No. I mean the comprehension. It's easy enough for newborns to mimic speech they heard.

She is not quite a newborn though. She is nearing five months of age (timeskip).
On the other hand, our father, Suiho (or, rather, Suihou/Suihō) is used to some Uchiha developing like that. WoGm/head-canon, Itachi first spoke (edit: coherent words, too!) slightly earlier than us and could understand simple sentences at not-yet-six months.
Edit: Korin, as an 'outsider', did not have much contact with the clan head and his family. She might have known Mikoto in passing, but that's mainly because of Kushina, and the latter hadn't seen Mikoto in a while at the time Itachi was born in my head-canon.

After you drink your mother's milk (what? It's healthy), she starts rocking you to sleep, but you can tell something is up with her. You decide to show your appreciation for having a living and healthy mother, so you say, "love Mama," with all your heart.
Korin looks at you and your (probably toothless) grin and sighs a bit. Still, you can tell that whatever troubled her has eased, or at least been left for later. She says, "Love you too, Rin."
As she leaves, you-
…You realize that your mother is still conflicted, but you can't tell how you know. It's like having a new sense, kind of like when you detected Prana in your previous world.
'Shit, it's exactly like that,' you think. It was like you had an extra pair of eyes, then and now.
After your mother replies and you discover some sort of sensory technique, you go to sleep. When you wake up in your crib, you decide to improve on your speech. So, you start doing various simple vocal exercises, as well as repeat various words you have heard.
After that, you decide to meditate on your previous life's memories.
You are in the Clock Tower, talking to your master.
