We don't have copper smelting! We have Tin and Lead smelting! Please consider switching the ore vote! Check the tech tab on the Civ sheet.

Edit: sorry if this comes off as rude, I know it normally is, but I felt I should let you all know that we do not, in fact, have copper smelting sense it seemed like most of you were assuming we did.

So, I am sure many people are going to tell you that soon, but...
Tagging people, especially a large number of people, for the sake of pestering them to change their vote?
It's considered rude.

Also, I specifically am just curious where could that road go.
It'll be a while for getting proper metallurgy anyway.

I know. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew that we didn't have copper smelting. It seemed like a lot of people were voting for the ore option believing that we did.

I mean, in this case? Personally I'm very much glad they did. Important info that I didn't check on.

You could have just posted the information without tagging.
If that's new info, you'd get rated highly, thus attracting more visibility to your post. And others would also make posts about it, and how it's good to know and how they are changing their votes (edit: they do it right now, even).

Just... imagine what you are doing becoming common practice. People from various quests tagging lots of people for the purpose of general voting.
I follow 7+ active quests. I am not certain what's the average, but I can guess it's not a lot lower than that.
Imagine how obnoxious would alerts get, if other people thought this was a good idea. And they will find reasons to use this, if only because they disagree with other's vote choices (and that would really be enough for some, especially for controversial votes).

Normally, tags are from a form of calling a specific person out. Like, @QM to ask him a question. Or @PlanMaker because their plan is flawed, and only they can change it.
Let's keep it that way.

I totally get PurposefulZephyr's reasoning (except for ratings causing visibility? That I don't get at all) but in this case, and for similar reasons... please for the love of all things questy, ping/pm/tag whatever to get my attention if I'm making a decision based on faulty as hell reasoning/information.

I know, I know. Just felt that it was something you all should and would like to know and felt that a normal post might get looked over. Rude, I know but I felt like I should do it anyway, you know?

On the bright side if we get though this we at the very least get the legendary defenders legacy.

I really do think we should get the middle landers in our nation.
We will have the boar nomads in their groip, giving access to cav and we will learn to tolerate the nomads instead of being over zealous and wanting to kill all of them. Even if we do still kill all the ones in the highlands, we'd learn how to do it more effectively through the information we get from the nomads under us.

The bird people can give valuable air power and can give us information on par with the farseer goddess due to the fact that they can fly and see ths camps and return, allowing us to improve our war effort.

Also, if they have any tech or tactics we dont, we can adopt it from them. The lowlanders have wared for ages, the bird folk have managed to stay independent for very long, and the nomads and a fair portion of their knowledge will be at our disposal.

At our gates is the greatest boon, and our government type allows us to have them without any administrative strain too. We should make the most of this and bring them under us.

ughh. I really hope they do have all those races and it works... but...
[X] [Midland] Claim the midlanders as a conquest of the People. (Midlanders become a Vassal of the Arthwyd.)

Also... that it doesn't turn us into conquerors for our faith or anything like that. I'm okay with having a value for helping refugees and peacefully bringing others to the Goddesses. Just, hope that isn't a kill everyone that disagrees kinda thing.

This isn't reddit, though. Rating posts doesn't actually increase visibility past the page that it's posted on.

While true, I meant it in the psychological "others like it, so it's clearly important" and "look, shiny!" way.
Sometimes I catch myself doing that- going through the thread, paying special attention to highly rated things (and mostly ignoring not-rated).
Now, that sounds almost like a challenge....
You must at least avoid getting us banned. :p

Yeah, same. But I feel that we are likely exceptions in that. Most people, near as I can tell, tend to vote as best they understand at the time and then move on, perhaps occasionally poking back into the thread for the latest page.
