[X][Precocious] Pretend to be a normal baby by holding back on revealing your ability to speak to your parent. You won't be exactly average, but you can hopefully get close enough to not arouse suspicion.

Oh, God(s), we are in Percy Jackson.

Edit: And we are a child of Demeter (or worse, Persephone)

I'm upset we ended up as one of the least powerful demigods then. Joking, not really. Demeter's demigod's Power while not too useful combat wise has pretty much good support stuff. But with that said, I kinda wished that we had growth more directed at ourself as I had hoped.

Also, aren't we around when Thalia was just born and Zeus deciding to cheat twice?

But with that said, I kinda wished that we had growth more directed at ourself as I had hoped.

Who said it won't apply to yourself. It certainly won't be only yourself, but I do have plans to allow you to direct your focus to yourself, at least to a degree. I'm currently writing up mechanics for how it'll work actually. (They will be revealed when you get to camp)

Oh, we're going to allow the concept of growth from Demeter's domains to be applied to ourself? Sweet, that'll be pretty cool. I'll be looking forward to how you have that written up and such.

EYYY, that happened sooner than expected, but yeah. Also your mom is Demeter.

Edit: I would give you a reward, but we're not really at the stage of the quest where I have one ready. I'll keep you in mind for later though.

Does this mean that if we had chosen Strength, we'd be the son of Herc?

Edit: Is it being a reincarnation or is it the concept of growth that let us be so precocious?

So are we getting cereal Demeter or a more serious one? Just curious on how that characterization is going to change.

Yup, and it certainly would have led to some interesting paths about his bitterness towards Olympus. Maybe you could join up with Kronos and Luke for a good time.

Wouldn't you like to know? In fact, one might say that your reincarnation has made it so that you don't notice the other aspects of the concept of Growth.

Also, aren't we around when Thalia was just born and Zeus deciding to cheat twice?

In Terms of the age of Canon Characters
  • Luke Castellan - 4 years your senior
  • Thalia Grace - 2 years your senior (before tree shenanigans)
  • Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson - 3 years your junior

Characterizing Demeter will certainly be difficult and if I had to say right now I'd say that she'd be both. In general, she's a kind and gentle goddess, but there's an edge to her. She's the second child of Kronos and Rhea and she wielded a golden sword in the Titanomachy, so there's no doubt she's a great warrior. The fact that she created Winter because she was mad at Hades (and Zeus) for running off with her daughter suggests she has a temper, though it is hard to make her mad. Additionally, it suggests (at least my interpretation) that she has a protective streak.

Not going to lie, kinda wish we'd picked Strength now, lol just for the opportunity there.

You're being tricky here, but it looks like both worked together well. Still, I cannot wait to see all we can do with Growth.

Interesting position to be in, so that means when Luke's 17, we'll be 13, and Percy would be 10. But didn't he start this stuff off at the 12, that'll mean we'll be 15 and Luke will be 19. So we pretty much have likely 5 years or so, maybe more to actually mess around and get a handle on our powers before canon starts. Also, we could potentially end up on Luke's quest to the Garden though I doubt that will occur. But if it does... lol.

So we'll have the weird, kooky Demeter that was the one complaining about people not having enough wheats and such, but she'll also have some form of the stuff that should actually make her seem god-like? Cool.

While it might come up story wise, did our father actually know the truth of our mom or were we just a dump baby like some of the others.
