Where you see diluting I see improving considering how Medical Ninjutsu is already a part of our skill set. Also far better than our healing bite in terms of number of uses.
I don't really view 'times we used it before the age of 8' as a key factor in what skills are important. I think Rin can better face the challenges to come by doubling down on her sensing, speed, taijutsu, Sharingan, and elemental ninjutsu and letting other ninja who aren't able to do those things take care of medical ninjutsu.

status of different persons of interest as grasped from the last update:
Itachi & Hokage: currently trapped inside Obito's dimension. working on breaking out. timeframe unknown.
Obito: on his way to killing Uchiha or currently killing Uchiha

Nanako: dead
Fugaku: poisoned and wounded, getting medical aid
Arkidi: dead
Suiho: dead
Korin: almost dead, healing due to Uzumaki bite.
Mikoto: dead

Danzo: right in front of us...
Sasuke: cowering behind an overturned table in the same room as Danzo

Several other Uchiha's still alive.

Trumpcards with unknown effects. Brackets contain guesses:
Eye in left shoulder: (???)
Something in stomach (Itachi's genjutsu crow? Shisui's eyes?)

Mission Objective: Survive

Also sounds like the Hokage has broken out of Danzo's genjutsu. As long as we can survive him, he is done for.

[X]Immediately decline
+Medic-nin skills restricted to the very basics

I feel like learning to be a medic would make the quest less fun. We'd have to devote time to non-combat skills, and it would take away focus from all the fighting and ninja battling.

[X]Tell her you'll think about it

[X]Go all out from the start
-[X]In order to stall

Both of Shisui eyes are with the crow in our stomach while the extra eye in our left shoulder is some random sharingan specifically to be sacrificed for izanami right?

Edit: btw, what would happen if we didn't tell nanako about shisui?

I am almost certain doing anything other than going all out from the start in order to stall will end with horrible things happening to us, as opposed to simply bad things happening to us.

I supposed we couldn't just play dead until we have an opening for gandfr.

Rin didn't tell her parents what Itachi did.

... o_O

Yeah.

Rin didn't tell her parents what Itachi did.

She doesn't even quite get what he did; until she has thought it over a bit, she's keeping it to herself.

Danzo is on a timer here.
If he takes too long, reinforcements from Konoha might arrive.

If he gets strapped for time, he might decide to just take the hit of losing one eye. and then we do surprise izanami.

stalling is our best option imo.

Sensing, Speed, Taijutsu, Sharingan and 7 elements = 11 subjects and 1/11 progress in each of them compared to one skill (which would improve control, anatomy, reinforcement, yin release and yang release).

Hey guys. If my Omake is even slightly canon, I'm declaring that Obito hates every Uzumaki and Seal Master even and now has a fear of Chains.

I don't think that's accurate at all. We devote training actions, not xp points, and I expect there to be several techniques and stats involved in medical ninjutsu.
I expect the difference is something like 15-25% more time available for combat training and I value the impact of that more than the ability to patch people up.

Personally, I want to focus primarily on the elements. I've stated that I'm hoping to achieve a level of proficiency with them that's so high that we can mix and match them at will and create new jutsus on the fly, at the expense of any skills that aren't 100% critical to being a ninja. I feel like if we add magecraft to our ninjutsu, we really have the potential to start doing things most ninja would consider impossible, and that's going to serve us a lot better then any other path we could choose.

More importantly, I don't want to play the game as the medic class. It just doesn't sound as fun.

Maybe we should start focusing on copying ninjutsus? Being able to immediately understand jutsus with our eyes should accelerate our ability to master and then modify them.

EDIT: One of my problems with this update is that the only two options are go all out and conserve chakra. Wouldn't a ninja need to go all out just to run from Danzo?

Combat training would be limited by chakra expense, improved/perfect control should significantly increase time/effectiveness of combat training.

I consider chakra control a relevant skill we should train for our combat effectiveness, yes. I didn't mean sparring or something specific like that by combat training.

Again, wouldn't a ninja need to go all out just to run from Danzo?

Danzo is pretty darn scary.

Also, wouldn't the rest of Root also be here?

It's pretty much canon.

A (+) to Luck (permanent) AND a rank up to Luck (temporary).

Also, for the Gandr Omake earlier, a rank up to Luck (temporary).
First of all, thank you!

Secondly, as I previously stated, Obito hates Uzumaki and Seals with a passion and has a fear of Chains. That's my headcanon for this quest.
