard before rolling to a stop. Your face felt bruised as you hissed under your breath while Hinako waited for you.

You waited before she closed the distance between the two of you as she launched her assault. She slammed her swords against your shields, her blows made your bones creak before taking much of your stamina with each hit.

Your circuits flared to reinforce your body to withstand her attacks but all you could do was catch them all with your shield. You stomped behind you before thrusting your baton to which Hinako sidestepped the strike and went for your leg.

White hot pain flashed on your flesh as you stumbled and fell down on your knee. It hurts. It hurts so much it almost made you want to cry. You turned to see Hinako flourish her hands in the air and red bolts tore through the air and went for you.

Raising Aegis, you tanked the attack and only found yourself being slid back a few inches. However before you could relax Hinako appeared in front of you as you swung your baton.

She parried your blow and disarmed you, her blade swung up and scraped against your shield. You slid back from her before you felt your blood pump into your head. You moved towards her opening to slam your shield but she jumped and kicked down your shield.

Her foot came flying for your face and you were sent soaring to the side. You hit the ground and rolled, scraping your body against the floor before stopping. Your orange hair filled your vision as Hinako walked towards you.

Ah... Get up.

Get up!

Hinako appeared before you and picked you up. She held you by the front of your jacket as she narrowed her gaze.

"It's over," Hinako said as she grimaced.

You took the flash grenade on your belt and pulled the pin. Hinako dropped you before the grenade invaded your senses. Light and ringing... You fell down your knees before you pulled your gun as Hinako staggered.

"Gotcha!" You hissed as yo-

Your body moved on its own. Your hand rested its aim between Hinako's eyes as your finger rested on the trigger.

But you forced it down to shoot her shoulder. You fired and blood flew into the air as Hinako jerked back. Her eyes widened before catching herself before you fired once more.

She moved fast, turning into a blur before she went past your bullet to grab you by your front and slam you into a car door. The metal behind you bent as she bared her teeth, showing those sharp canines you hadn't noticed before.

"Sleep!" She ordered as you gasped in surprise.

"Brie!"

A voice...

"Brie, wake up!"

Ri...der...

You saw Rider trying to get past Caster to get to you. Did you fuck up? If she was making such a disbelieving face then maybe you did.

Black. All you could see is black.

Black.

You came back online to find yourself staring into the eyes of Hinako. Her expression shifted to that of surprise to see you regain consciousness before it turned to wariness.

Your left hand found her head before you slammed it against your skull. That was enough to make her jerk back before your circuits flared on your left arm, allowing you to tear through the car door and slam it into her body.

Hinako was sent sliding back as you dashed towards her, jumping and kicking through the car door. She sidestepped your blow before you chased her as a portion of your flesh glowed.

"Holder of Truth. Enlighten mankind. Keeper of the Flames of Olympus, Ancient Prometheus, flourish thy blessing and scatter!" you chanted as fire danced around you, "Cry of the Titans!"

Hinako retreated as molten rocks erupted from the ground beneath her feet. She moved fast as she closed in on you with newfound wariness.

You moved past her swing even as it sliced through your side. You grabbed a molten rock which passed you and felt your flesh burn as you smashed it against Hinako's swords. The rock broke before she staggered and raised her leg to kick you.

Aegis transferred to your right arm and you blocked the blow. You slid back as you fell down your knees. Hinako hissed as she lowered her blades upon getting a better look at you.

"Servant Rider. Disengage from your foe," you ordered as Medb glanced at you. She tried getting past Caster but was blocked.

You swung your arm and threw Aegis through the air. Caster smacked the shield aside as Rider slipped through and got in front of you in time before Hinako disabled your limbs.

"Brie!" Rider gasped.

"Neutralize the threat upon the opening," you ordered as you pulled your gun.

"What-?" Medb said before glancing back.

Lightning fell in front of you, disrupting your aim but you fired still. The bullet flew past Rider's ear, stunning her before it struck Hinako's left side.

Medb got over the shock before using that chance to kick Hinako away with a vicious sweep. The other girl flew back before being caught by Caster.

"You shot past me!" Rider yelled at you hotly.

"Irrelevant. Servants cannot be harmed by modern firearms. Beware. They are retaliating," you replied calmly just as Hinako and Caster got ready, "It's a Noble Phantasm."

"Come forth my Magnum Opus! It's today you learn that I am a Goddess! Born from Death to Life! My Monstrous Daughter!(IT'S ALIVE)"
Caster laughed with glee as lightning streaked downwards into the parking lot and continued sparking as a figure rose from within the stream.

A monster. No, a monster trapped within a girl's flesh. An artificial human called forth and given life. A perfect being Caster had always sought after as she played the role of Goddess. By overcoming death she saw herself as divine.

The culmination of her work took the form of this creature. A girl that wore a white wedding dress and had her short brown hair cover her eyes. Electricity sparked through the air before the creature held her crackling mace.

You assessed the situation. A new threat has entered the field. You saw that three against you and Rider put you at a gross disadvantage however...

Having manifested her Noble Phantasm, Caster was locked in place as she provided the raw energy needed to maintain her monster. She was stationary which meant that the chance for a decisive blow was at hand.

"Servant Rider. Summon as many Warriors as you are able," you ordered as you held up your hand.

"Wait! You won't be able to take the strain!" Medb said in alarm.

"Follow my orders, Servant," you insisted as you began chanting, "Swift God of Messengers, bless me with thy whispers, Air Dance."

A gust of wind blew through by as you dashed forward. You closed in on the monster before electricity crackled and she met you gaze as she swung her weapon. You didn't get in her range as you bought time.

Lightning flew towards you but you caught it with your shield. An Army of Celtic Warriors charged at once towards the girl, the sight of them driving her into a frenzy as she went through their ranks.

More Warriors rose up from Medb's spilled blood as you pulled back. Now all it took was an attack that will get Caster.

"Go on! Get her, my child!" Caster yelled as the Monster turned her gaze towards you.

She chased you down but you were just barely fast enough to evade her strike. The ground split and lightning danced around you, only for her to drag her mace and swing at you.

You avoided being hit as Rider pulled you back. You pushed her away just as the Monster got between you two.

"Eliminate Caster," you ordered as the Monster reached towards you.

Rider hesitated before turning away as you raised your shield to let the Monster's hand scraped the surface of it. You pulled the pin of another flash grenade as you threw it between the Monster's eyes.

It exploded as the last thing you saw was Rider charging Caster with her-

Wait. She was turning back.

"BRIE!"

Lightning fell on you and you knew no more...

...

You woke up.

You felt tired... Your throat was dry and you were thirsty. Opening your eyes you didn't recognize the ceiling you were staring at.

Shooting straight up, you sat so sharply that you ended up hurting your head. The blood flow wasn't proper yet, it's making the throbbing worse. You looked down at yourself and found that you were wearing comfy looking pajamas.

You were in a huge room. It was bigger than the apartments you have been commandeering. You tried to think about what happened but you were blanking out. The last thing you saw was...

"Hinako," you blinked before you raised your hand to find that it was wrapped in a manacle.

You were chained.

You checked your other hand and saw that your command seals were still there. You didn't know where you were but you were starting to panic. What happened, where were you, why were you here?

"Rider..." You felt tears slowly fill your eyes, "Rider where did you go?"

You held your left hand and had the tattoos glow.

"By the power... Of my command seals..." You breathed before someone spoke up.

"I would advise I against that," a voice said before you turned to look to the side.

Hinako was seated on a chair reading a book. The book sat on too of her lap as she was giving you the same calculative look she first gave you when you met.

You just realized that your positions changed now.

"Summon Rider and you both won't make it out of here," Hinako warned you with a calm tone, "Think first and see what you could do."

"I... You caught me," you murmured as you looked down at the chains.

"Caster caught you. She said that she could use you as a model for her creations. It's the only reason you're still alive," Hinako said as she closed her eyes as if she was having a migraine, "You really impressed her back there."

"So... I'm her guinea pig now?" You asked with a narrowed look.

Hinako stared at you before standing up. She walked towards you and drew one of her swords. You flinched at the sight of it before she swung it.

She cut your chains.

"That depends if she catches you again," Hinako said as she stepped back.
